The current nightlies I am building are as followed, Xenon, Droid Concepts, ECLIPSE, XYLON and FINALLY KILLROM!! If you want an other rom please let me know. I will sync their source and build it for you! There is no reason why you should have to go to 10 different forums for the ROMs you love!
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHICH ROMS REQUIRE GAPPS AND WHICH DON'T!
INSTRUCTIONS!
1A. CHOOSE YOUR ROM FROM HERE - http://droid-hive.com/index.php?/topic/1334-roms-one-stop-shop-for-unofficial-nightlies-toro/
1B.Get gapps if you are downloading XENON, ECLIPSE, and XYLON- http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip
2. Reboot into recovery!
3. Wipe data and cache is recommended when switching roms.
4. Install from SDCARD
5. Reboot
6. Profit
Credit goes to the developers of the ROMS! I only take credit for the hosting! All I ask is your register on Droid-Hive but this is never required!

I am building now.

Thanks for this. Always great to see other options.

Any chance on you building Paranoid Android nightlies? I'm sure that alone would get you a hefty following and would qualify you as "DA MAN!" :good: Great idea on the one stop shop thread and thanks for using your time and resources for the community :highfive:

Syncing paranoid now lol they will be out tonight/tomorrow. Remember I don't check this thread much. My main thread is at Droid-Hive. Lol so I'm sorry for the slow responses

Has anyone gotten Paranoid Preferences working with PA? The app wasn't there after flashing the 1-17 build over 2.99.9r9. I restored it from Titanium, but after launching it disappears (not a FC).

I will resync and build again tonight.

I think the PA preferences is closed source for now. If I remember correctly from the build instructions on the PA site if you want to build you need to take the PA preferences .apk out of their ROM packages & put it in the zip manually ('er something like that).

Ya on there site it says to drag and drop in the paranoidpreferences.apk from an existing rom. So use the one from their Rom please
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2

Hmm, I'll try again. Thanks!

Try dragging it in to the zip then installing. Like with 7zip.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2

Stupid question... if DT is taking a hiatus what is the point of building nighties for his rom? Is someone picking up the slack in his absence? I saw he was taking a break but I didn't read deep enough to get any further details.

I put it into my gapps package so I wouldn't have to do it for every nightly, but it didn't work. When I go to ParanoidPrefrences in settings it seems to open (white screen and says ParanoidPrefrences at the top, but almost immediately disappears back to settings. I used to use PACman ROM and it also didn't include ParanoidPrefrences and the method I'm doing now worked for that, so I'm not sure why it's not now. I'll do more investigating with logcat and such, but if anyone else gets it working I'd appreciate if you tell me how.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 using Tapatalk HD
EDIT: I attached a logcat of opening Hybrid properties under settings and it closing (like I said, not a FC... it just disappears.) I know you're just building their source so there's probably not much you can do but perhaps it has something to do with the way it's being compiled. Or maybe there were just some bad commits in this particular instance. Who knows. Anyways, I haven't had a chance to look at this yet but I'll try to tonight. In the mean time perhaps someone who actually knows what's going on could look it over.

quick question is droid concepts 4.2.1?
i just never heard of it before, thnx in advance

Yes

[ROM] Unofficial CM10.x Nightlies Jellybean *12-28-12-a1*

Code:
[B]12-28-12-a1 UPDATE![/B] - I just updated todays build to include a WiFi setting
from the [B]10.1 branch[/B]... This commit features an option to [I]Automatically Connect to specific WiFi networks.[/I] By default android connects to all
WiFi networks automatically when they are within range. This allows you to have control over which ones it connects to automatically.
This is useful if you need have several wireless networks at work, and you are moving around in range of a few of them.
You can set automatically connect to the one you'd prefer to be on and it won't bounce between them or pick them willy-nilly.
I ALSO fixed the terminal app not being installed by default... the path to the apk was no longer valid...
Just another unofficial build of CM10. I'll be doing nightlies of 10.1 as soon as I get the script working and 10.1 is complete.
For now, it's just CM10 - straight from source. (Thanks to TeamChopsticks & Steve and his team)
Tested on my phone before each post. I'll try to get these done by 9AM CST every day. (Depends on when the latest commits are.)
Boot to recovery.
Wipe data / factory reset.
Flash the zip.
Flash Google Apps. Latest for JB 4.1 is 10-11-2012 (If you search around you can find 4.2 apps as well.)
Reboot.
Let me know if you find something that doesn't work right. I'm not troubleshooting market app issues - just bugs with the ROM its-self.
Once 10.1 comes out I'll start modding the ROM.

