Lost boot.img and my nandroid backup - HTC One X

Hi All...
I just rooted my HTC One X and installed a rom succesfully..
The only problem is: I wanna go to custom rom (just to check if the JB update has arrived for my CID), the only detail is that I lost my boot.img backup and my nandroid backup.
Is there a way I can get a generic boot.img??
My CID es BSTAR301 from Mexico, carrier Iusacell.
Version Main says: version-main: 2.17.513.2
Any idea or suggestion???
I've searched for a RUU/nandroid backup, but none for this particular CID/Version main, the only RUU i've found is for
version mainver: 1.29.515.11, carrier Entel, Chile...
Thanks in advance.

I can't help you much from my phone but you're going to need to reflash your phone back to stock to check whatever that you need to see.
Try scrolling through the main development threads and there should be (hopefully) a guide to help you with that.

That CID is for TWM_TW.
The only thing I could find is
PJ46IMG_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_TWM_TW_1.29.921.7_Radio_1.1204.104.14_release_259286_signed.zip
This is NOT the RUU, but the full ROM zip.

i don't think that you can flash a different phone's nandroid backup, there are many variables that change from a phone to another

Hi, could you send me a link for this backup if you still have it? Trying to get back to TMOB005 stock
Much appreciated!
Hi.
I also need the 2.17.110.5 RUU, as I'm trying to get back to stock rom from Cyanogenmod, as I want to install Jelly Bean OTA (TMobile just released it a week or so ago).
In the absence of that, I downloaded the Nandroid backup....however I'm having problems installing from Nandroid backups.
Here's what I've done:
Flashed the boot.img from the zip/rar file. (seemed to work fine)
Went into recovery in HBOOT.
Tried to recover from the ZIP, and it failed.
Is there something I'm missing here? (sorry, very much a noob when it comes to these things!)
A nandroid backup has to be unpacked. A RUU is a single .exe file.
Download the matching nandroid backup from here . Check the cid and main version.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
Unpack it and place it on the phones sdcard looking like this
Clockworkmod\backup\date and time folder\nandroid backup files
Flash the boot.img from the nandroid backup and enter the recovery , do a full wipe except sdcard and restore the nandroid !
When all this works you flash back the stock recovery
http://db.tt/U5CK4noo
And after that you can update the phone to JB
in case the ruu is needed you can get it from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6e21wodv...adio_2.1204.137U.21_release_284360_signed.exe
n1kos & Mr Hofs...thank you both very much. I'll let you know how I get on, but fingers crossed.
Worked perfectly. RUU not even required. You guys really helped a noob out there. Wish I could give you more thanks.
No problem mate ! Glad it worked !!!

I'd give 10 thanks for this one post if I could, RUU worked perfect.
I initially tried the nandroid you uploaded but when installing the JB update it would always error in recovery.
Thanks n1kos

all day i was looking for a way to backup my stock signed recovery.img before flashing TWRP for rooting [already unlocked bootloader],
then i searched for it and found this one [2.17.401.2] not a perfect match for my [2.17.415.2] , i remember someone was saying any 2.17 may work, is this correct and if not then i have to find a way to backup my img, and if you have ruu can this be extracted from it.

Yeah that is correct, you can install any stock rock that matches with 2.17... But if you have the correct ruu for your hox you can also extract that from it

There is no RUU available, but you can go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
And download the matching nandroid backup ! Restore it including the boot.img and the stock 2.17 recovery. After that you can update

The 2.17 appears to be a broken link, would the higher version work if i downloaded it? It's this one;

Depends on your hboot. Did you already updated the phone to JB ? If not then you can not use it because that's the JB version.

I updated my phone to a Cyanogen 10 Mod which is running Jellybean.
Well that's no guarantee because those roms also run on the lower hboots, check the top of the bootloader and read what hboot number you have

My HBoot is: 1.12.0000
Then you need the 2.17 nandroid backup or a lower one. I contacted the owner of the nandroid backup already so i hope to hear something soon.

Its your only option, a lower ruu will not work because we dont have s-off. A lower nandroid backup would work but that is also missing in the list....
I will let you know when i have news about the backup

Will this work even if I have done most of the steps for unrooting? All i had left to do was run the ruu file as administrator (thought i had the right one earlier) and then follow the steps. I haven't tried to reboot my phone but I have relocked it.

Yeah whats on the phone is not important, the trick is to enter the bootloader and lock the bootloader (as you said you already did) then perform the commands gien in the thread and flash the firmware. It will lift your hboot to 1.36. After that you unlock th bootloader again and flash a custom recovery and perform a full wipe and then install the desired JB rom

Oke update, got rid of some issues by using teamviewer....phone is up and running on JB !
heya, i tried to get back to stock on a thread before and it never worked. my hboot is 1.36. and im also locked to orange. help?

thank you man!! cant believe it was that easy in the end

RUU troubles

I've been searching for hours how to get back to stock using RUU, but it seems there's no RUU for my One X:?

Haha, I spent a whole day searching for nandroid back-ups and RUUs, that's why I asked for a link. Thank you, anyway!
Edit:
I'm now using a custom Rom, and it's ok. I just wanted to go back to stock because custom roms gives me problems with hdmi wireless adaperts, and I thought that would solve the problem. Found out that one x is compatible only with the HTC media link, and not others wireless adapters
