Hello, I bought a connection cable on Amazon (to connect a USB drive).
I am on Alliance Rom xxlsj with latest Dorimanx Kernel. Must a harddrive have an external power search? I connect a drive, but nothing happens. By the way, in es file explorer is no directory like USB-drive - so was it in ics
Is there anyone how knows that Rom / Kernel combination?
Thanks

Hi, for some reason my when I connect my Nexus to my PC it doesn't show the full filesystem, I thought it was a problem with my linux PC, so I connected my Nexus to my Windows PC and it still only shows these 3 folders.
This was also happening when I was running ICS though.

Ok so titanium kiss has the feature to host usb. but how to enable it, i searched the net and found a software called usb host controller.
as instructed i installed busybox and tried to host a Toshiba 8 gb pendrive using otg cable. It is shows S3c driver is not installed, usb host is active though but in file manager there is no sign of usb. please help......!
Anyone know how to get USB Host to work on the SGH-i257m or any of it's redesignes?
You have to search for:
- a custom Kernel for your firmware version that is supporting USB-OTG
- a USB-OTG cable with external power

I have already tested it with USB Host Diagnostics from the play store and im running Cyanogenmod on my phone.
Anyways the program said under ANDROID API I have the claims support and the classes were found but the device wasnt detected
Under KERNEL I have claims support but no device detected.
While under ROOTED API it says N/A for claims and device
So my question is Is there any way to activate Host Mode on the OS side or 3rd Party Wise?
IMHO the S4 mini has no hardware usb host controller.
You need "y otg cable" and external power and custom kernel
IMHO the latest cyanogenmod kernel probes for usb host hardware but says not found
The cyanogen kernel does not hace the otg support
If you have an "y cable" Try f4k kernel
Can drivers from a Tab Pro P900 kernel be added to that of the Tab 3 10" P5200 so that this device can be support this adapter http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Original-Adapter--UP900-Galaxy/dp/B00J2N0GB4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427201186&sr=8-1&keywords=ET-UP900 There's this user on android stack exchange that got this working by porting the LANHUB drivers to his kernel http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/98063/powered-usb-hub-not-charging-phone-kernel-options
So Im wondering if the same could be done for Tab 3. I am more than willing to buy coffee for anyone who can get this working for me as I only have access to ethernet at work and I want to use mouse and keyboard to work from my tablet. Thanks in advance.
New kernel source from open source samsung have option in menuconfig. Grab a guide set a environement and try it. So much fun