Why another unofficial kang of CM10? To give some kind of variety for downloading. Plus - once 10.1 is out I'll start making some changes. I can also build in about 25 minutes so I can get these out FAST.
As always, be careful. I'm not responsible if your phone goes nigh nigh
Please be patient with the download... I'm working on setting up a webserver dedicated to this because my current one is getting hammered
[pssst! There's also dev-host mirror for the latest nightly HERE (not modifed version...)]

The thread got a1 start because once official nightly builds are released, you are logged at as simply thanks and post whoring. Why not come back when start (our learn how) to cherry pick. You are simply adding an unnecessary variable to end users

Ubuntu for Android Custom ROM for Galaxy Nexus

*****Moderators: please move this over to a different Galaxy Nexus ROM dev area should it apply, but please leave a link to it under this Sub-forum.
I have created what is probably the first custom Android ROM that includes the files for Ubuntu internally, alongside the existing Android architecture. While this is not really a polished release, it has the ability to crash the phone, and requires some tweaking by devs and downloaders. However, for Galaxy Nexus owners (toro for now, soon to be other GNex devices also) this ROM (Rev 2) should boot up after removing one internal zip file. Go ahead to https://sites.google...site/andrevroot for the link about the project, and/or the bottom of this post for
Some things to note:
Comment back what you think about this project, and ROM.
Please keep all comments polite and on topic.
Donate, via bitcoin if you like, as it helps support us, and help create better, more advanced ROMs.
Please look through the whole site
Don't try this ROM if you are new to custom ROMs, try Cyanogenmod ROMs first so you know what you are doing.
I take no responsibility for screwing up your device in any way.
This version is heavily based upon CM10, to the point where it should even say the General CM10 stuff under Settings>About Device. Please do not beat me up over this, it is just because I wanted to get a simple pre-release out there.
This is licensed, please read the License agreement at the footer of my site, you are bound to its terms. Its Creative Commons, but still used.
Thank You for your time, have a nice day.
Above all, do not try to update the CM firmware, as you will lose the ubuntu files contained within!!!!!!

Holy cow, dude this was awesome. I mean... me and this thing clicked instantly. As soon as it booted within 5-10 seconds I got through the lockscreen and then just started dozing through all the apps and swiping. It is a bit slow, not in particular though, probably as slow as Miui. This is just a dev preview, imagine the real thing and I didn't lose to much battery life within the span of 20 minutes. I wanted to keep this on my phone just to test but I couldn't. I'm just waiting for the real thing :victory:

TEMP NEW POST --------------------------
Anyways, I can't leave out sprint So here it is..
houstonn said:
Alright, for those of you who are interested... I've Built the new Paranoid Android from source with alittle spice of my own style ...
This is PA, the way I build and the way I like it.. it has PA's new HALO, yes HALO and it's only available as alpha for the official devices that PA builds for, until now.. I'll let you guys try it out .. Altho I truly love rootbox, I also love PA, so I've been building builds for myself but since some ppl maybe interested in what HALO is or wanna try it, I'll offering you guys the opportunity to do so.. please remember to wipe cache and dalvik before rebooting..
DOWNLOAD HERE and then watch the video below.. remember it's alpha so I dont' wanna hear or you posting, this doesn't work and that doesn't work... There is one tip I can give you tho.. If halo is running, you can't install apk's you need to longpress and drag the halo to the X like you are deleting an icon from your homescreen to install apks.... download gapps here make sure you download the newer gapps.. the multidpi gapp is what I use...
second version here if you are having some data problems with the first..

