[Q] bug on the clock

how to disable the bug in the middle of the watch,I'm interested in just a bug on the clock, sorry for my English, it is not my native language

another question:
wm default alarm clock wont go off at the time it should. when i turn the device on,then it start alarming .
i had this bug even in my stock 6.1 rom.and kwbr4.any ideas????????

This is NOT BUG its is how is designed to BE this is a FLIP CLOCK this mean the Numbers must to FLIP and that is the reason why htey look like this!!!
YOU cannot fix it.. as far i remember befor long long time.. there is Dusk Clock for the Old Touch Flo 3D with is without this in the midle.. but the clock use some patch and etc... and is designed only for the OLD Touch FLO... search here about Dusk and will see what i mean.

Honestly i think this is not Bug too but I NEVER USE the default Alarm Clock just never... from 2 years i use G-alarm and all is perfect.
Maybe try to flash another ROM

tnx for yr respond my friend.
its a simple alarm.its supposed to work correctly.its not opinion or taste oriented.so i think its a malfunction or bug ,i dont kow the technical term.
klaxon messes up with auto device lock and galarms too heavy and commercial.just dont want to c another program is added to the long list of installed apps.
a fix for this simple alarm is very appreciated.

Explain me what the Alarm did exactly and i will test my default Alarm and let you know do i have the same Bug if not this mean is ROM problem or if i have it will know for what to looking to fix it.. so write me here example what the Alarm doing exactly and will tell you with sure

wm6.5 alarm bug
this happens 60-70% of the times, not always:
alarm is set at 6:30 am and everything looks fine.
bad part: i wake up late at say... 7:15 and find out that the alarm hasnt worked and im gonna get fired .as soon as i turn on the device at that 7:15 it starst alarming and making noises which adds insult to the injury.
i saw this on wm6.1 stock frst which brought me to rom flahsing world.im using kwbr4 titanium rom.
if the fix is t0o time consuming,naming a light alarm clock which doesnt mess up with lock device would be appreciated too.

Now i test this in my device 3 times and the Alarm Always start exactly on time and i do not need to wake up the device the Alarm to Start all is fine like it must to be for this reason is called Alarm to wake you UP not you to wake Up the Device
So what can do now is to flash your device with the ROM im using now.. because like i say its already tested and all work. Also the ROM im using is very fast and clean... im using it because after years of EYE CANDY im tired and just want fast device for everyday use so i can recomend to flash the ROM from my signature.. here is the link:

Its 6.5 with Core Manila 2.1.38411.0 witch mean ROCKET.
Befor to Flash it i RECOMEND you .. DO a task29 to Clean the whole device and when you flash the new ROM to know that all is NEW and FRESH free of Bugs.
Im Using this ROM from few mounths and there have only ONE BUG.. you cannot ADD NEW CONTACTS from the Dialer itself but you can do it without problem Under Contacts.. so i think this is not a big problem because all other work Perfect and worth trying it.. also consume less power.
The other variant is.. if you do not want to flash a new ROM is to install 3rd Party Software for Alarm etc.. like i say i recomend G-Alarm

Stock weather widget shows sun at midnight

My buddy must have a defective Nexus. He's using the stock Genie Weather widget and it still shows the sun, even at midnight.
There is no way Google would screw that up ? I thought ICS was revamped from the ground up over Gingerbread ? How could such an basic thing be overlooked ans not corrected before launch ?

Considering the news and weather app wasn't changed at all since it were introduced on the nexus one, it isn't that surprising. I don't get the big with it showing a sun instead of a moon though. Does your friend get confused and think that the sun is actually out, only to be disappointed when he sees the moon?

I like to think that his friend is afraid of the sun and is now stuck in his room unable to tell whether it's safe to go outside.
On topic: I haven't experienced this, it's not something silly like having AM/PM set wrongly is it?

Lol, I'm having a similar issue with the Genie widget also except my Genie widget still says Kim Jong Il has passed away even though that event happened last month.

No. Stock weather widget just works that way. It always showed only sun independently from current hour It is a little silly, but as jamontoast1291 said, it wasn't changed since it's debut in N1

That's insane, how could Google not update the Genie News and Weather widget since the Nexus One ? It is a very popular widget and should have been tweaked in ICS. Plus to still show the sun at midnight, and no moon is sad.

[Q] Fancy widgets problem..

Hi everyone,
i have a problems on my wildfire device with fancy widgets..
The date widget shows wrong Day with correct date..
For example today is "28 May Monday" but this widgets showing "28 May Tuesday"..
always showing current date with next day Name..
Have anyone knows is it a bug or somehow settings problem..
Kindly guide me, will really thankful..

Are you sure the year of the phone is set correctly? This seems like a weird problem.

[SOLVED] Losing app settings after reboot on JB

Ok, maybe someone has an idea here:
I started installing custom roms on my HOX a few weeks ago, and started with InsertCoin (ICS) because of the stability. Everything worked - this is my goto Nandroid backup, and I'm going back to it a lot. Now I've been playing around with Jelly Bean roms, specifically LorD's Ice Cold Jelly 0.7 AOKP and tbalden's CM 10 Alpha 1.2.
I had a couple of problems with the former, and everything seems to work fine with the latter, except a very strange issue I have with both. For some reason, a reboot resets all my apps' setting. This is most in the Launcher (Nova AND Apex, same problem), where all the widgets I have added disappear after every reboot, and my custom keyboard choice, Swiftkey. After every reboot, swiftkey is disabled, and the stock keyboard is back.
Since everything works fine with ICS, I've been thinking maybe there is some security setting or the like that prevents my changes from being saved?
I'd appreciate any ideas - I really like Jelly Bean!

I'm using CM10 Alpha 1 v2 from tbalden and don't have any of this problems. I'm using Trebuchet though, so maybe it's a launcher-based problem?

I just checked. Trebuchet also loses widgets after reboot for me. Is it possible that it's just some apps that aren't JB-ready yet that are reset every time (like Advanced Clock Widget, for example)?

I know, that would have required reading the clearly marked 'Issues' section for the ROM you were about to flash, and that would have been far too much effort.

Dude, thank you. I had read everything before installing the ROM, but then forgot about this after experiencing the issue. I will try this solution immediately!

Happens in the best of families It did get resolved, thank you again. Now that both Apex and Nova are working, I just have to make up my mind which launcher to use ...

[Q] screen blackout while using my galaxy nexus maguro

Hi Devs
I'm from Mumbai India and i'm using galaxy nexus gsm.
It is an awesome phone but lately i'm having problem
My phone screen flashs and blackouts out of nowhere While operating my nexus and than i have to reboot it.
This has been happening from the time when i tried few custom roms (xylon, miui, overdrive, pa, minco v6 and madoco) back to back couple of weeks back. I don't know what is the cause of it and why is it happening.
So guys i need little help here.. Plzz help me fix it.
Right now I'm using baked 7 rom and gapp 4.2.1 12/12/2012.

I believe this is referred to as a Screen of death, or sod. Search the forum, and you may find some answers. Ive heard this is common on 4.2.1, but have yet to deal with it myself. Actually, though, ive had some close calls where the power button will not wake the phone, and i believe ive also seen where the actual issue is waking the phone from sleep..
Actually, I've just noticed that you're using the old gapps as well. The baked downloads page has the new gapps, and perhaps that may help you.

Have you tweaked the kernel options, messed with thecpu clock? Maybe try bringing all of that back to stock.

i had tweaked the kernal options once long back,.. it twisted kernel i guess
