I got a hairline crack horizontally through the whole phone plus multiple baby scratches on the screen plus dents in the corners from one drop, how can I brick this thing for a new free one

Guys I found this to be one of the best cases for my s3. Once its on you can't even tell since its clear. Plus it covers all the buttons.

I have the same case and it's great. Decent protection, not bulky, and great grip. My fiance has one too and really likes it. I don't even realize it's there anymore.

Your fiance is smart. Mine went with the iPhone lol I was annoyed.

Any signs of the case yellowing?

I'm in the process of buying a used Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and I'm wondering what are the things I need to be careful about? I remember some things about bad procesors (manufactured around November 2011 IIRC), screen wear and other things..
Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Ask about screen burn. I bought a used one off of eBay. Great shape, except screen burn, but it's dealable.

I'll buy it in person, so I'll certainly check that, thank you.
Hello there
A few days ago I was using the public transport when my Note II fell on the ground. When my girlfriend asked if it was broken, I replied that the Note II was unbreakable. When I picked it up my screen was broken (karma hits player 1 for one million thousand trillion points). I mailed to the store I bought it from and they told me it would cost 250 euro's.
I'm wondering whether this is a normal price for a screen replacement.
Thank you for the replies!
Stores always want to rip you off! I have seen issues about screen on the galaxy s3 which obviously is different but almost the same. The glass can be bought for under $10 online and there are plenty of YouTube videos with instructions on how to do change it yourself. So to answer your question yes I think $250 is wayyyyy too much

If it were me, I'd attempt to fix it myself, after reading up extensively and making sure I had the right tools.
Only you can contemplate whether it's worth it for you, watch some YouTube and make a decision

The alternative is getting it fixed in a local 'foreign' shop here in my city. Not entirely reliable, but I have little to lose.

Did you ask if they were going to change just the front glass or the whole display such as glass+ digitizer+amoled? Because if it's just the glass then it would be a major rip off! It's not that simple to just change the glass since it glued with an adhesive and you'll need to be very careful when removing it.

Well they said they had to replace everything, which probably explains the hefty price tag.

I'd do some research before running to pay. These companies tell us w/e they want in hopes of making more money off customers

First of all. If the screen is scratched or broken but still works it means than the screen is not damaged. Only upper glass over screen is broken and you can buy one from ebay for 20$ and replace yourself by video tutorial on youtube. Anyway if you fail to repar it yourself you can anytime go and replace whole screen for 250 eur. But I think its worth to try to repair upper glass only if screen is still responding after damage.

I have a quick question. Have anyone bought one of these cheap MTK S3 Clones and replaced the motherboard etc with the real motherboard of the S3?
I have a smashed S3, just recovered all photos and such through KIES. Instead of paying a deductible or fixing the lcd/digitizer I was wondering to buy the clone as a shell and just replace internals with the real ATT Samsung S3 parts?
What do you think?
MTK iS9300
MTK 6577
Its probably better just to replace the screen. Those both have super ****ty screens on them. I wouldn't be able to stand the screen, but I guess if you don't really care about it looking good you could.
I can pretty much guarantee you the insides will look nothing alike and therefore not fit at all

Just look at where the sim/sd cards are located.....
Completely different from the S3
Motherboards will be nothing alike.

Thanks.
I have the housing and all parts of the old S3, screen is just broken.
I am concerned about fit and screen. Hmmmm? Am I that bored to play around?

So my brother in law dropped my sgs4 within a week of having it but thankfully the only thing with a small dent is the back cover. I've checked Amazon and T-mobile but can't find a stock back cover replacement. Can someone link me to one?

99.9% sure that's actually plastic painted to look like metal and I don't think it can be replaced.
You will need a replacement body. One for the M919.... which will be hard to get since its new, it is indeed plastic around the edges.
But you will be voiding warranty by opening the phone to put everything in the new housing. Might be better to give sammy a call or tmo at this point and make the troublemaker pay repair.

I just bought a full housing on eBay. Here's the link http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=251272447802&index=6&nav=SEARCH&nid=07242460945. I dropped my phone recently and was able to replace everything but the thin chromed plastic around the screen. The i9500 housing will fit our phones as the dimensions are identical. It's only a few screws to replace the mid section of the phone, and is very easy to do.
