Not much can be said as it Stock & what I feel our Phone should have came with!
Gapps:
~ All Gapps already Loaded!
First time Flashing:
~ Sign in to Google & Let sit for roughly 30 minutes, I have a ton of Contacts & took me 24 minutes to fully Sync!
Edits?:
~ Custom Power Off charging Images
~ Major edits was done to Data to get a speed boots!
~ Over hauled AOKP source back to AOSP
~ BLN control is in display settings
~ Auto Brightness is set to be off by default
~ Added in CM T9 Dialer
~ Added in a Dirty Quick fix for a working Theme Manager
~ Fixed Gapps issue.

Been waiting for you to release a rom. I know you are good at building roms but I dont see a bug list here. So there is no bugs? How is your call quality. Downloading now. May take long though cause of the lack of my wifi.

hey eugene, if you can enable wifi before setting up Google for the first time, the process of syncing can take less than 1 minute for me..so if you can let us access the toggle bar and hold wifi and enable it from there then continue on with the set up, that would be great!

missing the point in AOSP....
Just use wifi after the Phone boots up... I don't want to tarnish what a pure AOSP rom is.

good we got eugene making roms for us! flashing now, glad to have something other than touchwiz!

So tempted to flash this ROM, but jelly bean is so buttery smooth. Plus ICS ROMs eventually give me the YouTube HD lag. Jellybean never does. Can you OC with Eugene's kernel?

Has anyone gotten Paranoid Preferences working with PA? The app wasn't there after flashing the 1-17 build over 2.99.9r9. I restored it from Titanium, but after launching it disappears (not a FC).

I will resync and build again tonight.

I think the PA preferences is closed source for now. If I remember correctly from the build instructions on the PA site if you want to build you need to take the PA preferences .apk out of their ROM packages & put it in the zip manually ('er something like that).

Ya on there site it says to drag and drop in the paranoidpreferences.apk from an existing rom. So use the one from their Rom please

Stupid question... if DT is taking a hiatus what is the point of building nighties for his rom? Is someone picking up the slack in his absence? I saw he was taking a break but I didn't read deep enough to get any further details.

I put it into my gapps package so I wouldn't have to do it for every nightly, but it didn't work. When I go to ParanoidPrefrences in settings it seems to open (white screen and says ParanoidPrefrences at the top, but almost immediately disappears back to settings. I used to use PACman ROM and it also didn't include ParanoidPrefrences and the method I'm doing now worked for that, so I'm not sure why it's not now. I'll do more investigating with logcat and such, but if anyone else gets it working I'd appreciate if you tell me how.

EDIT: I attached a logcat of opening Hybrid properties under settings and it closing (like I said, not a FC... it just disappears.) I know you're just building their source so there's probably not much you can do but perhaps it has something to do with the way it's being compiled. Or maybe there were just some bad commits in this particular instance. Who knows. Anyways, I haven't had a chance to look at this yet but I'll try to tonight. In the mean time perhaps someone who actually knows what's going on could look it over.

Ubuntu for Android Custom ROM for Galaxy Nexus

I have created what is probably the first custom Android ROM that includes the files for Ubuntu internally, alongside the existing Android architecture. While this is not really a polished release, it has the ability to crash the phone, and requires some tweaking by devs and downloaders. However, for Galaxy Nexus owners (toro for now, soon to be other GNex devices also) this ROM (Rev 2) should boot up after removing one internal zip file. Holy cow, dude this was awesome. I mean... me and this thing clicked instantly. As soon as it booted within 5-10 seconds I got through the lockscreen and then just started dozing through all the apps and swiping. It is a bit slow, not in particular though, probably as slow as Miui. This is just a dev preview, imagine the real thing and I didn't lose to much battery life within the span of 20 minutes. I wanted to keep this on my phone just to test but I couldn't. I'm just waiting for the real thing :victory:

Here's the link to his site which has download links to his Revisions 1 and 2. I've downloaded both and haven't had any luck getting them to flash and his website isn't very clear with instructions on how you're supposed to do so.
EDIT: It seems that he updated the link as I was typing my post. The link to revision 2 is no longer there, and the first revision is hosted on a different site. I'm going to download it and flash it and see if I have any luck.

