Hi! Is there somewhere where I can get a 4.0.3 ROM which is unmodified (just compiled - not custom ROM) ?
Thanks
If you have a GSM version try Bugless Beast. That rom is pretty close to stock.

Its very doubtful you will find an untouched build as its not an official google stock version on the Galaxy Nexus so at the very least any versions on here will be rooted.

Mark, I think you won't find an untouched 4.0.3 build because I am reasonably certain Android build number "IML74K" with tag "android-4.0.3_r1" in Google's Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository has problems. I think the vendor binaries provided by Google are wrong, and extracting them from my phone is worse. I'm not sure how people are building 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 ROMs that work, but this is something I hope to learn.

Would it be possible to install the jelly bean keyboard on our phones? I read that there were some improvements.
Could someone try and pull it please?
I'm interested too.

If it did work, you'd have to include the lib file.
I'm interested too.
Somebody can just put the original apk file here, and we try to make it compatible with GB/ICS...

bump and question
what did you read were the improvements on the JB KB? love the ics one, hoping next is great too
U would get a install error because the builds are different jelly os can installs apps designed for 4.1 and lower ... Ics can only install apps 4.0 and lower

4.1 JB LatinIMEGoogle.apk:
cant push to system, won't show up in input methods on AOSP 4.0.4 Galaxy Note

So the current version of my I9250 Galaxy Nexus won't let me update to anything newer than 4.0.4 due to restrictions (checks for updates, and none are found). Can anyone recommend the best way to either install 4.2 or a rom that is even better? This is also my first time so ideally I hope there are some guides out there that have instructions for doing this all on Ubuntu or another linux based OS. Ideas?
Yakju - Takju ?
Maguro - Toro - Toroplus ?
Did you flash a custom recovery ?
Do you want a custom ROM or stock ?
Yeah a lot of questions, if you answer I can help you

Hey XDA!
Is it possible to flash a Verizon GNex (toro) ROM onto a Sprint GNex (toroplus) without breaking too much?
Also, what are the differences between the two ROMs that makes it so hard to port them? I though the only differences were the inclusion of the Sprint profile / PRL update as well as APN and MMS settings... is there a guide on porting ROMs between the phones somewhere?
Thanks!
Most of them are compatible( except the 4.3 ROMs) if you flash this script after ROM, before the gapps. I'm running toros version of Purity right now, have been for two weeks.http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...Ms among Tuna Devices // 4.3 Support for toro
Make sure you read the op.

Personal downloaded this rom CyanogenMod 11.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160L )
Brought to you by TeamCanjica, now my doubt is for me to install the ace 2 L I8160 which procedure? need to do anything else, because my ace 2 is the Brazil and uses the 8160 L rom, I'm afraid to do it anyway and give problems and are unable to recover the device over.

Hi I am not sure about the ROM you speak of, but I just managed to update my 8160L which was on VIVO running JB. I used Mclaw and the procedure required you to take the TEE folder from your current JB rom and insert it into the new rom before you flash it. I also had to edit the updater script and it was pretty straight forward from there.
