Hey there thegreatergood, thanks so much for picking up this ROM! Great to see development continuing for Liquid Smooth on the Glide. :good:
Is there any hope for fixing the audio bug in Skype and Google Talk? Any tweaks or debugging we can try to help get it fixed?
Re: [DEV][ROM][4.2.1][Unofficial] Liquid Smooth - 1/26/2013
Random thought on the bluetooth HSA issue, it might not be a bluetooth issue, but rather a phone.apk issue.
This is just great, the development is really fast greatergood
Btw then if i want to ride into these JB ride from GB i just need to install the zip from the recovery? Or install the ICS first?

1 thing again, does this rom included your voodoo sound from the litkernel,?

Hey thegreatergood, loving the ROM. Only one question: why is it using the gingerbread music player? or is that the AOSP music player?

this rom is awesome :good: im not changing it to anything else
everything is working great except wifi tethering and other bug: when someone text me back very fast i don't receive any notification (no vibration, no bln, no sound). but rom is great anyway
I'm not sure if this is related to the rom or a hardware issue, but my phone just recently started having trouble detecting headphones. I will plug in an audio cable or headphones and the phone will alternate between the speaker, the headphones and just stopping the music. It does this randomly, and I can't seem to figure out specific conditions for it to occur.
sounds like ur headphone jack has a loose connection ... i've had to replace mine .... bought one off ebay ...

it's weird, because it just worked fine for the past 20 minutes... :/ Oh well, if it comes down to it, I'll have to get it repaired. Just wanted to check here first to make sure I don't do anything unnecessary.

I'm actually using JVC Xtreme Xplosives earbuds, so I don't think it's the headphones. Anyways, haven't experienced the problem for a while now so I guess it solved itself. Damn intermittents... :/

Didn't know there was an update on the android central forum
not sure if it has to do with the music FC but if I try to select a ringtone it will FC , i can't take a screenshot of the FC popup. other wise this rom looks great!
Edit: also, the swipe to dismiss is not working, it will move to the side but either go back or it woll select the thing I'm trying to dismiss
Yeah, why is it now a Sprint optimus? there are actually LESS apps for this now! is there a way to change it back to optimus v or to a sprint phone with more apps?
The pic is what i got when I went to the market on my computer with the same account as my phone, but in the phone settings it does say its the virginmobile one?
i can't set a notification sound. When i goto System Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone > then click android system to select the sound the phone reboots.
Looks sweet I gotta try it

How well does it run (speed and smoothness) compared to CM7.2 from the various sources posted here?
i really enjoyed this ROM. the only issue i had was that my 3G just randomly stopped working about 3 days after the ROM was installed. i tried toggling data, airplane mode, cdma, everything and it wouldn't work, so i flashed back to IHO.
i do miss it though.

from what ive seen, its ****ing FAST! I had it running for 3 days before I realized I didn't even overclock it yet! very smooth also, some bugs but worth it.
best part has to be the keyboard, I can type about 30% faster, it just works better
rom is super fast compared to iho. i can actually text and listen to music at the same time. Only bugs i've noticed is google music doesn't work, can't set a notification/ringtone sound and when you click on the updater another force close. Im giving it a couple more days tell i flash back to iho, hopefully the notification sound will get fixed so i can stick with this rom

If you use an app like zedge, you can set your ringtone and notifications sounds from within the app and it works just fine.
Has anybody been able to figure out how to be able to swipe a notification away without the pull down menu going away? Kinda annoying to have to pull it down again to swipe each notification.
Liking it alot overall though...fast compared to IHO CM7. Any chance some type of updater app can be implemented similar to the Backside Updater found on the CM7 build? that would be a great feature for this awsome ROM. Thanks for all the hard work
Has anyone else had problems with this rom randomly restarting and freezing?
I love this rom, but it keeps restarting. I installed the updated one.

