I know it hasn't been done yet, FOR THE I747 that is... SO my CHALLENGE for one of you devs , is to creat a dualboot Kernel like what siyah kernel did on the i9300 and s2 , I would learn to do it my self, but i wouldnt know where to start... if someone maybe pointed me in the right direction?
+1 i would also like a dual boot kernal but i wouldnt know where to start on building it

I am working on messing with kernels, just for fun to see what I can manage. Does anyone know how to insert more frequencies into the kernel itself? I have manged to find the table yet every thing I try it seems to not load correctly on flash.
It's not as easy as it sounds/looks, thats why there are way more rom developers that turn kernel cookers than people just becoming kernel cookers! Good Luck!
Is it possible to dual boot in the Note 2 just like in the S3?:crying:

Not yet, you'll have to wait. The N7000 had dual boot too, so I guess it will come.
when is when?
S.O try to help?
until somebody like siyah or dorimanx picks up an interest in Note2, we won't have dual boot anytime soon. I admit I miss this feature, I had siyah kernel on my S2 but that didn't stop me from moving 2 Note2. Keep in mind that Note 2, for different reasons, will never b as popular as S2 or S3, so developers will have less incentives 2 invest in the time needed.
I did try coaxing Gokhanmoral to port his Kernel for Note 2 but he is reluctant to develop for a device he do not own. I will still try using my limited development understanding to work with him and other Kernel developers in porting atleast the dual boot part of his kernel.
Hi all,
I have been working on porting the dual boot feature from the S3 to our N2 for the last few weeks.
I Finished compiling the kernel this morning, and am busy testing it.
The first rom is booting fine.
I have finished cloning a rom to the second rom, and will try getting it booting tomorrow.
Gokhan moral said that if I can get the second rom booting, he will compile me a version of his custom dual boot recovery with all the dual boot features for our note 2.
Cheers
Corey
hi how can i use two roms in the same time is there any KERNEL can do it like Siyah Kernel in galaxy s3
No.
Not yet, guess someone will do Multiboot sometime, but dont coun't on that.
So I've been wanting to try out a custom kernel from a different htc one section and I heard they work for aosp but I'm guessing not with sense but it seems like our kernel is always the 3.4.10. How can you tell if a kernel will work? Thanks for your help and I apologize if this has been asked before.
Hello i have a samsung galaxy s3 running android 5 lollipop the liquid smooth build.
was wondering if anybody could help me out with a overclocking kernel , or point me in the right direction .
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not to sure about the the s3 kernels but OC has to be set manually in the kernel its self though some lines of code.........long story short unless you know how to code and build kernels, nope you cant
thank you for reply
was just curious do you prefer the stock rom over custom rom images for the s3.
liquid smooth rom has some issues. ( i just really wanted lollipop )
was wondering if i should just have left the stock rom.
again thanks for your time.