So you tried out the ROM, how well did it work for you? Did you like it, what do you want to see changed? I am trying right now to put together a hacked SlimBean version, which is much faster and better to use. Did the Ubuntu side work?

[ROM][MIUI US v4][JB 4.1.2][UN-OFFICIAL HERCULES PORT] JMAX_MIUI v3.2.22

First things first, I am not a dev, just someone who loves to tweak his gadgets and picked up on how to PORT.
I ported the latest MIUI (v3.2.22) for myself and am either lucky enough or have enough basic skill to make it work!
I do plan on keeping this up to date as MIUI releases updates but I have a wife, 2 kids, a dog, 2 lizards, etc, etc, you get the drift I'm sure!

1. Download rom and place on your external sd card
2. reboot into recovery (I am using TWRP 2.4.4 but can confirm anything back to TWRP 2.4.1 will work fine)
3. Factory Reset
4. Wipe Cache
5. Wipe Dalvik Cache
6. Wipe System
7. Make sure you followed steps 3-6...
8. Install rom
9. Install radio of choice (Optional, I am using UVLI4 out in Utah and it works great)
10. Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache
11. Reboot
12. LET IT SIT FOR 10 MINUTES TO SETTLE!!! THIS DOES HELP, TRUST ME!
13. Reboot
14. Set up device
15. Enjoy! :victory:

In order for USB Mass Storage mount to work when connecting to your computer you need to go to Settings>Storage and change the default connection type to "Mount SD Card" for right now. I can't get it to prompt at the moment.
Camera reported to only be taking 3mp pics and video recording not working.
As with most JB ROMs you may have call quality problems (echo, underwater sound), not everyone does but it is pretty much a given until Samsung and T-Mobile get off their lazy butts and release a true JB update for our device.

First & foremost, thanks for the work. I think the fact that all devs do what they do for little to no pay is a fact that goes heavily unnoticed in the android community.
Secondly, I was wondering how long you've been using it as your daily driver? Have you gotten around to cycling the battery a couple times? If so, could you give a rough estimate on how long you expect a full charge to last?

Sadly, I don't think we will ever see a stable miui. we can come close BUT there will always be some bugs due to the source being closed. until miui china decides to go open source and let other devs take it on, there will always be issues. not trying to be negative or discouraging, just keeping it real. thank you for supporting the devs!

You're talking about the actual hardware buttons right? If you go to the toggles and click "more" there is a toggle that disables them.

For me it is lasting a whole work day or better (6am to 7/8pm). I have my email set to only sync every 15 minutes and I keep my screen brightness pretty low.

But it seems promising, never the less.
Been looking for a rom so long, that has "pure" CM + Halo 2.0 + Active Display!
Only thing to wish for is as much 4.4. KitKat look possible.
And maybe a little less CM bloat.

As the title states. It's CM10.2 with HALO 2.0 and Active Display. Based on last nights CM code.
I used their device source so it should work. I have no way to test but only to build.
Have tested the builds for the S4 which seem to work fine.

Without more info your either going to get spammed over and over with the same questions about features or your thread will just get ignored and slowly disappear like many others.
Why should we download this rom over any others? You're not helping yourself.

I didn't build it just for you. It was requested by one user who wanted it. So I built it and posted it for him and any others who may want it.
So if it gets taken down I don't really care because that's how XDA is. It's not a friendly place. I post like this on other forums and I get thanks. Over here people just complain.
So again. The title clearly states everything you need to know. It's a ROM obviously so standard flashing procedures would apply.

Nice ROM dev and just what I was looking for. Ill report back any good or bad findings

No clue why. I used the CyanogenMod device and kernel source along with the Muppet vendor files. Is there something special about building for this device? It's successful for every other device I build for. So it's gotta be device source related.

Me too. Will reflash and see if I can get a logcat.
