I second this, that's too much, his Note 2 is used as well.
I have found deals on craigslist that have people trading their GS3 for Note 2's plus $100 cash.
The Note 2 is not much of an upgrade honestly, sure it has the quad core CPU, larger screen, the stylus and such, but it's not much over the GS3 IMO.
If you can get him to bump it down to $100-150 cash, then I think it would be worth it.
If his is not rooted and yours is, use it as a bargaining chip.
I'm with Spartan on this one...
Yes, you do get 2 extra cores (Same Speed), little bigger screen and a "magical" stylus, but with all that brings faster battery drain as well.
Also, don't forget to use cases, screen protectors and such as extra bargaining chips.

i read the title of your thread, and immediately this question came to my head.... "why?"

Short answer, 250 plus the s3 is way too much in my mind. I I wouldn't give more than 75 plus the s3. But then again I love my s3 and prolly wouldn't trade at all.

Well long story short, I didn't go through with the trade. Thought about it day and I just couldn't justify giving my GS3 with a stack of cash on top of it for the Note 2. He actually got some guy to trade him a Note 1 and $250 for the Note 2 on CL. O well...

Yes, because it's unlocked it would work with Simple- just need to stick in the SIM.
Do you already have the S II? Depending on how much you're getting the One X for, I'm not sure it's worth it... it's a baby step up, if anything.

I think the north American version is only dual core.. But it's still a step up from this phone and if you you can get a good deal on it you should get it

Yep the att one x is dual.. I hate that they do that. Same with s3
The AT&T HTC One X+ is quad core Tegra 3 clocked @ 1.7 GHz. The original One X North American version is a dual core Snapdragon S4 clocked @ 1.5 GHz. I'm contemplating the HTC One X+.
I was thinking about the same thing but found u won't get hspa+ so ull only get edge speeds if u don't mind the slow speeds do it the phone looks awesome... unless in the last couple weeks they found how to get hspa+

Looks sleek too
I use wifi a lot so idk how the one x will really perform
I love my s2 but after a year just wanna try something new.. I hear simple mobile is making all their plans 4g with a 250 mb cap so idk I'll stick in my microsim that I cut myself and give it a go!

Well the news is an eight core processor is likely...actually its gonna be two 4-cores...one at 1.8ghz for higher end performance and the other at 1.2ghz and can swap to this one for most daily use to save battery..and I believe a 13mp rear camera..all if this is officially still speculation but looks quite possible

Not all the eight cores simultaneously - so its essentially not a octa core processor - $ at a time . Either 4*cortex a15 for performance oe 4*cortex a7 for efficiency/battery life . Moreover your friend at at&t is just another regular tech blog vsitor - this is a relatively old news not something he found out/leaked to you

Well won't this just be out dated in fall by the 800? Just saying I was very close to getting this phone only for lg to announce a successor a month after its release. Kinda glad I haven't got the 600 pro yet I will be waiting for the 800 release till then I'm content on my skyrocket running cm10.1.

Its AMAZING soo much better...wow its so nice, I'm totally getting the white flip cover case for this. guy your right i was thinking that at the store today phones are basically computers now just really compact. And my hp touchsmart the first gen. is now slower than than my phone, processor wise. Looks like I'm getting a new computer before I get a new phone..... :laugh:

Great hope you enjoy it. I can't wait till the bootloader is hacked. The pre loaded stuff is junk except for the Remote Control. I upgraded from the Nexus 4 which basically has the same specs but has the LTE chip deactivated. I paid 300 for that and 50 for this so I feel the phone is way worth it. When a true 8 core comes out then I won't blame you for waiting.
