Recommended shortcuts in notification tray - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

How do I get rid of it? It showed up for the first time this morning after I got the ota update.

Settings > Display > Page buddy > uncheck the Earphones page item, or turn off page buddy altogether

Thanks! That worked perfectly

MMS messages not being received

I've got the takju version I believe (GSM version bought from US Play Store) running on T-Mobile and I've sent a couple pictures to my girlfriend but she says she never got them. She's running a galaxy s ii also on T-Mobile, fully stock but updated to ICS. My GN is running Android Revolution HD, which is basically improved stock, with the Franco milestone 5 kernel.
Data works perfectly fine on my GN, I can get up to 4300kbps pretty easily when on "4G." SMS messaging also works fine, and I've gotten pictures from her. APN setting is "epc.tmobile.com" Wi-Fi was on however when I was attempting to send them, and the messaging app says that they've been sent and read, according to the delivery and read report.
Not sure if it's my phone or hers, but I'd appreciate any feedback.

I had a similar problem which I fixed by going into the APN settings, hitting the menu key and selecting "reset to default"...

[Q] Device management pop up new update?

I was just using my ATT S3 on Straight Talk listening to music and happened to look at my motivation bar and saw device management running. I tried to open the notification but couldn't and then it disappeared from the tray. I have no idea how long it was running or what was going on. Did I just receive a update from Samsung or ATT?
This is the international s3 forum. Please use the /!\ button to report it and request its moved to the att variant forum

I didn't notice that at all, thanks I'll have it moved

Got net T-Mobile Note 3, already modified?

Hi,
So I got my new Galaxy Note 3 from T-Mobile yesterday, and I was just playing with it and stumbled on to 'software upgrade' section and just gave a shot even though I know there is no update out yet. But it said 'Your device has been modified, not available for software upgrade'. It is very odd because I literally didn't do any modification (i.e. rooting or flashing). All I did was change some background picture and add some SNS accounts. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Thanks!
Call tmoble and say 'WTF!'

Ok haha so It turns out that the problem was sd card. Apparently if you have sd card in the note 3 it thinks the device status is "costum". But when I took sd card out and rebooted, the status went back to official and when I tested software update it just said my device is up to date. So just FYI, if anyone is experiencing same issue.
Mine says that the device is up to date.
thanks for the info, i was about to call tmobile to say WTF !, this is my 2nd Note 3, 1st one after i installing my story album (what ever its called ) my note 3 UI started to crash all the time, even after a factory reset, so i took it down to tmobile and they replaced me with a new one.:cyclops:

Anyone else have a Gear 2 pairded with their note 4? ATT vers

Just wondering if anyone is having issues this morning.
Yes, but only issue is in going to settings
Hey. ..I have the AT&T Note 4 paired with the Galaxy Gear 2 and so far, everything seems OK except when I click on settings in the Gear Manager. When I do that, the app force closes.
I am getting the same thing. Force close when clicking on settings.
How odd, you would think Galaxy and Gear should go perfect together... my moto 360 paired right up, but it uses motorola's connect app instead of gear manager
I uninstalled and re-installed the app today. All is working well now.

Volte

Just picked up this phone today and after both OTA went ahead and set it up. I noticed i'm dropping to regular 4g (non-lte) during calls and don't have HD voice. Did they really roll this phone out without volte enabled? I can't find it anywhere in settings!
Automatically on by default. If it isn't working for you, your location may be unsupported.

Nope. Wrong answer man. My S7e works in same location and has for months. It's broken on this phone. In the meantime I found threads on it on tmobiles forums as well.

Haha...jynxed. So based on your feedback and the fact mine is new i factory reset it. Now have it working. When I took the two ota out of the box today I didn't have my Sim in the phone. Seems that didn't play nice for provisioning as it prevented the ims registration later.

I too set up my phone without a SIM card, as I was waiting for a case to arrive.
Put the SIM in yesterday and phone would not make calls over LTE. Every time I started dialing a number the LTE symbol would change to 4G. I took it to the local T-Mobile store where they first replaced the SIM (which didn't work) and finally did a factory reset which did enable VOLTE.
Here is a solution
''I posted on here a week or so ago curious that I wasn't able to stay on LTE while making a call (receiving a call I could, though), and asked others if they were experiencing the same thing. I noticed a couple phones in the T-Mobile store were also experiencing the same issue, and a replacement of my SIM card and phone didn't fix the issue.
After scouring the Internet, I came across some steps for getting into the "Enhanced LTE Services" option to see if it was enabled, seeing as how the carriers seem to have removed it from the normal "Mobile Networks" menu as on the Pixel.
Lo and behold, it turns out this setting was disabled. Not sure how that could have happened, since it's not (easily) configurable and other devices (G6, Pixel, OP3T, IP7+) all worked fine with VoLTE and HD Voice. I figured I'd share my knowledge so other people experiencing the same issue can hopefully have this solved.
Download Nova Launcher, or any other launcher that allows you to create a 1x1 widget of an "Activity"
Tap/hold to create a widget, and add a 1x1 Activity Widget anywhere on your home screen.
When the menu pops up with the options to pick from, scroll down to the 3rd phone expandable, with 129 options.
Expand it, and look for "Enhanced LTE Services"
You now have a 1x1 home screen "app" that brings you directly into a hidden menu containing the option
Note: HD Voice is another option that can be added for an HD Voice menu, with a couple settings (note than enabling the "Use when LTE available" option will seemingly disable the Enhanced LTE Services option).
Was super frustrating with all the things I tried, and it ended up being a 3 minute fix to switch a setting on, so I hope this can help someone else who is equally (or more!) frustrated than I was with this.''

Yeah my old trick of getting to menu where the volte flag needed flipped didn't work so that's a good find right there.

Thanks for this information, and hopefully it will help others. :good:
I wish that you would have posted this before I spent 3+ hours restoring my phone settings, as the Samsung backup app the T-Mobile store used was terrible.
