i used to use mybackup root, they have an option just to save and restore those, i remember there was a glitch in one of the updates several months back, but i assume that should be fixed now. The glitch was that i couldn't delete the messages i restored. I know weird. lol
I use Titanium for both.

I don't know of a way to restore directly from dropbox. I believe it WS designed as a means to store the backups rather than restore from there.

Right. There are some apps on the market you can use to download from drop box to your phone. I've never used them but its worth a shot if you don't have a PC near by.

Ive already downloaded Titanium Backup Pro and uninstalled all the system apps I wont use. Now I want a app to hide duplicate icons? What other apps do you recommend for a rooted phone?
Advice. . Don't uninstall stuff use the freeze option in titanium back up. And you can hide stuff from touch wiz itself. Go to app drawer and hit the menu and click on hide.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. Just let me know what specifically you want to do

look through this thread on the International Note 2 forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967951
doesnt need root but ......."Tasker" is a must!
For multiple devices, I use DataSync
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quintstoffers.DataSync
It allows you to play one game on your tablet (other device) and continue where you left off on your Note 2
Could someone with the ATT Galaxy Note II please upload the stock Samsung keyboard. I use the stock keyboard on the International Note II, but prefer the one from ATT because it has the symbols & letters on the same keys.

Never mind. To copy apps you need access to the system folder which means you would need to root.

you could odin a custom recovery image, boot into recovery and create a nad of your phone and then dropbox it for safe keeping. Flash the original recovery - i think i saw it in the development threat - and check the flash counter to see if you tripped it... if you did then you'll have to follow the instructions in the dev thread on how to reset everything to stock, it'll take a bit of the search function and some reading but should be releatively easy.
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good app for app back up and restore?
I don't want titanium as I'm not rooted, does anyone know if app monster is any good?

Ultimate backup works perfectly never had a problem flashed about 100+ roms
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Had problems with Carbon, drivers are installed on my laptop but phone us not recognised when it's plugged in.
Does ultimate backup allow you back up app user data, such as game saves?
Or are there any apps that will do this?

App Back up and restore
Go backup
+1 Go backup pro the best, but I think you need to be root, at least for all posibilities
Super backup works quite well
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
The only solution is Carbon
My backup pro. Allows you to backup to sdcard as well as to the cloud

does it back up app data without root?
I would suggest go backup pro , backs up everything including contacts , messages, launcher layout , apps and data , supports cloud backup too , and many more features . Check it out

Can't beat go backup
I think any backup app that backs up user data requires ROOT access

I'm running wicked v8 and for some reason gmail will not update thru play store. I tried side loading it as well and it's a no go. I cleared play store cache and deleted old version. Any more suggestions?

If you delete the current one through Titanium Backup, then install it again through the Play Store it should work. That's the standard procedure, and I actually did just that an hour or two ago so I could get the new Gmail 4.3.
