Like the title says I have a new Sony Xperia acro s and I love it, running the stock .45 Rom is there any way to get more options on the stock xperia home? If not, is there a way to get the stock widgets for weather and walkman on an aftermarket launcher such as apex or nova? I love the stock home launcher but it's just missing a few things.
Thanks,
Sean
Search for serajr Xperia Home mod. And you can't use them on other launchers.

You know that this won't enable you to use Sony widgets on other launchers, right?

No but it offers more customization options which I wanted.

I dont know if this what you're looking for the answer - but dont use stock locker - Other lock widget will do the trick. Myself is using Go Locker ICS theme, very nice so far.

hi thx for recommending go locker. however, some themes seem to not fit on the screen. did you change the configuration somehow to get the themes to fit on screen?
So, I believe this to be an Ion issue only, but I'm not totally sure. Upon changing my launcher to Apex, I can no longer access many of the widgets native to the Ion, such as the (extremely convenient) toggle buttons for WiFi/Bluetooth/NFC/Vibrate/etc, the default digital clock widget that is the first thing you see when you first start your shiny new Ion, and many others. Any help on getting these to work in Apex would be a godsend.
Note: I can still change to the Xperia Launcher and see all of the widgets perfectly fine, they're just not available to place from Apex.
Some widgets are native to the xperia launcher, try using power toggles from the market

It is the same with most of the launchers. Widgets from one launcher is not usable on the other. Nothing new.
These widgets are dependent on the launcher.
I miss the walkman widget when using another launcher, so sticking with xperia launcher.

The widgets are only compatibles with the "home xperia" original
Is it possible to unpack the apk and remove the dependencies for the home launcher?

Well, thanks for the help guys.

You could try using ported widgets that are not dependent but doubt there are very many and allot of them don't play very nice unless all Sony stuff is not in the build. I would not mess with it though as you could cause a big problem. Maybe in a few years we will get a unlocked boot haha
I miss the walkman widget.
How to convert Xperia pro .587 stock launcher app drawer to 5x4. Which file need to change and how?
Thanks in advance.

use this program to completely customise your home
Thanks, I didn't know that existed.
It would even be better if it would let me change icons and edit labels (or simply remove all labels).
So for now I'll stick to Apex. In case I could create something similar with Sony's launcher compared to the attached screenshot, then I'll move from Apex...
And here is the Apex Screenshot.
JellySandwich 8.2, with transparant status bar, and MIUI icons.
I would even prefer the status bar being smaller (e.g. DPI of 200 in stead of 240) but I didn't find a stable enough release of ParanoidAndroid yet)
Dear thanks for reply. But I dont want Xperia T or GX launcher. I want to customise stock Xperia pro .587fw launcher. Please help.

I think previous versions of the provided application by Adrian DC can let you customise xperia s home, which is the same as xperia pro home, so try finding version 6 of the program in the thread good luck!

I have tried but not succeeded, can anyone tell which file needs to be changed for this. Can I get/copy that file from any other Sony stock launcher?
Please help. Thank in advance.
Hi guys, i have the Xperia S and i need to use the Sony widgets in another launchers because i dont like the Sony launcher.
Its possible?
No, you can't. They are made to work only on Sony launcher, just like so Go Widgets are made to work only on Go Launcher.
Okay but i cant find a good widget like Walkman widget
Then use Sony launcher

Search for "plug in music". A widget that plays the walkman and can launch the walkman app

You can hide apps from app drawer with this xperia home launcher

I guess we do have an option! I have been using Xperia GX Home with Xperia Home Preferences in Xperia T ICS ROM and it does have that feature wherein u can hide the unwanted apps from the app drawer. Try it out.
