I recently installed cm10 and since then every time I make a call it starts on speakerphone. I dont see any settings to change this and no help online as of yet. Anyone know of a solution to fix this? When I make a call it starts on speakerphone and when I click the speakerphone button it remains on speakerphone but turns the volume down 50% when I click the speakerphone button a second time it turns off and resumes normal in call. Its a bit of a privacy issue because sometimes I forget it starts on speakerphone, any help is appreciated.

Hi,
I have the following issue with the speakerphone of the HTC Desire: I press "Call" and immediately I press the speakerphone button. I am waiting to hear the other phone ringing in my speaker, but this is not happening, it only vibrate when the connection is established. What can I do to hear the rings of the other phone in 'speakerphone mode'?
Also, can I make the phone spell the caller's name?
At least, can anyone confirm if this a normal behavior of the HTC Desire?
When i get or make a phonecall my speaker turn automatically on.
Even on the lowest volume it's still loud.
I also have to turn off the volume myself.
Is there any solution to this.
I don't know if anybody else is experiencing this but almost every time I am on a call and switch to speakerphone the person I am talking to complains that they echo. This has happened literally every time. Even when I turn the speakerphone volume all the way down they still echo. It's to the point where I can't use the speakerphone anymore for calls. I am fully stock no root and haven't tried to root. The issue happens even after restarts. Is anybody else having this issue? Does anybody know a fix to it?
Yeah happens to me aswell soon as I put it on speaker is hear everything around me echoing.
Is it always echoing or just when you call some people. If the latter, have you asked them to turn down their volume? Have you tried the call without a protective case on your phone?

I haven't asked to turn down their volume...I'll try that next and I don't have a case on my phone so that rules that out...I'll update next time I'm on the phone with someone...thanks
Does anyone hear a sound pop coming from the speakers for half a second before making a phone call - happens right before the call screen comes onto the phone.
Try calling a contact and listen for a little pop sound right when you click the contact to call. If you don't hear it the first time, try again. Let me know if you guys have this little sound.
Put your phone on vibrate before clicking someone to call.
(THIS IS NOT DURING THE CALL, RIGHT BEFORE THE CALL HAPPENS - FROM THE TIME YOU CLICK THE CALL BUTTON ON THE CONTACT TO WHEN THE PHONES DIALER POPS UP TO CALL).
Make sure the phone is close to your ears as it's harder to hear further away

Just turn off tone of your numpad when dialing in audio settings and problem solved. Tell me if this helped.
Hi there.
Any time i start or receive a call in call volume is automatically set to 50% and I need to increase manually.
This is very annoying, overall using an headset.
Anyone solved this issue?
Thanks!
PS: performing sound adapt seems to fix calls with earpiece, nothing to with headset...
