[Q] Phone stuck booting up at Galaxy S III after random shut offs - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

So, I had rooted my phone awhile back, but have not touched root or anything since doing the official Kies Jelly bean upgrade. Phone has been working fine since Getting Jelly Bean.
Two days ago my phone starting just shutting down, the only time it had done this before was while plugged into a car charger.
This time it was the home charger. yesterday It was working with no problems for about 12 hours, then when plugged in it shut down again.
this time it kept randomly shutting down. I started uninstalling apps running to see if one was the problem. It eventually worked for about and hour. Went to sleep, woke up phone was off. It would then turn on and stay on for about a minute. I was finall going to do a factory reset.
I did not get to start the factory reset before it shut down again. It slowly degraded until now it begins to boot, shows the samsung screen, then hangs at the Samsung Galaxy S III screen.
Is there any kind of odin one click back to stock I can do, or do I need to try and get a warranty exchange?
EDIT: Realized I had forgotten about stock recovery, tried to boot into it, and..... now phone won't power at all, I think it's beyond hope.

[VZW] Phone Random Shut Off?

Hello everyone,
I've recently rooted and unlocked my phone in order to partake in some Jelly Bean goodness. I've read and done the nandroid backups/cache wipes/dalvik cache/factory resets, and have flashed my first ROM (Vicious 10-20120808-UNOFFICIAL-toro 4.1.1). The installation went smoothly, and the phone was working great until a weird problem happened.
I was texting on my phone, put it down, came back to it a few minutes later and the screen was completely off, and it would not respond to the power button. In order to get it to work again, I had to remove the battery and place it back in for it to respond normally. Upon doing so it would boot back up normally and I'd be golden, but now I'm noticing it is doing the shutoff again every few hours when its idle.
Any ideas for a fix?
I am having the same problem. Went backdown ICS for now. Have you found a solution. I was using the JRO30 JB build.
Happens sometimes to some ROMS. I have no idea why it happens, but its nothing wrong with the phone itself. I recommend AOKP for awesome battery life, performance, and features

Issues with no sound and boot looping

So i have a weird problem with my note 2. For some reason the phone has no sound whatsoever and when i try to make a call or play sound the phone shuts off or freezes. Also when i turn the screen off after 20 seconds or so the phone will not turn on unless i pull battery and power on.
Started after i pulled the battery last week while phone was on went in to replace the vibrate motor. After i booted touch became super laggy, system kept crashing. And phone kept powering on then shutting off after full boot. Probably a dozen times. Ended up damaging my sd card in the process. I've re flashed a few roms and nothing really helps. When i'm in recovery the phone is fine. I've wiped everything a few times also. Currently on 4.3, I was running sky note F1 update 3. I've tried stock, meanbean and even slimkat 4.4.2 but no success. I swapped my board out into another note 2 to see if parts were defective and still have same issue. I havens flashed a bootloader yet though don't see how that is going to change anything. Anyone have some input or help with this would be great.
Thanks.

Phone Turning off by itself.

So I have this weird issue with my HTC ONE M7 for a few days now. It would turn off by its own when I was using it but I'd just turn it on and it will work again. I thought it may have something to do with a bad app or the rom might be acting up. Anyway I ignored it since turning it on was a minor inconvenience and I needed my phone functional. Today whilst using GPS, the phone suddenly went dead on me. Every time I boot it up, it passes the initial HTC screen but then doesn't boot into android. The screen goes black and the phone turns off by itself. I went it recovery, wiped dalvik and cache thinking it was an app causing a boot issue but that didn't help. The problem continued. I already had a backup so I went ahead and tried restoring it. It worked the first time. But the phone still won't boot. It would turn off automatically. Then I tried reflashing it with the backup. This time the phone would just turn off as soon as the restore process started. I finally got tired of it and decided to reflash with a new rom. The flash went fine. But lo and behold the same issue again. Boot animation and then black screen with the phone completely turned off.
I thought it might be the battery so I plugged it in to my laptop USB. It booted but when i was setting up android, it would just shut down again. Then I connected it to the wall socket thinking the phone will get more juice. This time around I was able to set it up. With the phone connected to the wall socket all was working splendidly. Please note that during all this time the phone was at 100% and there were no drastic falls in the battery levels.
As soon as I disconnect the phone from power, any power intensive operation shuts it down. I have been in recovery mode for 2 hours now and the battery hasn't even dropped by 3%.
So the question is, What the hell is going on? Is it the battery, is it phone's hardware or is it a software issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cuz if it's something that can't be fixed, I have to start thinking about getting a new phone then. THANKS so much for bearing with me! Cheers!!

