CM 10.1 nightlies & Baseband Versions - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Has anyone tried running the CM 10.1 nightlies with an updated baseband/radio like FG01 or FH02? I'd love to hear your stories of success/failure.

Not to be a ****, but you need to put this in Q and A's.

Question- choppy/unstable Bluetooth?

K so when I fist got my gnex I could use it with my Bluetooth speakers from a far range I could be like two rooms away and could still here it fine and it would be smooth. That was stock. Now that I'm rooted and running aokp it is horrible. I can't be more than 4 or 5 feet from the speakers without it cutting in and out and being really unusable.... would this be the rom (aokp M5) or the kernel (latest Franco nightly)?

Could be either, especially if AOKP is using the wrong bcmdhd.cal for the device.

You answered your own question. Go back to stock if you need things to work properly. Custom roms are experimental at best, since they introduce all kinds of problems, including app incompatibility, hardware instability and broken features (like voicemail notifications not working).
Good luck.

Sorry it took long lol I'm at work so I had to go on chrome and try to get it on there then I had to zip it with androzip ....

Looking at it now.
Well, it is the right one. I know the Verizon version has been modified to fix choppy BT. It may or may not work for you. You are welcome to try it, but back up your current one.
Okay thanks I will try it when I get home

signal

Since i flashed 4.2 and now 4.2.1, ive been constantly losing signal during calls. Does any1 know how to fix this, guessing it something to do with the radio.
Are you using the latest radio? GSM or CDMA?
its GSM, baseband 19250XXKK1, guessing this is not the latest 1.

On the VZW Gnex, I have the latest radios and have tried the linaro AOKP nightly from last night and the night before as well as the cm nighty from both nights and experience a loss in data even after fiddling with settings the change it off of wcdma. If I get data at all its 3g when on codename androids 3.8.0, I have 4g. Any advice would really be great. I love the feel of 4.2 roms but cannot live without my 4g

After a little messing around, I ended up going back to stock rooted rom (4.1.1) and wiped data and reflashed the aokp nightly and haven't had a problem with signal in 12 hours. Flashed then latest lean kernel and I'm loving it

Cm10 12/16

Now that the thread is closed I have to post here. Anyone have a link for CM10 12/16, clean MD5sum?

I think I'd like to have that as well. I see someone was claiming that it incorporated a significant fix that wasn't included in the stable release, which is what I'm running.

ill be flashing it.
Why does 12/26 say cm10 instead of cm10.1 I'm guessing that's a typo? There is two 12/26 nightlies?

I'm having a weird issue. I'm on the stable build and I can't receive MMS. I have always been able to receive MMS since they initially fixed the issue but now I can't. Will changing to an earlier mms.apk make my mms work?
EDIT: I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950443&highlight=theme I'm not currently on CM10 but the thread confirms that it works.
I've been on cm10 12/26 build for a few days and I can confirm its the most stable cm10 ROM.
To prevent 3g timeout, set to CDMA only mode. That's the only bug I've noticed so far.

Does that mean 12/26 has hand off issues or is it just a timeout issue? I was on stable and am just now switching to 12/16 hoping it resolves some minor problems, I don't recall experiencing time out issues only a couple hand off issues in a few areas on town and while traveling.

No, according to the official changelog for Cyanogenmod, 12/26 is CM10, not CM10.1.

CyanogenMod for galaxy s2 the same as epic 4g touch?

I was browsing online and wanted to see if the ROMs were the same because I am getting status 7 error, but there is a work around I just don't wanna brick my wife's phone. Does anyone know if there is a difference or if it can be done. Mainly looking for the stable version of CyanogenMod. All of the links here for cm9 are down or corrupt.

Also there is a stable build of CM by dastin1015. CM 10.1, Wild For The Night, for the E4GT. Zimlokks is also doing nightly builds for it as well. Solid as well. But listen to graydiggy. S2 is NOT the same as the E4GT! Good luck!

Samsung Galaxy S II > GT-i9100
Sprint Epic 4G Touch > SPH-D710.
The look between the 2 phones is different.
The Sam SII Has a pressable Home Button.
The Epic 4G Touch has a home button on display and it
has an extra button to press for google search / searching.
Stick with your phone's model / build. Keep that in mind and to know
what you're phones firm build and base is.
Look at it under Device Settings > About Phone
Cheers mate.
Thank you all

Hey thanks guys for everything, that's kind of what I figured. Although with the wild for night build I had a ton of problems, even on the latest nightly. But I think my wife is just too picky, I even got her back to stock jelly bean rom and she didn't like it, but she didn't like the ice cream sandwich she was on either (stock). I think I will just downgrade her to the Motorola razor flip phone, haha!

dude come on man, we literally have two sections for roms, Original and Development, tasks is in the original section and the unoffical build is somewhere in the development section.
Ok I was Jw if there was any new ones. Why is it such a big deal to you that I asked?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Because the question and thread is not needed with a little research, xda members are required to search first, ask questions later. I'm not trying to be mean, but no one wants to do other people's legwork.
OK I did search and it's hard to find new aokp roms for the sprint s3.. That's why I asked and if your not gonna help then don't comment thanks

They are not hard to find, they are in the original development forum.
I agree with metal. Within 2 mins I found all these. Some are even nightly updates. May not be pure AOKP, but it can be nice to try something new. Next time just make sure you cannot get a 100% answer before posting. All you have to do is look.

I actually meant a new pure aokp rom I did see all these except the first dirty port one but I was wondering if there was a newer one out like a 4.3 one. I have the newest pacman rom out and they use the milestone 2 that's why I was wondering if there was a new pure aokp rom out
