It's usually nice to read all the posts in forum at the beginning. But, here you have:
First: ANNOUNCEMENT: "Best ROM" Threads Prohibited: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963635
Second: read all threads about roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1713257

Hi folks!
I need some help to choose my new recovery.
ATM i have the an S-OFF desire with Clockworkmod 2.5.1.2, that lead me to the USB brick (and a lot of swear) pretty often when i do a nandroid backup.
Now i see there are a lot of new recovery, with a lot of feature and so on.
What I will choose? I see RMD, new version of AmonRA, CWM, 4EXT etc.
I can flash it with Android Flasher?
Terepin!!!

Old.
I have searched on the forum but i dont see any recent answe to this question
RMD, has built-in USB brick fix.
You have searched the forum?? Yet you post in the wrong area?
Your asking a question, yet not in the QUESTION AND ANSWER?
And there is so much info on recoveries! I'd say seach again

It does help if you actually search for what you're looking for. Luck for you there are plenty of spoon feeders here.

OP didn't specify bootloader status and the bootloader would have to be unlocked to flash a custom kernel doesn't it? Great link if he has unlocked bootloader

Nope, you didn't. You're not the first to say they've searched for something when they clearly haven't and you certainly wont be the last. I came here to learn, not be spoon fed and rehashed old information that I could have found myself by searching. This post of mine from yesterday sums up this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32137512&postcount=152
Hi there,
I read several threads about installation of CM10, unofficial ROMS, and partitioning memory but didnt find any good guide which contains it all at once enabling a simple, smooth installation of JB on Wildfire. Can somebody send a link of such a page if it exists, or simply write a complete guide
Thanks a lot
Christian
You can't find any good guides to install a good working CM10 build, because there aren't any.
The one we currently have is definitely not a daily driver, but the devs are working on fixing that.

well, I think he meant if there was a good guide to install CM9, then...
I suggest to look into some of the ICS threads in the dev section. I believe the most frequented is a good start: [ROM][KANG][IMM76L][v09.20] Non-official CyanogenMod 9 - xda-developers

no, of course not all... I'd suggest to read the first post (obviously) because of the instructions. If you have questions then you could use the search box to search directly inside the thread and if that doesn't help or you have questions you can ask there.
If you don't have any questions it's a good idea anyway to read a few of the latest posts to get an idea if there might be problems or things to be careful with/aware of.

Thanks Pator and eventcom. I spent an hour on the first post and think I will manage it.
All but one question are answered there: I understood that If I've flashed bravo-recovery and backup then I have to flash bravo-boot after this and reboot. But what if I apply a new ROM? Is it bravo-recovery -> new rom -> gapps -> bravo-boot -> reboot or should I apply gapps after bravo-boot?
Thanks again!!!

if you already have set up custom mtd partitions you need to flash only the bravo-boot file again if you apply a new ROM. My order would be: Nandroid backup -> format system -> wipe cache -> wipe dalvik-cache -> flash new ROM -> flash gapps -> flash bravo-boot file -> reboot
One exception: some ROMs suggest wipe data also. In this case I'd do a "format data" after system wipe/format, too plus also a "complete wipe/factory reset" after wiping caches - it's a bit redundant - just to make sure everything goes right.
BTW: it would be great if you could change this threads title into something like e.g. "Is there a Jelly Bean installation guide" as it's a bit misleading for others

yeah you should check on the threads of custom roms and the opinions of the testers do a little research friend
Two mistakes my friend:
Your thread is in a guides section, not in q&a.
Also, there's a purpose for that search button, use it. Or use web view. You can find all roms with one click there.

Yeah. You too bro. Good luck on your journey (again).
Mod Edit
Best ROMS/kernels are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.

would you mind to check the rom request thread on questions and answers secion, you might be interested in making that rom, because i belevieve that that kind of rom would be the most successful one out there for wfs.
