Intermittent Slow WIFI - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hey guys...
I have a problem,
once a day (or two) my wifi on my GS3 (stock, 4.1.1, videotron) becomes slow...
I try loading something (on the web)... it's slow, then I try a Speed Test.
Result is always something like : 250 or 500 or 800 KBps
Then, the solution is : desactivate wifi, wait 2-3 seconds, reconnect, and then bang 10 000 mbps. Everything is fast.
Do you have an idea why ?

Hmmm....
It could be because of the time of day. I have two wifi networks in my home (att & clearwire), and I have low bars (0 or 1) on both of them in the morning & afternoon. But all bars at night. It could also be that sometimes you need to refresh your connection, just like you have to restart your phone sometimes.

GPS lag after some time?? crazy

hey there,
when i recieved my rhodium my gps signal was very bad and slow... Almost 10-15 minutes to get a signal!
I tried the gps settings in this other thread 2 weeks ago and my NAVIGON 7 software was able to find 9 gps satellites at 150 km/h in 10 seconds.. very good! And i've loved the new settings... I was also able to get a signal in my living room! Which was completely impossible with the original settings!
But here comes the strange thing: NOW it is working almost like before the tweaks! I was driving 50 km/h and the gps was not getting a signal for 20 minutes... crazy?
I checked all settings and there is no mistake or restore of the old ones...
what can I do?? Why this happens?? I did not change anything...
I Hope you can help me..
Best wishes
See

[Help] Wifi problem, slow conection

Hello I would like some help,
I'm having a problem with the wifi on my phone, I never hang the same. When I get home (this happened anywhere, my mother's house, in the company) the phone connects to the wireless network, high signal, will measure the speed of the internet gives very low, 280ms, 3 megs of speed totally unstable. with that, I turn off the wireless network of mobile and reactive again, hopefully enable and squeegee the speedtest again, everything is normal, 20ms ping, 15 megs of speed stable, everything perfect.
If the screen stays off long it happens again. I had other phones and it did not happen on the same network, such Onex and sensation
Anyone have this problem? I've tried several different roms, it seems that this problem started giving the firmware 4.1.2.
Already thanks.

[Q] HOX really bad data rates

Hi,
have a really annoying problem with my HOX at the mo.
Randomly, i get really bad download rates (40 Bytes a second, BYTES, not Kilo bytes!!)
I can be connected to H data, with a good signal, but my phone just cannot seem to download anything at a sensible rate, it hunts around, download at 40, 60, 80, maybe 120 bytes a second. this also happens on a 3g or E signal, i can restart the phone, turn airplane mode on and still have the same problem, which is getting rather annoying.
Sometimes a restart or going into airplane mode and back out fixes things, other times it just sorts itself out and i can then download at normal rates (200+ KB a second)
I flashed AR 31.1 months ago, since then i have changed to AR 33.1 and tried Venom 4.0.7 with a full wipe between each one with no fix to the problem.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem??
thanks in advance
anyone, I could really do with a phone thats useable at the mo!
May be change your service provider...
hmmm, think its a problem with my phone as my wifes on the same provider and dosent have my problems.

Wireless problems on Android 7

Just installed stock android 7 a week ago and the last few days wifi, Bluetooth (sometimes) and tethering (wired, wifi, bluetooth) will turn off if the screen turns off. And when tethering of working it is extremely slow. Like takes a few mins to load Google slow. Is anyone else noticing that this year and I've looked around and apparently the tethering being slow happens on Android 6 but that's after phone is been up for a couple of days I rebooted the phone and it was fast for 30 seconds. I'm getting speed test 40 megabits down from my server on my phone so that's not the problem
For wifi, you can try going into the wifi settings, clicking on the settings icon and change "keep wifi on during sleep" to always.
You can also try uninstalling and reinstaling the Google Connectivity Services app.

GPS turns off when not moving for several minutes

I recently bought a Mate 20 (not Pro, Lite, or X), mainly because of the dual GPS feature. But now I have noticed, and reproduced, that when tracking my activity, the phone will the GPS signal when I don't move for several minutes (in the first instance it was about 5 minutes, the second time 26 minutes before the signal was lost).
The GPS signal will not come back after this, even when moving again, except for very short timespans (5-10 seconds, twice over several hours).
This behavior does not occur if not moving at all: You have to move, then stop moving for several minutes, and then GPS signal is lost.
The GPS signal was not blocked by anything, I was on the outside. I also did disable all power-saving features, but the problem does not seem to be connected to any particular tracking app: I was running 4 apps simultaneously, and neither was able to record a position after not moving).
So it seems like the firmware turns off GPS reception once it determines that the phone isn't moving anymore - without any notification, and while GPS is still turned on in the settings (and it stays on in the settings even though the firmware blocks actual GPS reception.
Is there any way to stop this behavior, so that GPS will always try to receive a signal even if I don't move for hours?
*Please do not post anything like "did you do all updates", "do a factory reset" and other general tips like these.
