I am trying this weekend... the only thing Im concerned with is I hacked the wi-fi hotspot and I'm not sure if it will still work for free after root... if anyone knows I would be very happy

There are several options to tether wirelessly for free. Wifi tether, barnacle, pdanet for example.

Did your Inc2 come with 2.3.4? I had to send mine back and I'm waiting for my new one. I dunno which version I will get because I deff want to root it again.

no worries, there is a workaround to downgrade to hboot .97 then you can get s-off and root.
I just got a replacement. My usb port broke and the new one came with hboot .98 again... I have been trying the steps in the link above but I can't find the fastboot they list.

Hello forum members! I have develop/ported roms for a number of devices. I'm the (semi) proud owner of the new HTC ONE X international.
I have a working build of romans AOKP for the onex. But I don't want to release it until I debug a few items.
I could use a few Guinea pig's as well as a device expert or 2.. the few issues likely are shared with other roms such as CM9.
Anyone want to join me on this? I'm in a cab (using my HTC with aokp) ill provide more detail in another reply shortly.

Hi guys, and Korean-version-friends!
I've brought my F180K to Germany and here it is not connecting to UMTS services with my German vodafone SIM. (USIM required say the Software, however as I have a fully working HSUPA with my SIM on other devices, this must be a USIM ... )
Making/recieving calls no problem. Tried to modify apn (I'm with vodafone.de). No help.
Any Idea?

although there have been [unsuccessful] attempts at a soft[ware]-unlock, the only known way(s) to unlock or s-off [gsm] one v is through a hardware solution. lg(e) tool or riff box both offer methods.
HTC won't give us S-OFF ever so forget about it. They won't even change CID if you pay em, this been asked already why not search before posting?

SuperCID and S-off can be obtained through various jtag methods: known lg(e) tool, riff box & medusa for gsm variant.

1. I had to buy a sunshine one event licence to unlock the bootloader.
Verizon wont allow this device tobe unlocked at htc dev!
2. I used Windroid universal tool kit to flash recovery and root.

I actually found a way to unlock the bootloader without paying. Still need sunshine for temproot unless another method was found. I'll do a write up if/when a 612 thread is made. I'm not using the phone anymore...but still have one to play with.

u should just write it coz i personally dont think a thread will be made unless atleat a couple of devs who have the phone start making roms. the mods aint gona open a thread if theres no development.

I agree I think this phone is eventually going to be washed out with the tide and forgotten about too many people steer away from verizonfor one thing I don't know I could be wrong. Verizon did get rid of their contracts but they jacked the prices of their phones. I saw this phone over at Verizon and this phone went from 150 close to 200 in there store.

I have about 3 HTC 612 devices. One rooted and unlocked. With sunshine however it's soft bricked and two stock. I would like to know which method you used. I don't really have the extra 25 around to do sunshine again.

Where can I get Desire 612 stock Rom?
I deleted some system files and all I get is 'set up wizard has stopped'

id like to start a thread for the desire 612 i have a custom rom ive been brewing i think ill call it FoxMod Stock debloated and Updated right now its int he form of a backup but id like to get it into a flashable zip for twrp if anyone could walk me through it C:
