USB jig - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Is it safe to test to see if my USB jig works on a working phone? Will it harm it? And if it does work and goes to download mode can I boot back??

Its perfectly safe I've done it when I got my first jig just remove the battery and boot back up

How did you do it and what are the symptoms?

Are you pressing volume down + home + power?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Should just be volume down and power, I assume you've also pulled the battery and let set for a while before trying again?
At worst you can actually make a USB jig with supplies easily gotten at like a radioshack. Zedomax started a thread on it

Possible to Odin?

Is it possible to Odin back to stock without a computer? I am currently in the process of packing and moving and have no internet or computer right now.
I want to flash back to stock because of some rebooting and staying off issues with my phone.

Thanks for the suggestion I just tried it right now and it just said this device is not supported. To create a system dump.
So I'm guessing it doesn't work for the t989.

I'm not at my computer right now, but..
You need to download Odin to your computer, download the stock firmware of which model phone you have (make sure you download the right one)
And flash it via Odin.

The 1.26gb file sounds big (even with stock bloatware)... if that file containes modem/radio content then make sure you have a backup first
