I believe I seen people saying to rename HTCLockscreen.apk or delete it. The only bug with it is that you have to unlock the phone, then answer the phone call.

Rename the HTClockscreen.apk to HTClockscreen.bak..... its in system apps and reboot your device....
Removing the HTC sense lock ring
I too was going crazy with this isue, but I finally found a solution and wanted to share with you guys/girls.
My phone is the HTC one V with HTC Sense ver.4
Ok so, first thing is to disable all security on the HTC Sense.
This will give the default pull ring when u try to unlock the phone
Now i installed 2 things , the go launcher EX and the Go Locker. The settings you need to change are in Go Locker so you shouldn't need go launcher EX hopefully i just prefer it over HTC Sense.
Ok so, launch Go Locker and (if you get a screentalking about locking the home key i just by passed that by clicking "set later") click setting icon on top right corner,
All seeting stayed on Default except the following :
activate Go Locker : ON
And now go to security:
I clicked on pattern
drew my pattern and saved it
and all the way to the bottom you see a setting called:
Password unlock (directly enter the password, skip the lock screen page) --> THIS IS THE ELUDED SETTING TURN THIS ON
and no more slide lock (and hopefully no ring i haven't tried it without go launcher ex) when you try and unlock your phone it will take you directly to the pattern screen
WOO HOO!!!
lock screen : disabled this was the default i didn't change it
advanced setting -->
Turn off system lock : Select "none" to prevent showing double lock --> just better to disable all security on the HTC Sense
Hope this helps

can anyone guide me how to make go locker's lock and default pattern work simultaneously ? i am dealing with problem after installing go locker ,
1. it's easy to unlock phone when we use go locker
2. pattern seems not to be working Properly ...
Can some one help me out?
And yes, i am using sgs3.
Might be a better idea to put this in Q&A.
My 2c would be to uninstall go locker and use the default.
What is the idea in having to lockscreens?? .don't get that..
But if u want to make go locker the default locker, then set it as default LAUNCHER, either by using options in go launcher or use "home switcher" to set it
Hi all..this is my first post
Can i remove stock lockscreen
I'm currently running Blacknotes The Last Page, and i wanna change my locscreen using Holo Locker
But when i install i get double lockscreen
I try to remove using :
- Setting -> Security -> Set Screen Lock = None
- Using app : NoLock & No Lock screen
- Turn off in 14toggles
it all doesnt work for me
well i try to disable and enable my Holo Lockscreen and it works but everytime i turn off and on the phone
it back to double screen lock again
I heard it can be done in CM but for now i'm not plan to switch to CM 7 or 9
Try to read 5 related post on xda still no luck
Sorry for repost & my bad english
Thanks :good:
There is a 'no lock' app (actually more than one) which disables the lock screen. For me it only disables stock lockscreen, hope this works for you

Thanks for the respon :good:, but in my case No Lock and the others only disable stock lock screen temporary, once it restarted it back to both stock and holo lock screen

I wouldnt know anything else you could try, have you asked at the black notes Rom thread? Maybe someone there has an answer. Good luck

