Can Anyone Post A Simple Tutorial On How To Port Xperia Arc Rom To Xperia Ray "GB VERSION"

Has the dev of the rom you want to port given his permission?
I'm only asking, because I've seen in the "Atomic GB" thread, that you have written to port XtremeSilencer's rom without his permission. So he certainly will report you if you port w/o permission to mods!
Here is what I'm talking about!
If I'm completely wrong, just correct me!

Im not editing XtremeSilencer rom Im editing apkmartin rom i ask him he said its ok just give credits
yeah i know i asked the moderator to clean it !

soooo i wanna develop a rom myself dont know where to start so i thought maybe learn to add/tweak current roms out there

if you have not done any work b4 a good place to start would be themeing,
_calum_ has a nice guide in the x10 forums

I have been asked for help with porting CM7 (and after a lot of more I hope) to this device, so I'll try it.
Alone is so alone, so I ask with this thread for members for a team. Everyone who is intrested is welcome, but not too much people, I think of some 2-3 people that will help me. I don't have the Galaxy Y by myself, but I'll do it!

First i'm going to port cm7.1 from gio section to galaxy Y (if I get permission from Phiexz.)
is someone able to unpack a stock rom (a .tar.md5 file)? I need it for porting or at least a full working rom for galaxy y. ANy suggestions?

Dev section! There's a ported CM 7.1 there but its full of bugs. And the stock firmwares are in the Dev section too. Doky's thread. Excited! xP

Before flashing to any custom rom on galaxy y...each one wants to be sure, that the rom he wants to use is bug free or have less bugs...including me.... so today i thought to make a useful thread where each one post about the rom's bugs with the rom's name, he is using or had used...... Just so that each of the beginners will have knowledge about each rom and can take proper decision about the rom he want to flash ......
u can also tell ur review about any rom which is great according to u....
so pls keep posting...

Or you could all just look in the bugs section of the first/second posts in the ROM thread... If thats too much trouble for anyone then that person should not be on XDA.

Flash any mods that say they are compatible .
If you dont understand then read the basic faqs and stickies first .

XDA DEVELOPERS FORUM we do not spoonfeed you are supposed to put some effort in and at least read the basics .
Why should you want to flash mods per se if you dont even know what they are How should others know what mods you want please read the stickied faqs and guides before you brick your phone its not a game.
You want a mod here is a mod picked at random carry on if you must .

Dude, there are many posts about solution of this issue, u can use the useful search function for that or instead post it in questions. pm moderator so he can close this thread cuz it doesn't belong here, read the rules bro

No, it is not valid. Plus, you have already asked the same question in Jaguar thread. And, by the way, you got a detailed answer, including the post where there is a link with firmware and directions. Please stop spamming here and in Jaguar thread.

Dude r u for real? Jaguar Dev made a nice tutorial how to upgrade baseband (if u really need cuz updating it make no difference at all, perhaps if ur having random FC or no signal), I suggest again to use search function.
