[POLL] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I'm on the verge of buying an LG Optimus G, or a Galaxy Note II, and the one big software feature that draws me toward the Note II is the multi-window feature. But, I'm wondering, will I really use it, and how well does it work?
Please participate in the included poll so we can gauge just how usable this feature is.
Thanks!
EDIT- Thanks to everyone who responded. I finally got my Note 2 and I'm loving it. I'm planning on rooting to enable multi window access for any app

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
I use it, just used it this morning to link my brother to a few Web pages on the Internet and while shopping on Amazon to compare prices/reviews.
*edit* also not too forget the pop up browser in combination with multi window.

Thanks for the input. Do you use the Popup Browser Invoker?
Also, please participate int he poll if you've got a moment. I'm curious to see how the feedback plays out!

I don't want to say "F*#k that gimmick!" because I'm sure it's a helpful feature for some, just not for me and my needs. I voted never. I don't use this phone for it's phablet features.. to me it's just a big, sexy smartphone.

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
I use it to impress the ladies
swyped all these spelling errors from my galaxy note 2

Obviously you're not rooted since there is a mod to allow all apps.

Nope, rooted but no custom recovery and stock odexed. So the mod will not work for me...

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
I may not use the multi-window, but that said the laggy performance of the LG Opt G kept me away.

I actually look for more ways to try and use mine. The one thing about the Note 2... once you have all that screen real estate, you will never want to go back. I had to repair a friends Evo 4g last night and I felt like I was holding a little toy phone

I'm going to get some hands - on time with each phone I'm considering buying.
I did hear that putting vanilla Jelly Bean on the Optimus kinda cleans things up.

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
Been using it, mostly the scratch pad while in phone calls or searching on Web.
Tried it out with HDMI connected to large screen and was very impressed. An option I may use more frequently in the future.

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
Used it up until avengers ended to watch a movie while messaging my fiancee... works wonders.
The mod to allow all apps is awesome btw, I hate the fb app but love messenger... So video player in 3/4 of the screen, messenger in 1/4.
Plus video player natively has the ability to make the movie smaller and be able to be placed in to of any screen.

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
I use the all apps mod multiwindow all the time. As we speak I have Tapatalk and gTalk in it right this very second
I like to break stuff!

Re: [Q] Do you use the Galaxy Note II's "multi window" multitasking?
I use it sometimes it does comes in handy but the most attraction to this phone is the battery life if the optimus g doesn't have a big battery like this phone then the note it would be even tho I just don't like lg phones period anyway.

The multiwindow really is a useless gimmick on a device the size of the GN2. Makes more sense on the 10.1 where you have sufficient real estate to use it. Also on the 10.1 you can drag and drop images between apps while in multiwindow but on the GN2 you cannot. Kind of takes away one of the real functionalities it offered.
For me it is right up there with 3D screens - cool but useless gimmick.

I remember seeing in the original Note II YouTube clips something called macro which recorded all your screen taps, the results and even your voice at the same time.

Volume up and home button is the key combo, but it does not work on mine either. I read on Phandroid that it was removed for copy-write infringement. That sucks if it is true, it looked like a cool feature. I can not post links yet but Google "samsung galaxy note 2 Screen Recorder" and look at the first and sixth link.

galaxy note 2 / galaxy s3 features (REQ)

Multi view is a good feature. But I don't see a need for it on a phone. It's a nice thing to have on a tablet. Especially N10 as it has a very high resolution display. IIRC CM wanted to add this kind of feature in CM10 but they were advised against by Google.
Pop up play can be had by installing alternative video players like MX Player.
Pop up browser feature is also supported by some browser in Play Store. Forgot the name you can check it out
From Nexus 4
I would Love the gallery from the note to be ported...

idk this phones screen is kinda small for multiview to be of any use really. just try paranoid android in tablet mode with split screen apps and youll see what im talking about
I've also got multi view on my s2 and it looks fine and is so handy

Need help finding the best possible pdf reader/annotator

So far I'm not having much luck finding a pdf annotating app I like. I've tried iannotate and ezpdf reader which either crash often on me or load pdfs and page turns slow as balls.
Anyone out there find something that works great? I don't care if it's a paid app as long as it's fast.
I use ezPDf. It has been consistently the best for doing everything from highlighting to written annotations.

Was reading that Polaris will let note devices annotate documents now. Just click on the plus sign with stylus and select free draw.

Same here on my Note II (basically the same hardware and 4.1.2). Works good for me. I haven't received my Note 8 to try it yet...waiting for the 3G version.
Maybe you have another app or process running that is conflicting or causing lag? I uninstall any apps that I don't use on a daily basis and don't use live wallpapers. My Note II is rooted, but running the stock ROM.

Qpf Notes is the best I have tried and used. I use it on my note 2 every day. I use it to note site maps created from google maps, coolect signatures, fill in diocuments, note existing documents for future changes, and besy of all it has allowed me to be completely paperless in a paper dependent company.. It is perfect for me. Very well supported with updates and improvements. It is a paid app, but if you need somerhing capable of doing this tge price is very low. I love it.
Good luck

Definitely eZpdf, very strong on pdf support. It has also epub support, but it is at early stages.

I bought QPDF, RepliGo, EzPDF...
None they all look the same, but I found EzPDF rendered each page faster than everybody else.
RepliGo was better designed, but every page showed up blured at first and then it would finish rendering.
QPDF have a weird scroll system, but it loads multiple pages at once
So i'm sticking with EzPdf for now
Annotating PDFs
Hi guys,
I have just released a new slim pdf annotation app that targets those of us who want to annotate while we are reading documents. This app is not for note taking (for those who need that I recommend Papyrus).
My app is the slimmest PDF reader, with pen and marker annotation, I have seen. It is easy to use, and it allows you to annotate and highlight as you read. Exactly as you do on paper. It is extremely easy to switch between the pen and the marker; and to toggle colours.
Also – the app recognizes the difference between your finger and the stylus. Fingers are used to move, zoom and erase. The stylus is used to annotate.
A free version of Stylus Annotator is available on Play. Please try it and rate it.

What do you use Multi-Window for?

I really want to use multi-window, but I just can't imagine a scenario when it'd be useful!
Do you use it? Which apps do you use together?
I use it to make iphone users jealeous.

[Q] T-M: Note 3 - Internet Air Browse

I got the T-Mobile Note 3 today, all of the gesture features seem to be working as designed. The only place I haven't been able to notice it working is with the default Internet browser that came with the phone. Waving between tabs/scrolling up and down the page... I have ensured the features are on. I've been able to test everything but that it seems. I also do not see the notification hand icon when my browser is open.
Edit: I notice under the Air Browse settings "Internet" is not listed as a supported application. Gallery, My Music, Music on lock screen and S Note is however. Is this the same for others?
Yes, for some reason it was taken out of the note 3.
