Google Now not speaking answers - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have no idea what I did but it was working fine before. I searched internet and many other threads and even tried this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZhxvgou4-4
It seems like when I'm trying to increase the volumn while Google Now is suppose to be speak the answer, it's not increasing the media volumn but instead the ringing volumn.
I already tried going into settings and increasing the media volumn there, but it's not having any effects on Google Now's talk.
Please help.

It's not just you, Google Now it's not speaking for everyone right now.

Are you talking about something like caller tunes for t-mobile?
No just an internal audio stream into the phone call, during the phone call.

I'm curious as to why would you want music while talking to someone.
I mean you having phone sex that you need music to get her in the mood so you gotta jam some Keith Sweat/ R Kelly/ Trey Songs<( for the younger Gen).
So what's the reason behind it OP?

Its perfectly understandable why he would want to do this. Havnt you ever been on the phone talking to someone about a song and just told them to look it up on their computee or something when they got home....well if you had a good song you wanted to tell them about and hear you could just play a little bit of the song for them from your phone.

that's basically what they did with Google Music
you can share a music link from your App, and they can play it on their side right away even if they did not purchase it
the only requirement is for both to have Android Phone with Google Music installed

One thing Google needs to improve - Podcast integration

I love ICS, especially for the small things like the Google Music controls on the lock screen (even the secure lock screens). but, it makes their podcast app Listen look even more dated than it already was.
i know there are quality third part podcasting apps, but you guys think Google will touch this soon? Will they add features like speed control, drag-able organization, and quick controls on the lock screen? Or will they finally integrate podcasts into Google Music?
Anyone have any insight?
As far as I can tell, Listen is dead. A good replacement which I use is Pocket Casts. It's well worth the low price.
BeyondPod has my vote for best podcast Manager.
I just have it use my Google Reader feeds to transition from Listen.

Beyond Pod is what I use as well. Not a real polished app but definitely gets the job done. Easy to setup and can automatically download new podcasts and delte old ones from storage.

What makes BeyondPod so much nicer than Listen? I mean i'm open to paying for a great app and such, but Listen has yet to demonstrate any huge flaws that I've felt the need to replace it.
Very curious what has made others dump Listen/pay for a replacement.
i love listen but since labs has been shut down so is further development of listen. i still use it though. im just very used to it.

I got it for free via Amazon's App Store promotion. However I feel bad for getting it for free now. Apparently, Amazon asked them if they wanted to be a part of the Free promotion; Amazon gave them a bunch of numbers about why this would be good for pocket casts, how it would increase sales overall, yadda yadda yadda. Well after the promotion, they obviously had a TON of new users (all of whom did not pay nor did Amazon pay PocketCasts), but they really did not make any money and instead had to find ways to support all these new users. With that said, I probably never would have downloaded (and tried) the App, so while I didn't specifically give them money, I recommend it all the time and encourage users to buy it. I'm super upset that Google cancelled updates/support for Listen but I can at least hope that 3rd party developers such as pocket casts can cash-in.

So sad that Google doesn't support Listen anymore.
I've tried almost every similar app but I always go back to Listen for one reason: no other app lists podcasts by date/time added.
I hate the way some apps place the number of unlistened items next to the podcast's name, forcing you to check every item individually. I just want a single, chronological list.

Listen was abandoned long before Labs was axed. The affiliated Google Groups page was forsaken by the developers 12+ months ago.
This is especially curious since Google Analytics must show how widely used it is.

[APP REQUEST] Tablet to Phone

I love tablet talk, but I have some thing else I would like. The one thing I would love is for an app where I can actually call through a bluetooth connection to my phone. Tablet talk allows you to initiate the call, but you can't hear/talk through the tablet. I have a portable charger for my phone so I just keep it plugged in all day with wifi tethering on, and it connected to my tablet with bluetooth. The N7 can hold its power all day and its big screen and fast processor makes it a great device. But the only problem is, is when I get a text, I use my N7, when I need to look something up, I use my N7, but when I need to take/make a call, I have to pull out my phone. I would love to be able to do it all with my N7.
Anyone up for the challenge? I think a lot of people would get this app.
Tablet talk allows you to have a blue tooth headset connected so you can make calls from the tablet and have it come through the headset.

What is with the way you talk? This is some odd form of english that makes very little sense.
...Groove IP (free)
...what I think that fellow is trying to say (in some abstract, Ebonics, web-geeky sorta-way) is that Groove IP is the way to go. There is a free version (with ads) in Google Play; this is what I use.
However, with Groove IP, you'll need a Google Voice number (i.e., Google.com/voice).
Just get yourself a number and then log into Groove IP with your Gmail address and you're good to go!
You almost don't need a cellular phone, anymore; just wi-fi!
P.S., People in the comments in Google play moan that they can't text in Groove IP; although you can't make calls in Google Voice, you can text through their app.
Well to you guys with a IQ that registers 1million GROOVE IP +GOOGLE VOICE +GOOGLE TALK =HOME MADE PHABLET LoL ha ha ha like I said it works for me Bro GOD BLESS YOU AND GOOD LUCK!!!

You can't ask better than Google talk built in your android device, which is connected to Google hangout and YouTube. Meaning you can video chat up to 10 people at the same time from any device. Pc via android via iPhone, etc. Plus you can watch YouTube together and share screen view and make effects. Best of all you can talk from Wi-Fi and lte. Everything is interconnected.

I like sidecar for the "see what I see" functionality. Does the same thing as all the others with the added ability to share what your camera see with the person you are talking to so they can "see what you see". Its pretty awesome...to me at least
The point is that it should be INTEGRATED and one button use... if you have to fiddle with everything and only us nerds can use it then we will never use it with the people who we really want to see during a conversation

What is this icon in middle of my screen?

I have the same same problem and don't know how to get ridbof it.
Are you on an unsecured network? On the same network with a ps3 or blu ray player with Youtube streaming? I get that icon when I have Youtube opened on my Note 2 and open the Youtube app on my ps3.
There must be a way to dismiss that icon, right? I mean even if you do have Chromcast, it doesn't mean you necessarily want to cast everything.
Maybe the Chromecast section of the forums can help.
I have a Samsung Smart TV that I have linked to my Nexus 7 youtube for Optional transmission to the TV.
But recently, YouTube has started showing this icon permanently when viewing youtube videos on my Nexus, slap bang in the middle the screen.
Im surprised that arent a huge number of people reporting this problem at this forum. Any solution would be appreciated.

Same problem here, I'm running CM nigthlies, but I found this post --> productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/91-3-Nh3BHM[/url][1-25-true] --> which relates the problem to connected bluetooth headsets.

Thanks a bunch!!! Been fighting this stupid symbol for weeks and never once thought it was a bug or issue with youtube. Just assumed my Note II had a problem or my bluetooth or wifi or anything else besides what it really was....youtube! Uninstalled the updates and symbol was magically *poof* gone! I can no longer watch the video while continuing to do something else but a small price to pay until youtube fixes that issue.
Youtube play updates claims this has been fixed now. I have not tested it yet.