thanks enjoy this alpha
---------------------------------------------------- OLD POST --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm checking to see if there is any interest, I've been really thinking hard about this and I'm still not 100% sure yet..
I don't come by the sprint forum much at all but I've noticed that you guys need some love too.. I have a test rom that
@xboxfanj has tried, it was my first aosp I did sprint which I built yesterday.. I updated today on my regular one so I also made an sprint one
you can try it out and if there's enough interest I might open a thread for it.. thanks.
DOWNLOAD HERE
download gapps here http://goo.im/devs/BaNkS/GApps I personal have no issues with banks minimal and multidpi
Downloading and will give it a shot.
Thanks
Looks good. Going to take some time trying to go through all the options. Everything seems to be working, minus the usual bugs that are on all aosp jb roms so far like the phone call issue and camera focus.
One thing that's bugging me is that the status bar color changes when I open the messaging app. I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

We would appreciate it if you open a thread in the dev section and post it. There aren't many AOSP roms for Sprint users and I'm sure the interest is there.
You should check out this Vanilla Rootbox rom by rlasalle15 because it looks like its the same rom as yours. I'm not too sure on that.

I put up a new build .. the link is in the OP incase anyone is trying it out. and the changelog you can find here if you've read some of the changelogs you'll find out that there are some features ive implemented.. like under device options in settings it has options to disable/enable cap key lights and vibration intensity. this also comes with my custom kernel but im sure everyone downloads and installs a different one.. for now anyways, till I think of what I should do.. I've been working on this rom for months now and just building another rom after I've spent a good amount of time is kinda useless for me..
I wish I could thank you more for the ability to turn cap key lights off. You're just awesome.

My last A100 contribution - JB Trees 8.01.13

Here you go guys, since it seems people are having trouble building the trees for JB, here they are.
Vendor Tree
https://github.com/pio-masaki/android_vendor_a100.git
Device T20-common (needed unless you condense it down to a single device tree)
https://github.com/pio-masaki/android_device_t20-common.git
Device A100
https://github.com/pio-masaki/android_device_a100.git
Kernel source used was always the CM9 source by Iconia-Dev.
There should be no more excuses for people not being able to build working JB ROMs without me anymore :highfive:
Now, go build stuff! I expect to see AOKP, CM, PA, PAC and whatever else flooding this place.
If you have issues go ahead and ask for help here, I'll help as I can, for instance, I can't recall if this has the GPS fix or not, etc. I'll update the trees as fixes happen to be mentioned, I won't know otherwise.
As always, we owe wds, randomblame and gh123man huge thanks for this stuff.

Kernel is the big pain. I haven't checked yet if what i did worked but once I get the kernel issue fixed it should be set really

I'm gonna update the trees to use a prebuilt kernel, it should stop so many issues from coming up.

Bumping this to keep this from fading away into obscurity.
Did it ever get updated? I forgot to check and then my tab died

A100 Device:
https://github.com/pio-masaki/android_device_a100/commit/6ae5614fd94fab6041688a0aa5b6a23e6d5b1b0f
Removed the cm.dependencies file, its not official so it wasn't doing any good. Alternatively you can have it aim at my git if you choose. If you decide to save me the trouble, please send a pull request.
https://github.com/pio-masaki/android_device_a100/commit/81b968a731f6235d955469a76bc5e32557b40ea7
Use prebuilt kernel binary -
Includes kernel binary, matching modules, and changes to a100.mk and BoardConfig.mk files for using prebuilt instead of source (boardconfig.mk), blocked, not removed, lines for building the kernel inline. If you want to build inline, unblock the lines for the source and config, and block the prebuilt line below it. A100.mk got lines added for handling the kernel binary checking, moving, and module copying over.
Vendor remains the same.
T20-Common:
https://github.com/pio-masaki/andro...mmit/dfe757097dd4c5c22fe0cf05d9c371800a425e57
Removed two lines from overlay/frameworks/base/core/res/res/values/config.xml that interfere with building CM10, you can choose to leave these out, or address the issue yourself. If you do, please send a pull request.
Side note, as I'm testing the trees again there just happens to be a CM10 building which will be available when it completes, as usual I can make no promises on its condition as I can't test it. Nothing special, nothing changed, phablet mode UI, as I offered a fresher build for hardslog for his rebase to the A100 builds, I figured I'd take the time to check over the trees again. There may be more changes but I won't be posting them unless its major.
Edit: build is available now at pio-masaki.com. In case you missed it, the a100 section =p

