Hi all,
Anyone have any software recommendations for a VPN client for HTC Artemis. Using Cisco VPN backend server but not sure if Cisco do a PocketPC version??
Any help?
Thanks
I tried bluefire for a while. Worked nice with our Cisco VPN 3005 concentrator.
You can download a 30 days trial on http://www.bluefiresecurity.com/.
TJL
the only available free vpn-client is www.securew2.org - runs great!
i cant get it to wotk on my orbit? any ideas?
not quite the same...
but a tool im finding very useful at the moment.
SOTI Pocket Controller Professional.
great for work that I can control my phone and look busy. when im actually texting away on my phone with my keyboard etc. fantastic tool. and now today I cracked my screen so I need to buy another one. £40 on ebay unless anyone knows anywhere cheaper?
My mate uses this tool too but he didnt pay for it as he got a serial from the net the illegal bugger. Its a good ap though and worth checking out some of the other aps they got. comes with free trial if your curious. has many other features too like a dos prompt to the phone and stuff.
but for now I can plug my phone on and it autosyncs and I can connect and use it. just hope battery doesnt fail or Ill be prompted for password before it will active sync (I think)... or maybe as noone could actually use my screen. I think its safe to remove all password security as a safety measure.
If anybody could help me with this in anyway at all please.
I was just wondering if anybody knew if there was a way of using Zune pass subscription service on the DHD?
Whether it be creating offline files to listen to on your mobile on the go like spotify, or software downloaded to the phone.
This would be a great help for me as I want to subscribe to this service.
Zune is a windows only service, you only get it on zune devices and windows phones
Thank you for the help.
As a new DVP WP7 owner im seeking exciting apps that I would actually use. I have Dish network and noticed that they have an App for Iphone and Android platforms that allow you to have remote access to your Dish receiver and watch TV on your mobile device.
I emailed them about this App coming to the WP7 platform, I have yet to hear back from them. But if anyone else is interested in this App I would advise emailing Dish to what the progress is.
But in the mean time I will update this thread with new information I gather from Dish on this app they have to offer for other platforms.
Great news!
You are now able to view TV, watch your recorded shows, and manage your DVR from your iPhone or iPad or any smart phone. The app is a free download in the app store and all you need is an internet connection and a sling adapter connected to your DISH Network DVR receiver. Being an employee I have been very excited for this, if I forget to set a timer for a show I can make sure to do it on my iPhone. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes the app is called DISH Remote Access, it is available on the Windows phone.
no its is not i cannot find it anywhere on windows phone marketplace what do we search for exact name. i tried JUST DISH, i tried DISH REMOTE. on thing that shows up close to it is the SLING app but that cost 29.99. i have android and wife has windows phone 7. one on android works great, but cannot find the app on the windows marketplace any ideas???
I'm interested in this app as well. I had emailed Dish back in November and received the below reply basically stating they don't know. Its pretty disappointing that Directv had a WP7 app ready at launch, but Dish doesn't even seem to be moving.

Right I just switched from DTV over Dish. This would be a very useful app and hope its in the future of Dish because I would actually use it. It would also be nice if I could pay my bill through the app or add/delete services. An app could be much easier that surfing their full website
The app is not available on the Windows 7 phone just yet, for any other smart phone the app is called DISH Remote Access.
Just get a slingbox and use the Slingplayer Mobile Windows Phone App.
Then you are not tied to dish....

Uhh...no. The Slingplayer app is THIRTY BUCKS! I'd rather wait for an official free Dish Network app than spend money to buy a Slingbox AND the app.
That is correct the Sling app is 30$, but the DISH Network app is completely free. If you have DISH and a sling adapter then you can install the DISH Remote Access app in the iTunes store or the Android marketplace.

Today I bought the local register device, and turns out there is no app for it on the appstore for the fire phone. This pisses me off royally, to know their own phone doesn't support their own payment app.
My question is simple. Can somebody provide the URL to the download for the APK?
I will side-load the app and report back with results (if it works, or not).
It's a shame I paid almost $700 for the phone and I can't make a $10 product from the same company work without the app.
this?
Thanks.
ya that's it, but also I'm looking for the URL on amazon's server, or google.
Surely it's not hard to sniff for the URL when you 'buy' the app.
There are too many rogue packages out there sadly...
You can just do it on your own: http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
Hi folks not sure if this has been discussed or where I should put this, long story short I am trying to use the Nickalodeon apk on
my Amazon Fire TV as we canceled it from Comcast, but they have not notified Nick so via my phone or online we can still access it.
However, when I installed the apk on the Fire TV and go through the approval process via my phone, Comcast/Xfinity does not show
up as a provider since I guess, they know we are installing it on an Amazon device. So has anyone discuss this for other apps
where Comcast will not allow you to verify your account and is there any work around?
Thanks
Mike
