Since this question hasn't been answered, no you won't. S-ON isn't what is keeping the phone from being a GE phone, it's an entirely different device model. You could at that point, however, install custom recoveries and ROMs that are based on 4.4.2.
Correct. He'll get 4.4.2 when VZW pushes it out. But we have numerous 4.4.2 ROMs, including a GE version.

Hi,
( sorry for the grammar, from cold norway here )
i just wanted to ask if someone could give me info on what i need to revert ?
i have installed RUU files on hd2 tp and tp2 before, but as i read it's alittle different on the hox.
The phone is completely stock, no mods at all.
I just want to go back to the OS i had before i upgraded to JB, SO basically i just want to install the original ruu from the last version before JB.
If its not too much trouble i would really appriciate it if someone could tell me the Tool (s?) i need,
and the safest way to do it ( dont want to brick it )
i have read on different threads but as far as i can see ( or maybe i misunderstood ) it's about rooting it for custom roms.
thanks
It's not possible to go back to stock ICS via RUU without s-off.
Please ask questions in the Q&A section.

Hi,
I'm trying to install the new Android HD 11.1 on my VZW HTC ONE M8, but wifi isn't working.
There's a post on the development forum relating to repacking the AHD.zip with older verizon kernel modules, but since I've posted less than ten posts elsewhere, I'm not allowed to reply in the thread.
Is anyone else trying to install this ROM on their VZW M8?

Why not pm the dev or any user there who can help you ?
You have to use the new boot.img from the Ota because the one on the rom is the old one and I can say once you do that it should work
And you have to post questions in the Q&A section, that's what it's made for !
Edit :
Fixed....thread = moved

I don't know, I've seen a lot of devs with signatures that state "Don't PM me asking for solutions..." Generally they stick to a simple "If you PM me with a problem then others won't see the solution to it either". So it needs to be discussed in forums... Understandable perhaps, if it's in the forums others could help as well and they won't have thousands of PMs with the same ridiculous questions.

Maybe make a thread in the Verizon Q&A section asking for help? You can then perhaps just give a shout out to the developer in question and maybe he'll head over there to read and help out. @dangerweenie << @ whatever the developers name is.
They don't really want a lot of questions and troubleshooting related problems to be discussed in the developer sections, that's what the Q&A sections are for. Those forums are strictly for discussing developer related issues.
Only for att now but im sure development will blow up now
I can say FINALLY!!!

I'm sure you're very excited, but please post in the appropriate place next time. The development sections are intended for development-related threads, not announcements.

You're not the dev, onlly devs can post THEIR original work in the original development section. Anyway, I'm glad there is a solution for the other variants to now flash recovery.
Please do not post non development related threads in the development section.
Announcements belong in the general section

excuse me, as I read here, they said that D851 are always the unlocked bootloader devices ??
D851 was always unlocked , but Sprint's, Verizon's, AT&T's variants are locked down. If I'm not mistaken, international variant has locked bootloader as well.

I'll start. I always read through threads and usually find my answer, thus I can't post in developer threads yet.
Is Mike's ARHD 43.0 compatible with Sprint? I got through 63 pages before giving up.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that unless you found it within the Sprint M8 development section, it isn't compatible. If you have the Sprint variant then it's best if you remain within the Sprint M8 device section.
PS. I've moved your thread to the Q&A section, that's where questions go.

I found this on that thread .. how can you missed it ?

Unless the ROM explicitly states it supports Sprint, it will not be compatible.
You may be able to replace the kernel and mess with some other things, to get it to work on the Sprint M8. But I agree, it won't be compatible without some tinkering.
BTW, the title of this thread makes it sound like its about carrier SIM lock, SIM unlocking, etc.
Hey guys, does anyone have a guide or a link to a guide on how to return my Verizon HTC10 to stock and S-ON? Need to sell it and buyer wants stock phone. Thanks!
Check the guides, news and discussion section. Have a read in the several topics. It's all there

In general HTC10 section or VZW HTC10 page?
Read your post again, which one would suit your phone the best ?
Edit : this is not meant to be rude or anything, it's just to get people to start to read and think logically and obtain info.