[ROM] [PORT] 4.3.0 CM 10.2 for d2spr

Hey ladies and gents!
I have ported a rom from our brother, d2vzw. I did some stuff so when you install this instead of downloading from d2vzw forum on this sight, your phone wont go into a boot loop or anally rape you. I really didn't need to do much work, since the hardware is identical.
1) since this from a Verizon device, will I lose service?
Probably not. I typed this topic on the cm10.2 build, and I can call and text.
2) is there focal included?
Yes!!
3) what should I do in case of errors?
Backup....duhh.
Finally, I'm not responsible for anything that you do. If you do anything that loses data, boot loop, or anything that you find an inconvience, well I'm not responsible, and you got yourself a beautiful paperweight.
And if you run into any issues/bugs let me know. I'll be happy to redirect you to the Verizon forums. I ported this. All credit and development go to damnyouwaffles and the fine folks at the Verizon forum.
Download (for d2spr): http://db.tt/cM970gM0
Finally if you want the gapps go to goo.im for the newest gapps for android 4.3

Thanks, its great to hear some appreciation in the first 5mins of posting.
And I forgot to put in my updated build.prop so our devices will say its an SGH-1535. I'll upload a fixed build.prop to replace it to remove all confusion.

One thing to keep in mind when going from 4.1.2/4.2.2 to 4.3 - you won't be able to restore backups (ie. Titanium) after the upgrade due to changes in the file structure in the new version. This goes for both apps and their associated data.
However, you should be able to restore your apps at least when you run through the setup process and download them from Google (as long as you are keeping your phone synced up to your account that is).
Same goes for trying to restore apps taken on 4.3 to an older version.
Just something I thought I'd pass along.

Hey guys, sorry about the inconvience, but I never edited the build.prop to say that your phone is still a sprint s3. Here's the link for the updated build.prop
Download link: http://db.tt/aIMuO81N
Once downloaded you must replace the current build.prop in /system

Here's a source build for the d2spr, it was within the 10.1 thread but didn't warrant it's own separate thread as it's still early for it's own thread for anyone interested. Built today.
uh you guys, you can build actual d2spr build from sources.
You are totally correct. Titanium backup and related apps will work a lot differently when the appropriate updates come.
NOTE TO USERS WHO INSTALL THIS ROM. WHEN YOU INSTALL GOOGLE APPS FOR ANDROID 4.3, SOME APS WILL FC FREQUENTLY. THE FIX AROUND THIS IS TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL THE APPS.

Or you can do 1/10th of the work and port it and still have a fully functioning ROM.

Source built is always better, no offense

I know but I would never have the time to complete a "stable" source build. I actually ported this in the car going to the upper peninsula in Michigan.

Not Rooted
I downloaded this and everything is running pretty smoothly except I do not have root access anymore. Can anyone help with this one?

There's a zip file to fix root issue after 4.3 on cm 10.1 thread. I would link it for you but too lazy right now.

There are several source built 4.3 rom links in the CM 10.1 thread.

Okay...anyone running this with the root fix from the 10.1 thread? If so, how is it working? How is Focal doing? I want to try but I want to make sure there aren't a ton of issues. Thanks.

DUDE - I DID read. I just wanted an update since a few hours ago to see how this specific rom was running. I can't stand people that just tell others to "read." You must assume that everyone but you is an idiot and I am sorry to disappoint you. I guess people like me completely ruin your day. Such a shame. I will be sure not to disappoint you in the future. Maybe you didn't realize that the person only two posts above yours mentioned the fix for lost root without even a link. Maybe I am not the one who needs to do the reading.
And...I am NOT a NOOB - I have been a member longer than YOU. Have a nice day!
So...I got a PM from a newer user who can't post yet but he wanted to make sure that I knew what to do to ensure flashing this Rom will be effective. Here is what he said:
"Apparently I can't post in the developer forums until I've made 10 posts, but I registered just so I could answer your question. Installing the rom and allowing it to boot, then installing gapps wouldn't let me use wifi either. In order to get 10.2 to work correctly I had to flash the rom, 4.3 gapps, and SuperSU all at the same time in one recovery boot session."
So if you plan on giving this Rom a run, give that a shot for the best results. Glad I got my answer.
did you try the root fix? maybe even have a link? can i use any su flashable zip?
thanks in advance
