[TIPS] 10 Tips Before Flashing Custom ROM

Hi, everybody!
Because i'm new junior member here, i want to share some tips. If you think this post helpful, just press thanks, ok! :fingers-crossed:
Here are 10 tips before flashing custom rom :
1) Read the rom information and compatibility before downloading, like the base firmware, if your firmware is lower than rom firmware, please upgrade.
2) Recovery can be used for flashing the rom, CWM/Stock. Don't use stock recovery if the rom support only CWM.
3) Kernel used in the rom like kuro kernel and repencis. Is the kernel supports a2sd or init.d and the performance and compatiblity.
4) Features in the rom, like rooted, deodexed, zipalign, a2sd, tweaks, bravia or beats audio engine, 4wayboot, EPM, and the STYLE of the rom.
5) Performance the rom like fast and stable. You can benchmark it with benchmarking tools like AnTuTu Benchmark and feel it yourself.
6) Custom tweaks supported by the rom. If the rom support this, you can manually tweaks the rom, but don't share it WITHOUT PERMISSION by the creator.
7) This is for your phone safety if any malfunction caused after flashed custom rom, BACKING UP your current rom with CWM feature, Nandroid. You can read from this. But, to recovery don't do recovery from CWM Nandroid, because the MD5 sum is'nt same with your new rom. Just follow the step on the link.
8) CWM Recovery must be have. This link to download cwm
9) Wiping data/reset, cache partition, and dalvik-cache is required. Before do this you must follow step 7, because it will remove your apps, and your system data
10) This will be very very very required, the rom ZIP file. Haha! ​

Note: this ROM is jb 4.1 ROM and it needs jelly bean kernel only if you flash it on ICS kernel you might face boot loop..

Download blazing xperia by Mohammed kaleem .zip File
Put into External/Internal SD Card
Go To CMW Recovery/ twrp.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset And Wipe catch
From Advance Menu Do Dalvik Catch
Select Install From SD and Select File And Click YES
And also install other zip files like patch.zip
If you don't do that you may face bootloop
Reboot Your System
Done

Thanks Mohd for this rom. I tried it for a day and here is the initial feedback..
- Auto brightness option is missing. Is there option to add?
- GPS does not see satellites at all. Is the issue with me or common?
- Battery drains little more compared to other ROMs.

I tried cwm recovery on celkon a40 but I did not succeed. I lost my stock recovery also. Please post cwm recovery and stock rom for my celkon a40

you can Install any custom rom...even when your in ics you can install JB rom, vice versa providing with the appropriate kernel on the rom zip...
if you are in ICS and you have flash a rom.zip without kernel you will encounter bootloop sir...so when you flash a rom that is not the same with the version of your current rom you must install first the proper kernel...

This final rom is one which I am runing daily, I have removed some boatwares but not all, removed only some which iritating me. So if you need some apks which is missing, just download from here -> https://github.com/munjeni/D5503_14.4.A.0.108/tree/master/system and add to the zip byself! This rom have some optimisations and fixes, dual recovery, cwm munjeni and twrp, to enter cwm hold volume down when blue light start blinking, or hold volume up for twrp when blu start blinking. I recomend linheart+row and my favorite theme aka black theme munjeni which is included only in final rom aka this one. This rom contain kernel from 157 with kernel modules and firmwares from 157... etc, in short my favorite rom dumped directly from my phone using romgen tool, so its tested and definitely stable, just install it right and carefully and enjoy!

For best experience I have compiled Lionheart cpu governor, you can use them in combination with row iosched to get very smooth ui and very good baterery life for daily usage! I have runing rom 13 hours + 1 hour with phone usage and have almost 88 percent batery power remain
4k is not working and allso I not going to get them working!(I have removed 4k from camera widget). I sugest you to not use any external camera mod since our one is totaly stock based and I have not replaced anything related to stock camera, every camera part is carefully patched, so if you want any camera mod than do not go here to report something which probably will not work after your replace or you get battery drain fast after replace! Allso if you have installed something which not comming from our rom than allso please do not report anything! Everything is tested and everything working very good!
If somebody have problems installing rom (error 7 during installation):
- Remove first 2 lines (ASERT) from updater-script than try again

You can see notification trought Sony PC Companion software about 108 update, inside notification window you can see changelog about new update (just open SPCC before you install latest rom)!

Maybe silly question but anyway, twrp recovery is ok right? Or flash through cwm only?

Yes, simple open rom zip and replace framework-res.apk with this one https://raw.githubusercontent.com/m...f725b2b6f0/system/framework/framework-res.apk than reflash rom without wiping anything

i installed last night
i haven't noticed any bugs yet *
you can install in the classic manner
-put rom and gapps on sd
-boot recovery
-flash NEW recovery

-wipe
-flash rom

*xposed fails but at least i don't have to worry about roaming R ...recovery shows incorrect battery levels but working correctly in the rom *all 3 bad ported recoveries for this phone shows 50% battery all the time * this recovery is better than the other one from stupdroid i posted . This is not my work . It is the work of darklord ..for sources and donations and further info plus download links go to the russian lenovo website .

The size of LineageOS zip is 335 mb. is this a whole rom or what
stock rom size is about 3GB. why so much difference

yeah man don't worry ...it's the whole rom ...who knows what goes into stock ...one of the main advantage s of custom rom is dropping all the extra weight :good:
lg stock on my g3 was 1GB and aosp stock in the 350mb etc etc :victory:
you can always put all that 3GB back if you don't like running light :cyclops:

About this build.
Working fine and for daily use.
Dual sim, wifi, radio, bluetooth and bla bla working fine.
No voice over lte support.

yes , i have never been able to implement mtk engineering mode or apk in a lineage rom though..you lose out on that and stock camera generally ..

Camera quality is bad or something else with lineage camera app !
