Hello everyone.
I've been searching the internet without finding a definitive answer to my issue.
I have a i9100P from orange uk, which means a bit thicker battery, different cover, and NFC.
Now let me get this strait away.. I do not care about NFC.
What I have gathered around the net and xda.. (true or not I do not know):
1. Normal 2000 mAH samsung battery cover does not fit. Cutting the case seems a solution.
2. There is a reboot/bootloop issue when you plug in the charger when fitting a normal 2000 mAH battery on a 1900P NFC enabled phone.
3. Korean 2000 mAH NFC EB-K1A2EBSG battery works (cover does not fit at all)
4. EU 2000 mAH not NFC EB-K1A2EBEGSTD (cover fits with modification)
5. I do not like non samsung battery replacements
I only wish to purchase a higher capacity battery than the standard one I have.
any successful stories?
anyone with a i9100P and using 2000 mAH battery?
Also very interested to find out which genuine extended battery will fit this device having just picked one up. Was going to get the regular extended batt for amazon but will hold fire...
or anyone currently with any type of extended battery on i1900P NFC ?
or Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 Extended Battery Power Pack Case (does it fit?, normal slim cases do not properly fit on the i9100P).
Although this one seems a pain because in constantly charges the phone, which in turn wakes up all the time to tell you that it is fully charged, and in this way it depletes the battery.. and on and on....
Also done a bit of research on this with no luck.
Will the EU EB-K1A2EBEGSTD battery cause the boot loop?? Do you have a link to what sort of mods are required to the case?

I read it somewhere about the bootloop.. cannot seem to find the link anymore.
The case does not fit properly (about less than 1 mm so not a perfect fit).. some have resorted to cutting parts of it with a knife and some others skipping the case and using a tpu cover.. based on this, am I to assume that even on third party kits (battery&case) the case does not fit properly?

still not sure of my options...
cannot believe that no xda user has any successful stories...

I do have Samsung Official Extended Battery (from Amazon).
And pretty happy with it! You don't even notice that you have it, as the cover fits perfectly on the phone. I also have the official case and cannot be happier with both!

do you have i1900P with NFC or a regular i9100?
I1900P battery
Does anyone know where to get hold of a replacement battery for the 1900P? I am experiencing random shutdowns and have tried the paper trick to wedge the battery in the case. As this replacement phone doesn't have the yellow screen problem I want to keep it rather than return it. I bought mine 3 weeks ago from Orange online and this is the 4th replacement in these weeks to get a screen without the yellow tint.

The only extended batteries I know of so far are from Mugen Power. They just released a 1600mah (no new backdoor needed) and a 3200mah (new backdoor, adds a full INCH to the phone...looks like a brick and is $99). I don't think either is a very good option personally as they are expensive and the big one just kills the aeshetics of the phone.
EDIT: FIRST time I'm seeing the 2400mah battery linked in the post above. Does it work? How big is it? Anyone ordered it?
EDIT 2: I also found ANOTHER extended battery. Not yet out so this auction is for a waiting list + coupon off. But its a 2800mah with a door for $36 without the coupon. Found here
Will it be possible to find a higher capacity battery in the same size as the current battery?
Also, anyone know where to find a 1500mA usb charger?
1. Look at my post above.
2. I bought such a charger off of amazon already. Works great. Google it.
3. I just found a very decent 2800mah battery. needs a new back cover but its not TOO huge. See here

What terms did you search? I found car chargers that high, but no usb wall adapters?
I was hoping for a 2000mah or so battery that was the same size as the 1600 we have now. Wishful thinking?
I'm waiting to see what the back looks like on that ebay auction. I don't mind a thicker back, but I don't like to have a rectangular shape protruding from the back of my phone.
same i'll only buy batteries that fits inside the original compartment
don't want to use any big fat backcover

wtf is with that price? O_O
That's why I was curious.
yes that battery will work for the vibrant. I have that same exact battery, but you will need a extended battery cover.

Unless this thing is horribly disfigured and malformed it is the same as the stock battery. So you shouldn't need an extended cover, but yes it will work.
Is it just me or this battery is on sale for only 3.41$ with free shipping. I wouldn't mind grabbing one if its the same exact battery as the stock one.

Yes - they are the same size / capacity as the OEM batteries. I have 6 of these (travel a lot with a lot of plane time) and they last almost as long as the original. Look around on ebay - you can get 2 of these with a wall charger for under $10 (shipped from HK).
I recently bought a couple of extended batteries (3500 ma) for under $8 each that came with an extended back cover (slight rubberized feel). I use them when home (no protective case for them yet) and love them. More than twice the run time and the added size gives some extra weight to the phone (feels a bit more hefty).
Hey guys I am quite excited to get my new captivate gilde. (it is in the mail).

No experience with those particular batteries, but I do have some experience with ebay batteries in general - again, not bashing this seller or this particular product, but typically what I've found is you'll get a 100% charge for the first week or two, and after that those batteries will degrade quickly. If you don't mind switching out batteries it may not be that big a deal to you, but getting my case off and back open and rebooting the phone isn't my idea of convenience. Personally, I'd rather spring for an external charger if I'm really in need of extra battery time...
Good luck with those

I also found this battery on ebay with a 3000Mah rating:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3000mAh-BAT...026630?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27bd710a86
Unfortunately it does not come with the extended back plate for our phone but this is the correct battery model. Wonder how long this battery would last.