if you are s-off i would suggest doing an RUU and starting fresh. Its hard to pin point a problem without having the device handy and trying some things. The RUU will let us know if its a software problem or if its going to be hardware related.
Hey thank you so much for replying. I am s-off. But would going back to stock re S-On my phone? And how do I do RUU? Thanks again.

Do not s-on! Just run the ruu eye dottat made
Installed RUU. The problem is still there. The phone can stay on for hours in recovery without a charger but as soon i want too boot into android it shuts down. It only boots up if it's connected to a charger and that too a wall socket not a usb hub cuz it goes some way into the boot process and shuts down half way. I am pulling my hair out here. Dunno if it's the battery or the mother board.

If ruu still has issues. It is motherboard or battery. From the symptoms, it sounds like battery as the phone needs to have some juice to fully boot the phone before being able to run off the charger.

M8 freezes, then shuts off while charging

Hi all. Let me start out by saying that this is the best phone I've ever had, and I've never had any issues with it until last night. I plugged it into my friends car charger which is apparently broken and only works a certain way. When I plugged in my phone, the screen flickered and displayed weird lines and colors. I unplugged it fast and turned it off and on. When it booted back up it went from 20% to 6%.
Now, even when using the original charger, it either freezes and instantly shuts off when plugging it in, (and won't boot up until I unplug it) or it will charge for awhile and then freeze. I was awoken today with it just vibrating non stop, I assume I got a notification and then it just froze. I uplugged it, turned it off and on. And now I'm using it to type this. I just don't understand what is wrong with it.
I'm rooted with the stock Rom still running 4.4.2
S-Off
TWRP recovery (obviously my first instinct was factory reset, but it failed doing a backup, so I didn't continue)

Boots to logo animation, freezes & the speaker makes a harsh hiss for .5 sec then off

Boots to logo animation, freezes & the speaker makes a harsh hiss for .5 sec then off
Hi guys,
I've had no problems with my LG G3 since I got it.
I'm running stock 4.2.2 Kitkat, unlocked, bought from a retail store in Sydney (JB HiFi).
No rooting or anything else done to it.
My battery hasn't had any issues, still easily lasts the whole day.
The issue:
Today I pressed send on an SMS, the system froze for a few seconds, then powered off.
Pressing the power button did not turn it back on, so I pulled and replaced the battery and powered it on.
It starts booting, gets to the LG animation screen, it animation continues for a while, then freezes for a second and makes a loud/harsh hiss from the speaker for .5 sec then powers off.
Every time after it powers off I have to pull and replace the battery before I can power it back up
No water contact etc
What I've tried:
I've pulled the battery and left it out for 1/2 hour, then replaced the battery and powered it on, same issue dureing boot up
I've confirmed my battery is fully charged, and have tried powering it on while on battery
Removed the Micro SD card and tried to boot again, same boot issue
I've tried a factory reset, it starts to do the reset and then the same issue during boot up happens
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Update
So further to my original post:
After I left it off for about 5 hours I powered it back on and was able to complete the factory reset and boot into the Android OS and start using it again, after about 20 mins it froze up again and powered off
I took it to a phone repair shop and they advised they didn't think there was anything wrong with the hardware but was likely a LG OS software issue
Oh, and I should have posted 4.4.2 for the OS, not 4.2.2. Is Kitkat.
I'm wondering if I were to use LG software to update the OS to Android 5 if that might help? Or may make things worse...?
Upgrade didn't complete
So I tried to run the update through the LG software.
Got about 50% through and then the phone powered off again.
Subsequent retries don't even get that far, they get to about 2% and then the phone powers off.
Surely this is a hardware issue?
Ok, well, I've put it in for service...
