With superuser there is a permanent unroot feature built in. Just click it and it will remove superuser.apk and SU binary file.
And as you know now. This belongs in the Q&A section. You can ask a mod to move it for you.

But here

just set your phone to download mode (power on with Volume down depressed) and plug it in to your PC. Run this and you should be stock FL24 and unrooted.

Do you not pay attention at all? g_ding84 just told you the easiest way to unroot. Don't post in the dev section anymore or you'll be penalized. Now let the flame wars begin.

OP, questions belong in the Q&A section. Development is reserved for dev related items.
Thanks to the guys who did not flame. :highfive:

Btw some reading goes a long way. Quick boot from the market will put you in download mode.

Can you get into download mode on your phone. With the phone turned off hold down the volume down button, camera button and power button at the same time. Then use Odin on your pc to odin back to stock or eb13 and start over again.
I thought download mode was holding 1 and the power button? Lol, but I am running linux and odin doesn't work. my epic is flashed to metro, and if I could use odin, wouldn't it erase my flash?
If you can get into download mode then check out this thread in the development section. It will take you to EB13, Root and CWM all in one step. Check it out.

Did you say that Odin recognize your phone or doesn't recognize it? If Odin recognize your phone then your definitely in luck.

Now you have to get the original unrooted factory rom .tar file and restore your phone back to factory. Your phone is just soft bricked so you are very lucky. Use google or the xda search feature and look up something along the lines of "SGH-T989 .tar file" or "T-Mobile Galaxy S II tar". The exact file you need is floating around here somewhere.

There is no stock rom tar file for our phone yet. We only have a kernel and stock recovery tar.

Honestly I haven't done this yet with the GS2, but I've done it a million times with a Vibrant I once owned. I'm gonna look it up right now and see what I find. This should be a pretty easy process. The best part is that at least your phone isn't completely bricked.

First do a battery pull, then put the battery back into the phone, hold both the up and down volume rocker and press the power button till the phone vibrates (letting you know its been turned on), soon as the phone vibrate then release the power button but do not let go of the volume rocker until you see the recovery image! Once you see the recovery image you are easily back in business. Let me know if you can at least get into recovery.

What ROM did you guys install? Few questions. Did you guys install Samsung drivers. If not install through kies or from the development section here and reboot computer. Then put in download mode and wait for comp. to recognize phone again. try entering recovery and flash a basic stock ROM from dev section. See if that works.

Am I bricked?

I was recovering my backed up stock rom( came from cm9) and I received an error saying "format rfs device failed on system" or something to that effect while trying to restore it. Once that happened, the back was off, and the battery came out so I tried to boot back into recovery....I get the SAMSUNG logo, soft key lights come on, phone goes black, then back to the samsung logo.
I cannot boot into recovery, do a normal boot, all I can do is download mode. Where should I go from here?
You went from bml to mtd... you CANNOT RESTORE BML NANDROIDS ON MTD. Please read bout things before flashing things.
On a helpful note.. you will need to unbrick your device by odining back to stock. Give me a second and ill link you the how to. If you feel incompetent then I offer unbricking services if you would like via teamviewer7.
Also you don't post questions in general... there is a q&a forum for questions.

http://devphone.org/files/epic4g/Odin3_v1.61epic.pit.zip
http://devphone.org/files/epic4g/SPH-D700-EC05-8gb-REL.tar
download all of those files
# Install Samsung drivers (if you haven't already)
# Extract and open up Odin
# Place the pit file in the PIT slot and the .tar file in the PDA slot
# MAKE SURE ONLY "AUTO REBOOT" IS CHECKED
# Boot phone into download mode (Turn the phone off and hold '1' key and power button)
# Connect USB cable
# Click start now sit back and wait for it to finish
after you do that you should be on stock EC05 and then you can do the one click root again

That'll do it, but I would recommend a newer tar as EC05 is an old Froyo ROM

Sure, forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599752
It's a leak but it'll work just fine. If you're gonna be flashing over to an MTD ROM it won't matter anyway.

Hmm I'm not really sure but I'm almost positive all of the current ROMs contain a kernel with root. You could flash CWM through Odin and then flash a ROM or a BML kernel if you plan on staying stock and you'll be rooted. I'll get you a link to a CWM tar here in a sec.
EDIT: flash this in Odin after you get back to stock:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357655
You'll find the link further down in the post for the .tar file. If you want to go to CM9/AOKP/other MTD TW ROM, most of them will automatically flash the MTD compatible CWM. This one that I linked is for BML ROMs only.
Hope this helps!

once you odin back to stock and root, just flash a zip version a bml deodexed rom. there is stock fc09 deodexed that is bml. make sure you have repartition checked and don't forget to include the pit file in odin before you start the process. also make sure you do not use the stock cable that came with the phone. use a blackberry data cable if you have one available. others wise something similar.
I believe re partition auto checks when you put the pit file in. But either way make sure its checked. I forgot it once and it wasn't pretty

Thank you all, I got it up and running.
I have a fully bricked EPIC 4G.
Have try every possibility that do not include opening my phone.
I even try to use the USB unbrick JIG solution and nothing
My batter is at 4.045V and I am not able to get anything, my screen is completely BLACK
Is there something I might try or some way to get this cell-phone into DOWNLOAD MODE so I can save it?
If not, I will have to take it to SPRINT and see if they can do something or replace it

Actually I have been reading every possible solution during the past 2 and today I build my own USB JIG that has a 300kohm resistor between pin 4-5 and still not able to get into download mode.
Have left the battery out of the cell-phone for a complete day.
Have try keep push button 1 and power and sliding the battery in, wait for a couple of seconds, slide it out and repeat the process for a while.
Done the same using the USB

Bricked question... possible when done Odin?

I went to root to an s3 using correct files etc. The Odin gave me a pass and I let it sit a few seconds and then unplugged the USB. Then no start up... is it bricked? Can it be recovered using the USB jig? Any other way?

Wait....
