Hi guys, had a problem. I had installed AOKP Jelly Bean by Rukin and had successfully booted to the main screen. But when I try to access my videos on the SD card its not playing and on the Apps, I can't find a way to play my music. Please help. Thanks!
Did you install a media player?
If you didn't install the gapps package, Google Music is probably missing.
Flash the gapps package (or if you already have the Play Store, install a media player from there) and it should be there.

Since 1.9.5 I have not been able to use google music. I can see the music, but it doesnt cache the music or play. Is anyone else having this issue or have a fix?
Sounds like an issue in the upgrade process. Try reflashing and wiping the caches. Uninstall Google music and reinstall it as well (might want to try that first).
I am having issues installing Mobo Player (moboplayer from clover) in Lithium's amazing Jelly Bean Rom.
I am on version 1.6 of the rom and I have tried installing every codec pack in the play store, website, auto d/l inside mobo player, and even had them email me the apk directly (armv7_neon-release).
Does anyone know the issue here and how to get this running on Lithium's Jelly Bean Rom?
It is in my opinion the best video player for android...
Thanks in advance! Thanks you Lithium and the XDA Team

I had force close problems with Moboplayer similar Chrome. I restored to my AOKP backup then flashed Jandycane without factory reset and it still works.
Others have found that you can get Chrome to work by doing a full wipe/reset, flash hashcode's ROM, reboot, install and setup the app, wipe Dalvik and cache, then flash Jandycane 1.7.1. That might work for Moboplayer too.
Solved
Thanks for you reply.
After installing the codec from the email clover sent me it still did not work. However today the play store updated moboplayer internally. That made it work although when you exit hitting the home button it says moboplayer is not responding. Not a large issue nor is it too annoying as the app itself works.
If anyone has same issue and wants the apk they emailed me, let me know where you want me to upload it and I will do so.
Thanks again for you reply and to the XDA team as a whole for turning my kindle fire into a real android tab!

I installed the lastest version of the CyanogenMod 10 in my HTC device and then, I installed the Gapps. I had a bug with the ICS keyboard and it didnt work before installing gapps.
So I reinstalled the rom and i'm using an alternative apps store.
I also tried to install and use Youtube App and the videos dont play. Either in the web browser...
I tried installing Flash Player and it didnt work.
What can I do to use the Gapps and to watch videos on Youtube in my mobile device?
Thanks a lot^^
I know you cant install apps from the play store without xposed and root (which is impossible now because of the use of an efuse http://paris.utdallas.edu/ssiri08/Tonti_SSIRI_eFuse_V2.pdf)
But can you install the framework needed to use google apps? like Google Play music via adb sideload?
has anyone tried this scenario yet?
I have not tried it yet but according to this post it is possible.
If you have rooted and using the latest firmware then you can still load up google play.
As far as google music, the latest apk even through google play wont work. You have to get one version less.
I have the apk if you need, I can upload it for you. Send me a pm. Try side loading that apk and test it out on your firetv if google play is what you are looking for.

Do you happen to have the version number? I've tried the following four - the two middle versions (^) crashed without loading, and the newest and 5.6 versions (*) loaded fine, but wouldn't let me set up an account:
Google Play Music 5.7.1788Q.1634597 *
Google Play Music 5.7.1783Q.1607940 ^
Google Play Music 5.7.1781Q.1595424 ^
Google Play Music 5.6.1642P.1595276 *
Any help would be fantastic. I'm not rooted, but there does seem to be some promise for side-loading Play Music.
I've been unsuccessful in getting the Google Play Music apk to work, installing it is no problem though,
I have managed to install the Google Play Music script via XBMC (Kodi) though, just push the app via the Fire TV tool, install it, enter your credentials via the configuration option & then run it.
