that's more suitable to repack kernel friend
the only thing needed to get kernel from rom is the boot.img
if he doesn't believe then let him prove himself

So when we compile a kernel, we only need that boot.img and then compress them into .zips?

Well, I'm quite busy with school and just have time to check the forums if anything is new and install stuff on my phone, plus I'm a news poster on se-nse.com, I really don't have time left for learning how to code on Android, sorry, and I'm quite happy with Arc's cam as it is - imo it's already the best camera phone

A kernel built from source will resolve alot of the issues it has currently. It should help with battery life as well as overall experience running JB.

From what i've see in past leaks and things.. Having a source kernel to build from does correct alot of things. The one we've been using is one Sbirssen (Excuse the spelling) had built from scratch. So overall will be a huge improvement.

Maybe that's why there's still so many issues in cm9/10 for our device? Dunno. I'd be happy to test whatever you have prepared though. I know myself and others really appreciate any work done for our device this late in its life. I've tried about every rom developed for this phone as of yet, and always ready to try another.

i got a failed, aswell There was already a guy building a rom with having the phone and his thread got locked cause abusing the xda memebers and making them guinea pig, its best to do a closed beta before actually posting so yours dont get locked...

I have 2 reasons why it might of failed and I seen that this zip had ./sense 5 theme apps/ then the meta inf and system folder... I'm not asking everyone to try just one...or two and it fails to flash and if it fails you can reboot with no problem

you are mounting using busybox. As there is no custom roms yet, most people do not have busybox installed. Most likely why its failing.

I install busybox it's one of the first things I do, in all roms I flashed, or most roms use out dated busybox..

This Rom produced by Jmz is as stable as it gets, currently. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173069 , As for OC, flash this kernel - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182351 , Again another fine Jmz product.
As for an "optimized sense Rom" that's like asking for a low fat supreme pizza. Just eat the pizza and smile.

Lol im guessing you never heard of "Califorina Pizza" they have low fat pizza and array of other thins like a veggie pizza..
please get the phone before you start pumping out things you do not know will work, for all you know you could mess up something bad on the device. OR atleast test it with someone instead of releasing it to the puplic with no known information that it will work or not.

no difference for me. the rom is smooth even without it so is hard to see it