My cousin bought the 2x1800mAh and gave me one a couple days ago. My battery is still good but thought I'd try it out. On average I get about maybe 9-ish hours per charge. Over the past 2 days with the new battery, I got 7 hours. I use my phone a lot and I work in a building that's network-resistant so it gives my phone extra work trying to get a signal. Like Lookin4Trouble said, if you don't mind switching out batteries then it's not a big deal. But if my OEM battery ever dies, I'd rather waste my money by taking a take a swing at the monster 3600mAh Mugen battery.
But right now I am using the ORIGINAL Samsung 1800mAh battery of Epic-Touch-4G... It is slightly bulkier than the one came with glide... But fits TIGHTLY with the glide's original cover without any issue... Initially you may find it tough to close the back, but don't worry, it will fix like glove and phone will work perfectly... I am using this now in my glide...
The original glide 1650mAh battery + cover will have half or one mm play (gap) initially.. After placing the 1800mAh battery of Epic-Touch, that gap was gone and phone battery life is also improved a little bit...

Ya same... Checked with the battery model number...
Ebay batteries are a gamble.
I purchased 8 AA rechargeables last year, they were advertised at being 2500mah. When I held them, I noticed they were too light to be 2500mah so I used a battery analyzer on all eight, the results were as expected
508

Ebay batteries are not recommended.
And has anyone tried Onite 1900mAh? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007VN09Q4/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_us?ie=UTF8
I'm using it for half day now and it seems to be worse than the stock one - could that be true?

I'm looking at some battery options and this looked very interesting. Has anybody else tried this and would maybe like to post their thoughts on it?
Well I ended up buying this battery.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3800mAh-Ext...665469?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item19d41a247d
I get about 2 days of light use now vs 1 day of light use. I would say that it is worth it for 12$ Also I think that the captivate glide is too thin.
Well I took the plunge and decided to order the Galaxy SII 4G Touch battery. I will post up pictures and results afterwards. I am just hoping that the battery will fit.
Retrospect

OK so it's been quite some time now since you have bought these batteries, so can you provide some feedback please? Are your batteries still usable (have not swollen, still hold charge etc.)? If not, can you tell me how long the batteries lasted you before they needed to be replaced? Can you also provide me with specific links to the webpages you bought your batteries from?
Many thanks.
Well I have changed a dozen phones after posting that. But if my memory serves right, it gave better battery life than stock battery and I have experienced no problems during the few months I have used.

I've bought Mugen (standard, not the huge extended) and I'm very happy with it. >4 hours screen time.
Sorry to resurrect an older topic, but i am debating getting a new battery with how flaky mine has been at times lately.
Im curious about the 1800mah one that fits in the standard case/backing. Are all of the functional numbers the same? Would it mess it up voltage wise to look up one of those batteries instead??
wath is the best battery ???
Definitively the Samsung, you get an original perfectly fitting new back cover with it plus this is the only higher capacity battery I know that also has the NFC technology of the original one built-in. With non-Samsung batteries NFC is not present.
Personally I got the samsung one since it came with a back cover to rid the phone of its "chin" though if you'd like to keep the phone the way it is or you use a case definatly go with the mugen one, they say it's compatible with NFC just like samsung oem and let you use oem battery cover. I'd had a mugen battery for my dell streak and it was fantastic quality the battery went on for 7 months without much degradation.
I tried googling, but to no avail. Does anyone know of an Extended Battery Kit for the Active?
I've yet to see one because I doubt anyone (meaning a company) will be able to create one that retains the water-resistant capability of the GS4A. Your best bet may be the Mugen 2750 mAh battery for the GS4 which appears to be the highest capacity that still retains the stock battery size. That's pretty much the best and only option for any "extended" battery runtime.
Oh, and if you see anything on eBay or wherever that claims higher than the Mugen at 2750 mAh run from 'em 'cause they're BS as always.
Extended battery
Its not even available on Amazon....waiting for Anker to launch one...
A little pricey, and not sure of the actual specs, but here is one I found on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-3700mAh..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item338648e7ab
I just did a quick glance. You can look around more if you please.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...ery&_nkw=S4+active+battery&_sacat=0&_from=R40
I wouldn't trust that any further than I could throw it.
If Mugen can't get 3700mAh into a standard size GS4/GS4A battery, ain't nobody else going to be able to do it either, that's my position. Mugen makes a 2750mAh as I noted above and that's pretty much the best we're going to get for the GS4A. That so-called 3700mAh model, nah, I don't believe that capacity for a single moment.
If someone wants to take a chance on it, however, more power to you (pun very much intended).
For us GS4A owners, the Anker or Hyperion dual battery (meaning you get 2 of 'em) and charger setup is probably going to be the best for 'extended' battery life most likely. I'm still considering that myself but I've got 3 batteries already (one Samsung official that's a few weeks old and 2 cheap Chinese counterfeit ones without NFC capability).

Zero Lemon 3000 for I9295
I tried Zero Lemon 3000 for I9295 (Galaxy Active), but it too sick for this model.
Even when i removed paper from battery it looks like no 100% feet.
You won't retain your water resistance, but I've used the ZeroLemon 7500mah in my S4 Active and wrapped electrical tape around it to keep it in place.
Not the prettiest looking, but the battery life is out of this world.
I bought the S4 Active for the LCD screen anyways, not for the water protection.
