You have to restore that stuff by redownloading tibu and nova then restoring the stuff you backed up the first time. You may need to change directories in tibu and manually move the nova files to either internal or external SD depending on where the first rom saved em and the new roms searching for them

You have to go to settings in nova and restore and batch in tibu amd restore. It requires user input it doesn't just automatically put all your stuff back until you tell it to

Okay and once in that what do I need to do?

Go to restore missing apps, then deselect all at top, make sure exclude system apps is checked and app only is checked, go down the list and check off the apps you want restored and then click the green check at the top right. After you restore the apps only you can go to the back up and restore tab on the main page and selectively restore data for apps you absolutely have to like games, just dont restore data for any system apps.

Also, make sure you have the correct location for your backups. Mine are non my external sdcard and it doesn't always see them. You have to go into setting and manually tell it.

Hi forum. Lately i have just installed apex launcher on my s3 and I'm loving the launcher. However i wanted to switch back to the stock touchwiz and found that it kept crashing on me. I've tried going to setting ms and clear the data for touchwiz. But to no avail... can anyone help me out? Are there any apk. File for me to reinstall? Much appreciated.

No. I'm still new to android.

Is it giving a force close error, or just does it just re-launch touchwiz?
It doesn't even work. Each time i select touchwiz it will just freeze and shut. It won't launch. Any idea what went wrong

He said he new to android and not rooted.
Phone Settings > Application Manager > All ....
1. Go to Apex Launcher and clear any "default"
2. TouchWiz Home > clear data / cache (this will reset/wipe settings of your hide screens etc and you'll need to set them up again)

If your not rooted and my previous suggestion didn't work,....
Back up data from internal sdcard to PC and Factory Reset.

Non-rooted: just copy any important folders etc from the internal sdcard to PC. You'll need to setup again, so make sure contacts are also backed up etc. a You may also lose allot of app data, and most can't be backed up without root. Ensure you have copy of your APN and wifi settings handy.
Rooted users: Titanium Backup app (backup app and system data) and make a nandroid backup with CWM recovery. And also copy to PC. Before restore any system app or data (red colour) with titanium, just asking for bugs.

i used to use mybackup root, they have an option just to save and restore those, i remember there was a glitch in one of the updates several months back, but i assume that should be fixed now. The glitch was that i couldn't delete the messages i restored. I know weird. lol
I use Titanium for both.

So android.process.acore keeps fc'ing and it won't let me open phone, contacts, or messages. I can't seem to find it in TB and a reboot didn't help it.
I'm running cm7 btw.

Thank you very very very much. It worked. I guess I messed them up when I restored contacts and contacts storage from a cm9 nandroid backup.
Thanks tho, I learned a lesson lol.

Titanium Backup. You'll need root. Just used it the other day to restore my other phone for the first time and it went pretty smooth. Everything was just the way I had it. :good:

You dont have to be rooted to use LG backup that COMES on the phone.
Just do a cwm or twrp backup. It backs up everything for me.

So I have root and used TB to freeze a few apps. Wanted to get a backup and it is not showing any of my apps installed, only system apps. Tried installing busy box and didnt change anything. Any ideas?
Did you check the filter? Maybe you have it set to only show system apps. In in the right corner under backup/restore.
