Translation: 点心, when put together, in chinese means a small snack, something sweet usually, like the OS of Android (Eclair, froyo, Gingerbread). but in this case, we 点 and 心 are separated, it means literally "aimed for the heart". no, these developers aren't trying to kill you or anything
the meaning for "点心" in this ROM means that the ROM is aimed for YOU, how YOU want it to work. the purpose of the ROM is for YOU, the user to be happy.

Slightly interested, reminds me of a skinned Galaxy S TouchWiz UI in ways. Off hand though, since i wont be able to download the rom quite yet, what are the differences between this and MIUI?

This is a Port based Off Romann Bulletproof Rom, I am simply posting it so it can be worked on, or laid to rest....
Anyone can do what they will with this Rom, I do not plan on working on it, nor start working on it again.... Plain & simple I forgot about it until I saw the Sense thread...

Tried multiple ways to flash both files...do get a progress bar now. But screen just goes black...phone unresponsive.

So this is a port of the Sensation ROM? I definitely didn't expect to see something like this, whether it works or not... lol.
Any particular reason you decided to post this? Not in a bad way, I'm just surprised to see a Sense ROM brought over (non functional) with no intention for it to be worked on... lol. And I imagine that people are probably hooked on ICS right now, although I do kinda miss Sense... lol.

I'm currently looking for people to help with this Project...

[KERNEL] elgin kernel-a1 3.0.39 <-- for SENSE (True wifi fix for VI included)

Ok, folk here it is. I have given a taste of this kernel a day ago so lets get the ball rolling. A functional 3.0.x kernel for the glacier. This is a SENSE only release so be patient. This is based off the virtuous team's sources ported over to the glacier. This is not all my work but I was the one who added the glacier into this.

That's the only one currently booting. The Sense 4 ROMs have to be modified to work with the kernel. Remember, they were customized to work with a much older kernel.

Well put, i ported a saga leaked rom to test it with. Because i knew it was untouched, Then i moved onto VI

links updated with headset detection fixed. im playing dance gavin dance through it right now

i was just about to go back an say its not 100% fixed yet, it works when you plug it in but it wont release it

Galaxy s jelly bomb v12.0 So can this rom be ported I had been trying for a while and I think I almost had it out would just stay in boot animation and that is it.

It's still a jb Rom but with all applications that have been modified... Changed and all....

You probably already know this but just read the log cat as its running and use adb to push libs until it boots. If its cm or aosp based it shouldn't be too hard.

Status 7 means you have a bad updater script and the rom will not install!

For me i had some

trying to set permissions on files that was not in the port.

Yep usually its something in xbin that is missing. Compare your permissions in the script to the files in xbin and you should find the problem.

Did you check to make sure that all the files the updater script is symlinking and setting permissions on are actually present in bin and xbin? (And occasionally a few other spots)

Android 4.4

I'm sure most of you have heard by now that kitkat has been released and it comes with support for older devices, such as the One V. I really wanted to talk about what we are all thinking: Will we get Android 4.4? I'm by no means a developer, im just curious as to how the community would go about bringing kitkat and would it actually be a possibility.
P.S. I do know that HTC wouldn't bother trying to push the update to us so that's pretty much off the table

I hope so. I've for a hov sitting in a drawer still perfectly good. Would be nice to have something to play with while I wait for development on the n5 to get started.

mostly no, ppl may compile but i have never been able to make a bootable 4.3 kernel ,so 4.4 out of question unless some one helps me compile a booting kernel, i dont think so

Because he's talking about GSM. And the CDMA people are mostly active in their separate developer forum not a lot of them seem to come into general so if we talk about something being possible or not at this moment it's almost certainly about GSM.

even with a working kernel..4.1 and 4.2 run poorly on this device..hell so does out of the box 4.0 sense for that matter..and people are clamoring for 4.4?? a lot of reasons why i wouldnt even bother installing it even if it were available.

For what it's worth, Google claims 4.4 is optimized to run well on devices with 0.5 GB of RAM, unlike versions 4.0-4.3 which all but required 1 GB of RAM.
I'm not saying it's possible or that it would make the phone any more responsive, but it might be a more logical development target than 4.1, 4.2, or 4.3.

I don't even over clock I do 1024 MHz with Lionheart governor ..I use greenify for all my apps too. No mods though just zram