Yes i think i should ask Rio for that
but my post less than 10
maybe after 11 post i will ask in BN thread
Thanks :good:
Well, just now I found a solution. Since after you restart, it still goes back to double locker, I just Clear Data on the holo locker app, and then I do the Home Key Helper again on the holo locker app. As it looks, I need to do this, everytime I restart my phone.
WARNING: Currently there is no known way to reset the lockscreen back to Sense (without wiping your device)! Only continue if you really want to remove the Sense lockscreen!
I'm sure you've noticed all the posts on how to install a custom launcher, or how to get back the stock lock screen. Sadly, a lot of methods on this require root. Well, while I was prodding around my One, I found a method of disabling the Sense lock screen. Here's how I (think) I did it:
1. Download a file browser (I recommend ES File Explorer)
2. Navigate to /system/app
3. Find "HTCLockScreen.apk" and copy it to /sdcard
4. Navigate to /sdcard and try installing the APK (you'll need unknown sources enabled for this).
6. It may or may not say that the installation failed. Ignore that and restart the phone.
7. Enjoy!
Now, this is what I think is causing the HTC lockscreen to be disabled, although I'm not sure. Post a response with your results.
~~~~~~~~
Now, for those of you who want the stock launcher instead of custom one (like Nova or Apex), here's an APK you can install to get just that: http://goo.gl/cwdtHO
Hope this helps some people!
Nevermind.
Shouldn't, in theory at least, when you try to install that APK, it is placing something in /data/, which is writeable, so when the APK that is in /system/ checks, it finds two versions, one which has the permission to override the default, and one who doesn't?
I could be completely wrong there.
I just tried this and previously had pin unlock. I cannot change it to anything but pin, password, and pattern unlock. I don't see how its possible to add DashClock this way. Are you guys able to choose "none" or "face unlock" for security?
Yeah, I don't think you can really customize how this AOSP lockscreen works without setting it up beforehand. I would like to get the AOSP lockscreen with DashClock and pin unlock. I wonder if that's possible.
I already restored my backup, but can you try hitting "Clear Credentials" in Security settings to see if it will then allow you to switch to no security for customization? I forgot to try this beforehand.
Customization worked for me. What I had to do was remove all existing widgets (swipe down from home screen > long press and drag to remove) **I think I had to do this twice** and then my lock screen was blank no clock just the lock icon with swipe to unlock.
Then go to settings > personalize and select the "widget" lock screen option, select settings and pick the widget you want. I used Chronus (CLock from CyanogenMod). I then locked and unlocked my device and the widget now shows on the screen.
Like many other people, I hate the sense style lock screen on the HTC one. After installing the GEL launcher to a more stock android experience all I wanted to do was get rid of the sense lock screen but the problem was my phone isn't rooted. But I found a way to get the stock lock screen minus some of it's features and here's how:
1. Personalize> Lock Screen Style> Select the No Lock Screen
2. Apps> All> HTC Lock Screen> Click force close
3. Apps> All> Lock Screen Command Control> Click Disable
4. Restart your phone
After doing these steps you should now have the stock android lock screen, the only problem being that so far I can only get it to have the unlock option instead of also the Google and camera unlocks. To get widgets however, you can go to Personalize> Lock Screen Style> widgets> settings> And then click the widget that you would like on the lock screen. By disabling the sense lock screen like this and instead of using an install method it is much easier to revert back to the sense lock screen by just enabling the Lock Screen Command Control.
Hope this has helped some of you who aren't rooted and are trying to get rid of the sense lock screen.
I want to thank everyone on here for the replies over the last two days on my other questions.
One thing I want is to get DashClock as the default lock screen, but I can only get it to the "screen on the right of my normal launch screen" and am unable to delete the default lock screen and make DashClock take over the "one on the left" that is the default.
Has anyone gotten DashClock to work properly with the new HTC One, and if so, please tell me how.
Thank you all,
I haven't been able to figure out how to get a different widget on the "main" homescreen, either. I was able to swipe to the left (to go right) and place a widget on that homescreen, but no way to change the default that I can see.
Not sure I understand your issue. You can remove the default widget(s) on the device by simply pressing and holding, then dragging them off the screen. You can also modify the home screens in Settings --> Personalize --> Manage Home Screen Pages. You can switch which screen is "home" and even remove a whole screen.
As far as adding apps/widgets/homescreens, just press and hold a blank space on the screen and utilize the dropdown menu.
I have Dashclock running just fine on my M8, and use it for Daydream. Only issue I don't like is that to get it to Daydream horizontally, I have to start Daydream manually with the phone horizontal. Wish it would autosense that.
Like everyone else is stating, we can add DashClock to the right, move, edit and remove the DashClock lock widget screen, but it is always to the right of the "home lock screen" thus if I want to see it I need to swipe from the very top of the lock screen to see what is to the right of it.
The "home lock screen" is unable to be "removed' since the "remove" button is greyed out for that, I can only "edit". When I want to remove or edit the DashClock lock screen both the "edit" and "remove" are available, but not on the default lock screen widget.
No one else has bene able to get DashClock on the main lock screen because I can't drag DashClock to the left, and I can't drag the home screen lock widget to the right, even though I can see both when I have DashClock "held down" to move, it just won't go to the left of the defaul "home lock screen" to then make DashClock the default view.
To tell the truth, I haven't figured out how to add widgets to the lockscreen..... I use a PIN anyway so not sure it would make a difference.
Go to Settings > Security > Enable Lock Screen Widget.
Doesn't work you can't move or remove the main lock screen. I can edit and move and lock screens I add to the right, but not the default main one.
Not for dash clock but for Nils you can use the floating widget and it works fine
I still can't remove the main widget OR get the Dashclock to become the main widget "on the left".
Anyone?
Well I bit the bullet and bought "Widget Locker" just so I could get a proper lock screen. Bull**** I have to pay $2.99 to get my lock screen up.
You normally have to go to Settings>Security and allow widgets first, then you can add a new one and delete the original (at least that's how you do it on the Nexus 5)
Eddy, thank you for the reply but clearly you haven't read a single thing on this thread. Anyone can add as many widgets as they want, but they can't delete the default one on the home screen, so we are stuck with it because the "remove" is greyed out for the default. I can have DashClock widget to the right of my main one, but that does no one any good.
It is impossible to remove the default widget, or move it to a position where it is not the default. The only way to get DashClock widget properly installed on this ever increasingly ****ty phone is to pay $2.99 for a program to unlock it.
Chill, dude - I had read it, just missed the bit about the stock one being greyed out, just thought you were having issues making the new one the 'home' one! Surprised HTC have done that, kinda sucks as I prefer to have Chronus as my lockscreen widget of choice...
this is the product of the f***ing Standard clock on the 1st Lockscreen page. You cannot delete it, you cannot move it to 2nd Screen, so to have a e.g. nice Dashclock, you always have to Swipe right or left.
Dirty solution atm for me is NiLS with Floating Panel on stock lockscreen. I would use the AOSP lockscreen with Dashclock (running ViperOne), but it's lacking off DoubleTap2Wake function. And after 1 week, it's a thing Icannot live without anymore
