[Q] What about Note 2 N7100 PIT file?

Hey,
At this time i think discuss about Note 2 PIT files by dr.ketan
I have some problem without PIT FILE.
I can't update without PIT file to my phone.
My phone is now little brick "Samsung logo hang on startup"
Please all Developers Request to me
Do something for me.

If you have flashed a stock rom: pull the battery do a data/factory reset and wipe cache in recovery and try rebooting again, and stay away from PIT files if it is not absolutely necessary mate.

I have stock rom but my phone not getting in the recovery mode thats y i can't make data/factory reset wipe.phone just logo hang on startup!
But download mode is ok when i make it flash via odin then odin say "fail" there is no PIT Partition.

Anyone Have Pit for Note 2?
Please tell me How to solved my problem?

Hey.. Im also having the same issue, If I select PDA file then Odin gives error of partition and after selecting the PIT file also its not going through..
please let me know how did you fix your issue?

how to fix this issue bro? my Gnote 2 also have the same issue. and now it won't boot to homescreen

If is not writing the product name at download mode is not possible to fix it. It is sudden death symptom (sds) needs new motherboard, sorry. Warranty return to Samsung

Altered PIT Files
Is there anyone here who can make altered pit files for the Note 2 N7100 like those for the S II I9100 ?

AMAIK, no custom ROM changes the partition sizes of the Note 2, so PIT file is assumably not necessary. Flashing a whole stock firmware with Odin should unbrick.

sorry for all of your concern, but as far as i know, this kind of problem needs a replacement of what they call EMMC. you cant do anything do anything to resolve this problem but to replace that EMMC.

My download mode screen says:
ODIN MODE

So this mean my N7100 can be saved again? Stuck at "There is no PIT partition" too.

[Q] note 2 chinese

hello there
ive brought chinese copy note 2
its working perfect really, but i cannot change language to hebrew because only english and chinese available.
i understand from internet that i should replace rom.
i tried from some guides here,
but it seems that odin cant recognize that phone.
when i put at the same cable my original S3 its immidiatley turns blue (odin) and works
when i try enter recovery mode in the copy note 2 i get the dead android with red triangle
anything i can install brand new 'system' instead of that chinese one?
phone model is GT-N7100
baseband version MAUI.11AMD.W12.22.SP.V8,2013/03/30
kernel version is 3.0.13 [email protected]

First of all Odin is meant specifically for genuine Samsung devices nothing else. Secondly, you've come to the wrong place to ask for its Roms. Google your phone and check where you can download the Roms; you can be certain you won't find it here on xda.

can you tell me what model i need to search at google?
there is another program like odin that can connect every phone and install?
i just need somehow to get the recovery mode which i cant success with, even with rom manager, i get the anoy dead android.

Your device is not Note 2 hence nothing here in this forum would work. We have no idea what model it is as its not an official device for any phone company.

Help! Bricked my brand new T-mo Galaxy S4

In serious need of your help here guys. I bricked my T-mo SGH-M919 today trying to root. Now I can't flash the stock recovery thru Odin. Tried a zillion times, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers restarted my comp, done everything I could think of still no dice.
I keep getting this Fail message in Odin saying " There is no PIT partition" tried to search for a PIT file for my specific model but couldn't find any. I even tried recovery thru kies emergency recovery and failed at the last step. Anybody can help me please.

If you can still get into Odin mode, there's still hope. Have you tried using Odin to flash a stock image instead of Kies?

Don't use and dont need pit file.
Find the stock shipped tar file (aka) 4.1.2 Rom
Load in pda leave everything checkedbin odin thats checked.
Rooting isnt hard at all just got my s4 3 hrs ago rooted in 5 minutes soon as I walked in the door.
You need the Root_m919uvuamdl.zip
And then flash MDB setUIDoff .zip
Then flash superuser.
Thats it.
If u have odin Booted its 1000% NOT BRICKED

Had that and tried flashing it thru Odin several times and I keep getting the same error message. "there is no PIT partition"

Let me ask you one thing. .. is the com port in odin coming up recognize the phone ...if so you are not bricked. . The two vital things u need to see is com port turn on usually blue color and download mode..
The problem def lies somewhere else possibly bad tar file .
Try to find another source for the stock rom tar file another option is boot into recovery and flash a stock rom if you have recovery still

Thanks guys. Finally got it resolved. Rooted and rocking Wicked V5.1

Id at least like to know what resolved it and if anyones opinion? We told ya it wasnt bricked. ..

Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and Odin, rebooted my comp and used the Sammy USB cable.

Well glad you got it.... but i still find it hard to believe any usb was the issue Usb recognition is usb recognition. .if odin seen the phone usb was working. ..its literally that simple... the problem initially explained was that the pit error was coming up... that all relates usually to a file error .
But glad it worked out and u didnt loose a 600$ phone.

I own three Samsung devices, and my sgs2 will not transfer files or work with adb when I use a generic best buy rocketfish usb cable. The original Samsung cable works every time.

Well... one case to the next is different. .. ive never had issue using a lg cord moto cord or htc on a samsung device. .
I just think that the op post if you read his initial problem and how it was stated i think it had to do with trying to odin in the pit section instead of pda.
Ive seen this issue before.

Nope, it was in the PDA section. I'm familiar with Odin and used it several time in the past (on my Note 8.0) . I believe the error message was either due to corrupt download and/or the USB cable. Anyway so glad it was solved quickly and thanks again for your help.

Pit file. That solved my problems. Flash it alone, then flash a good stock rom.

[Q] HELP !! PIT file re-partition Galaxy Note 2 SGH-I317 ATT

Hello there i am really in need of some help with a huge problem i am stock at, I have a Galaxy Note 2 SGH-I317 ATT, i had a hard brik on the phone and i was able to bring it back with a jig. but now the recovery mode is not available and when trying to get to it, nothing displays just a white screen full of whitenoise static. the ONLY thing i can do with the phone is to set-it in dowload mode, but everytime i try to flash anything to it is says "NO PIT PARTITION AVAILABLE" and the it exits.
Does someone please have a PIT file and a flashable recovery image that goes with that PIT file for the SGH-I317 ? i am really desperate.
when the phone is turned on like i mentioned before the Galaxy Note 2 logo does not appears and the recovery system appears to be corrupted.
so i guess the my only hope will be someone to provide me the PIT file and the recovery image that goes with it to be able to flash my phone back to life.
I will really appreciate any help anyone can give me.

But it's a week of your time and about $100.00 of your money...
Contact them as a last resort...but until then...listen to the guy above me....as he is the most qualified user I know when it comes to PIT flashing and partition repair...

please help me! I downgrade my note 2 i317 to 4.1.1 then update it via ota. (it was running 4.4.2 before downgrading it) now after the ota update it just stuck on Samsung logo. I tried flashing it to stock rom again but it just wont get pass Samsung logo and I cant even put it on recovery mode. what should I do?
