It seems you wanna root your phone so that able to remove all bloatware but wanna keep as stock as possible.
You could go visit dr.ketan thread and there has the rooting method you are looking for. After your phone being rooted, you can install titanium backup( free version from google play) and remove all the bloatware. After that, unroot your phone by follow dr.ketan guide. Done.
No, with custom kernal you wont able to get ota or kies update.
Good luck mate.

How To Unroot LTE Note II?

Hi guys
I've just purchased this phone so have just come over from the EVO 3D section. I've actually had 5 HTC handsets in a row before this (stretching back to the WinMo days) and tbh I'm finding some things confusing since I was so used to HTC.
Basically, because of those idiots at Sky, who made it so the SkyGO app won't work unless you are unrooted, I'm considering removing root from my phone in order to use the app. I've tried looking but I'm getting confused because of all the different variants of this handset. So I was wondering if someone can tell me how to go about rooting a N7105 model which was purchased in the UK, and where the find the necessary stock firmware?
Thank you in advanced
Just find a stock firmware for your device and flash it via odin.. and it will unroot.. make sure to follow the instructions in flashing a new rom

You can find it here.. http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/... just type you device model in the search box.. then look for the firmware you want
ex. ( GT-N7105United Kingdom (EE)2012 SeptemberAndroid 4.1.1 N7105XXALIJ ) if this is what you want download the pda data and flash it using odin..
I guess you know how to do this part right?? If no I can still give you a hand ..

I have an LTE version though, so I'm not sure your link will work with the N7105 version.

Good to root?

Hello I'm planning on getting a note 2 today. Is it good to root? I was reading that you don't get OTA update or idk what else. But I like rooting so what do u guys think?

You need to ask yourself why do you want to root? What are you going to if your device is rooted? Because from your post it doesn't sound like you know what you gain from rooting, and if you can't do the things you need to without rooting, then by all means root. But if you're going to root just to root without reason then don't root.
I like rooting I like ROMs I like hot spot I like testing ROMs I like everything with root so I guess getting a ota isn't going to be a problem since with a ROM I get the latest like 4.2?

Ota? You don't even need it cause there are many roms with newest update and kernel in our note 2 community so root is always the best

Just bought it !!! help rooting? Will I be able to unroot for insurance?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
As of today, you can easily unroot using the toolkit or thru odin. No big deal. Future updates, who knows... but I'm sure the devs on this forums will come up with something. They always do.
I rooted and unrooted quite easily.

well if you use root just for apps only then mrrobinson's rom is good choice but if you use root to flash rom or zip file in recovery then just root normally...you also dont have to worry about losing insurance because there is the thread that helps you with unroot enjoy bro

[Q] Accidentaly deleted all stock apps

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but when I installed a ROM on my Note 2, I lost my Titanium backup files and doing so I also lost all of the Samsung stock apps from my phone (as they weren't included with the ROM). Is there anywhere I can download these? I just recently switched to Android from iOS so I'm still adjusting. The only app I really need from the stock apps, was S Note, if anyone knows where I can find the APK.
Stock application and not included in rom?
I didn't get it
Anyway you can Reflash rom to restore stock application

Liquidsmooth is not a samsung based rom so there is no samsung apps. You need to flash a samsung based rom if you want to use samsung stock apps.

Organized by device and carrier. But the latest official rom has a very unfriendly bootloader and security system. Think twice amigo.