Try it and find out - just saying ... it's the only way you will know.
hey mate I just downloaded and installed this on my nexus... (seen this thread here in the xoom as I have one, but didn't see one on the nexus boards)
seems to work alright... for others here is how you do it for CM9 based roms
1. set fx as my equalizer in Apollo
2. Go back to your awesome beats app in your app drawer
3. Enable the beats boost (while music is playing) then to test set the option below from slight, moderate and extreme.. you will definitely hear a difference in tone from your phone speaker...
4. Then play with the equalizer underneath so you can get the most out of your phone speakers (nexus ones are okay)
5. Do the same for your headphones when they are plugged in... I have the active noise cancelling Beats Studio and this mod does make a difference... I cant try it with my sensation with beats to verify similarities but stoked..
Thanks for this mod and please keep it updated as I and many others will be following this development =]
I plan on perfecting this mod to work with all 3Rd party apps also next release will include beats in notifications

side note: where are the beats libs etc? I have tried other beats mods and the libs make a considerably larger file size than the one you have... just curious is all lol
Dude.. my Galaxy Nexus has a quality sound system now!!! Thanks for this mod!!! My Sennheiser headphones sound like my old Bose ones now, this is awesome!
If only it were able to be applied via an app install instead of a recovery flash, I have to remember to add it to my queue when updating the Rom.
Keep up the awesome work! Can't wait for the mentioned improvements.

I'm having the same issue here. Running CM9 and Beats force closes almost every time I select a new song. The times it doesn't FC it tells me the song can't be played. Also, if I can play a song the next in the playlists won't. It does this in both the Play Music app and Apollo.
I like the idea of this and would really like to see it work. Especially so I can brag to my brother about how I didn't have to pay a fortune for my Beats Audio and he did.
Thanks.

ROM updated to MIUI 2.9.14. Feedback are welcome. :highfive:
sounds great so i'm going to try and report back.
Q1: how come the file size is a lot smaller than the other miui flavours?
Q2: do we need to flash the gapps if needed? or is it built in?
Do we need to install gapps with this? Also what is 30 step volume feature?
Also can anyone who tried this rom tell me if there is lag on this? Thanks.

yep there is still a wait to wake up to lockscreen, but smooth other than than, just like the other miui roms.

The file size is smaller maybe because I didn't include the whole gapps package in it. Anything that can be downloaded from Play Store are not included e.g. Gmail, Youtube, Google Now, etc.
The 30-step volume control gives more fine grain in adjusting you media/music volume. Originally there are 15 steps between mute and max volume, this mod increases the steps to 30.
I don't know how to fix the default lockscreen lag ATM. A workaround is to use the "Simple" lockscreen or any other ones from Themes app.
Ok thank you mate. The volume feature sounds very good because idont like the maximum sound in other miui ports. Its very low. So with this feature sound is ok in your rom i think? Also last question before i flash. Will you add weekly builds in fridays?

yeah xperia is pretty sick, i'm calling this rom nexperia, not just because its xperia on the nexus but over time this rom will evolve into two versions.. the stock xperia look and feel, and the one i'm really excited for is theming this like JB (basically my envision of what xperia 4.1.2 would look like if i were sony) it will stay true to the xperia overall look and feel with just a few UI enhancements
BUT first things first... I gotta iron out all these bugs! and i'm having a really hard time with phone calls... basically the phone is still searching for a sim which we don't have and then it connects to data just fine... but when trying to make a phone call the signal just dies and then FC... if anyone around can help out with that HMU.. it's been a minute since i worked with ics, so i know im missing something!

Nice, same issues of CM10 too? there is more roms everyday. THanks
Just curious why is CRT animation not working an issue. Is it linked to a critical feature apart from the visual appeal? I haven't seen anybody asking for it.

It's expected that all AOSP ROMs will have at best the same keyboard support as is in dman's 10.1 currently. Meaning: Sym, voice search, and .com don't work, but everything else does, except there's an issue with shift/alt and certain apps.
whats the camera issue ?
Guess who's in the wrong thread again.
Can someone reproduce the Google Search crash on this ROM too, for the sake of completeness?
Was the DL link removed for this or am I just blind? lol

the audio issues make it somewhat unusable ...
ill upload a preview build ....
preview build up .... still has a lot of issues...
the greater good, just out of curiosity will there be an AOKP version of version 4.2.1 as well. Do you have plans to develop that or D man is the only one developing the CM 10.1. I am more interested in the version 4.2.1 due to the fact that i am blind and rely more on the accessibility improvements in that version. So i have two captivate glides, i do plan on flashing a rom as long as i know that the physical keyboard is working on any of these roms as far as doing what i need to do. as far as the alt and shift keys goes, has that been mapped and do they work on any of the JB roms.
ill look into it...
Alright DMAN put together AOKP 4.2.1 hammered out most the issues for me the and will give source to continue work on it ... enjoy
