So I'm using the Rogers HOX (evita), and therefore I know I should be using evita-based ROMs. However, not all ROMs specify which model they're for. If a ROM doesn't specifically state which model they're for (either in the title or instructions, I've looked through entire threads and haven't found this information) what should I do? I'm somewhat afraid to ask this question in the ROM-specific thread, given I have a feeling its blatantly obvious and I just missed an easy way of checking this.
Everything on this board is for the EndeavorU.
For Evita ROMs, please see this:

For starters you need to go to the right forum. This is all for the endeavoru phones. There is a thread called AT&T, HTC one XL, ROGERS forum .....
That's where you need to be. Don't flash stuff from here
See, I knew I was missing something obvious. Thanks
Case closed ! :d

I got myself a htc one x today but it has that o2 branded software.
I am looking to get the stock software on it and I don't know how.
Looking for a n00b proof guide.
Thanks for all the help in advance.
Well since nobody answered I'll. I don't want to sound like a troll but don't you think this is a bit going too far?
I don't believe that you bothered to check the 09/07/2012 Everything HTC One X. *** Read this before posting *** Sticky Roll-Up *** or use the search.
Wrong section as well. You'll know that you can't flash the stock WWE rom without SuperCID/S-OFF, and that your only alternative is to load a custom rom.
May want to alter the title slightly, at any rate.
Cheers,
Josh
Moved to Q&A but closed as well since there are already existing threads for that matter.
I have the One X+ and am having hell trying to get it to work. I installed the incorrect cyanogen 10.1 boot.img and it caused the phone to get stuck at the cyanogen and it erased my backup and everything...
I need the RUU for the One X+ and have no idea where to get it! I am about to lose my mind. The phone is completely wiped, so I need the RUU. Can anyone help?
First of all you are in the wrong forum mate, this is for the international hox .... not the hox+
But you can find hox+ ruu's here

Since this question hasn't been answered, no you won't. S-ON isn't what is keeping the phone from being a GE phone, it's an entirely different device model. You could at that point, however, install custom recoveries and ROMs that are based on 4.4.2.
Correct. He'll get 4.4.2 when VZW pushes it out. But we have numerous 4.4.2 ROMs, including a GE version.
since lot of u have guys dont have s-off
has anyone tried Rumrunner S-Off for HTC One x method
do comment
I think that you should not open so many threads..And this is not some specific question this is something general about that method..If I'm wrong sorry..

well sorry about that u can report it to the mod to move it to the proper section
There is no section for it, there are enough s-off threads ! A bit of xda search would have pointed you right to it.......and no, rumrunner does not work
I'll start. I always read through threads and usually find my answer, thus I can't post in developer threads yet.
Is Mike's ARHD 43.0 compatible with Sprint? I got through 63 pages before giving up.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that unless you found it within the Sprint M8 development section, it isn't compatible. If you have the Sprint variant then it's best if you remain within the Sprint M8 device section.
PS. I've moved your thread to the Q&A section, that's where questions go.

I found this on that thread .. how can you missed it ?

Unless the ROM explicitly states it supports Sprint, it will not be compatible.
You may be able to replace the kernel and mess with some other things, to get it to work on the Sprint M8. But I agree, it won't be compatible without some tinkering.
BTW, the title of this thread makes it sound like its about carrier SIM lock, SIM unlocking, etc.
