Note II SDS official fix ??

Can anyone post the official firmware version in which Samsung has fixed the SDS brick bug

Anyone ?

Supposedly are all XXDLL7 firmwares

Nope - since the device is dead (hence the name sDs) you cannot go to download to update the ROM whatsoever.
My official fix after SDS happened was to get it to Samsung repair.
Unfortunately it takes them over a month to repair! (Hope to get it back this week, maybe that's just before our holidays)

Got it back, finally after about 6 weeks! Repair should be ashamed!
The motherboard has been changed and so far it's all working good. However, I notice that GPS takes much longer to find a fix.

As far as I know all firmware with official Android 4.1.2 version are SDS safe

New update?

I'm currently on N7100XXDLL7 and my phone is downloading a 99.72MB update. Is this new or am i just getting a previous update that everyone already got. This is in Malaysia.

Okay finished my downloads, now it's on XXDMA5 then i immediately got a prompt for another update. 70.38MB this time.

Extremely sorry but I don't understand what's added! I don't see anything new, nothing. Maybe this update will bring back the battery backup like before, but I can't confirm that as I've flashed just 2 hours before.

Thanks Jujuburi.. Just checked for the update and have received two updates.. 1. 59.7 mb DMA5 and another 34.x mb DMA6.. I hope the battery drain would be resolved by this.. I guess this shd be the last update on 4.1.2 and then we might get a taste of 4.2.1 etc... Although I can skip the 4.2.1 update for key lime pie wenever it gets released.. I just hope our friend Sammy releases it as soon as google does...

Please when you have some information about if it fix the battery drain in 4.1.2 let me know because I am quite interested in updating but I don't want to have the incredible battery drain that is posted in the 4.1.2 forums

hmm, i just checked and im getting the update pushed to me too. wonder if theres a changelog.

i dont much like the idea of having to be in the device's country of origin to be able to update my device. i bought my device online and it happens to be a european device. i generally dont like buying device's from australian resellers since australian firmware devices tend to be the last to get updates.
edit - using complete stock unrooted rom after update, quadrant score went up from 6900 to 7100. antutu score dropped from 18300 to 17950. i'd consider these score differences to be quite negligible though.

Dial *#1234# from your stock phone dialer. This will let you know your CSC. That is your country. You can find the update on xda or plug the phone into Samsung Kies on your computer to check for the update.

Connect kies and update by phone. But you installed has already latest version. How to upgrade 4.1.2 multiwindow?

I've been with 4.1.2 since it came out and I've never had a battery drain issue, infact my batter is lasting longer with the batter hardware acceleration from the UI/apps/livewallpaper.. though i understand that the vocal minority (extreme minority) are having battery issues though I've never experienced it.

Is anyone able to download the update ota? When I check for it it gives me a weird message .. update is provided to users in order they request it. Try later....

Does this mean we are actually getting that update and did anyone successfully download it ota by checking for one?
Is so what is different? Someone mentioned it has a radio update? Will it make the 4g speeds faster?

I don't think the 4.1.2 update is out yet...the update (UVJC) is just a minor one still 4.1.1 with a few security fixes and a new radio.

Now i see. Do u get 4g still? The area where im at right now doesnt have 4g. That might be my issue. I spoke to a tech support guy and he said thats the reason im not showing it in my settings. Hmmm Idk about that lol.

You're not getting 4g anyhow. Because this phone isn't compatible with T-Mobile's 4g network.
4g is really HSPA+.

Got my OTA update the night of Feb 5th. I dont notice a difference since installing but it is only a small update anyway.

So why does mine doesn't let me update it.. keeps saying update is in order which it was requested in or something like that.. what the hell it's 4 days already and I cannot download it.. it says try again... what the freak... is it a normal thing with this update? What do they mean in order that the update was requested.. how can someone request it before me if they are on T-Mobile as me? Makes me confused... last ota update just said there is a new version available...
Can anyone explain?

I had this problem too while was trying to update firmware via "software update" function in "about device" menu. Same issue. Then I tryed it via kies and everything had gone smoothly.

Yeah, when I was waiting for Jelly Bean, i did mine via Kies because it didn't show up in the software update but a week later my wife's showed up in software update. This update however isn't worth getting worked up about not getting it right away.

4.1.2 Update

After waiting for over a month, I finally got a notification for update, but the new firmware version is still LL7(DBT) instead of MA6 or whatever it is. Thought the company rolled over the phones for a new update(MA6 or 4.2) but I only got a version that is supposed to be available in early Jan.. Can I expect a new update soon? By the way, what is the difference between install and install all in OTA update?

Yeah actually you will receive a new update. Me as well I updated my note 2 today with the official ota update. But I guess your update was only around 185mb big? Because mine was. So if you check with last official updates that are on 4.1.2 there around 800mb something if I am not mistaken.

There isn't much difference between dll7 anf ma6 .
Update to dll7 asap because of sds.
800mb is wasn't ever the size of ota.
You may be talking bout full stock rom which is a gig.

I've been on LL7 for a while, and since yesterday the option for OTA has been disabled for me! I mean, I click it and it says it's being distributed to those in the order that it's been clicked... SINCE YESTERDAY! I plug it into KIES which ALWAYS bypasses that wait, and it says I have the latest ROM. So I don't know. Nothing more to do than to just wait!

Still nothing in the UK for an unbranded device. This is taking the pee now...

ATT Pushing OTA Update Today

ATT just tried to push an OTA update to my Note 2. I don't know what is in this update. I suspect it is 4.3. At least one of the local dealers told me they expected it any day. Unfortunately, with my rooted phone and missing some ATT bloatware, ATT OTA updates always fail for me. They download OK. But when they try to install it fails.
Did anyone else get this update? Do you know what it is?
I will probably just take one of the 4.3 (or 4.4) ROMs from here. But I am curious what it is.

Yes I am stock and rooted. But I have deleted a bunch of the ATT Bloatware. My understanding is that updates won't install without some of that stuff. Apparently it checks during the update process. I don't really want to reinstall all that junk just to get the updates.

The S4 Actives had the same problem when we all went to a pre-release firmware... Could download current firmware OTA but failed on install. Only solution was to go to the Samsung rep at best buy to force the update (with their secret software).

Any idea of the size of the update that's being pushed?

Im having the same issue. It downloads with not problem (165mb) but when installing it crashes at 30 percent. I prefer the official roms from my experiences with custom roms there are usually buggy and I end up deleting them later. Any help I would be most thankful for.

I don't think 165MB is the 4.3 update. It was an update for 4.1.2 months ago. Did you have that?

UCAMH3 is 185.14 meg for ATT...
I'd suspect that 4.3 will be something like 350-400 meg.
