Accidentally flashed ROM of different note ii variant and believe I got a soft brick...
Ive been reading different forums on fixing it and have a good idea how to using Odin but cannot for the life of me find the stock TAR for my device to use in Odin and set my phone back to stock...
could someone direct me to a download and help me unbrick :good:
Thank you
Here you go. If you are still able to boot recovery just flash through the phone but if not then just unzip a tar file and go though Odin.

Thank you just what is was looking for
Well did it work for you?
so I rooted my galaxy note 2 from Sprint with Odin and it said that it was rooted but the superuser would never work so I did a factory reset to make sure that wasn't the problem and it just got stuck on boot loader on the Samsung icon and it never turns on I tried installing the stock firmware for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Odin and every time I got to S.boot it says fail my phone has been stuck like this for about a week now and I have not found anything to fix it I found a thread saying to install an alternate stock firmware without the s.boot file but it was only for Verizon phones I have not found one for the Sprint any help would be highly appreciated

What file were you using?
Without more info I would suggest using odin and flashing a recovery then flashing mc2 stock with counter reset. Dont remember exactly who made it at this moment but scan through development section and you will find it.

It's failing at sboot because you're trying to downgrade on a secured bootloader. You can't downgrade. You can only use the latest stock firmware.
This is the stock 4.3 image for use in Odin http://www.mediafire.com/download/7viivd985s7cp8l/L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.zip
To get into download mode use vol down, home, power. You'll need Odin 3.07 or 3.09. Put this in the PDA or AP tab. DO NOT MESS WITH ANYTHING ELSE IN ODIN.

I know exactly what you need to do, go download this and flash with odin, then flash a custom recovery and flash MC back to stock unrooted

you saved my A$$ thxs
Updated the phone to 4.3 successfully. found out root was killed so i tired CF-auto root via odin. Odin crashed during the process and phone is now bricked. Able to get to download mode but not able to flash any roms or twrp. tired kies emergency firmware recovery which had failed. went to best buy samsung experience to try to reflash with no luck also. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you
Ok. Got a Note 8 from a Pawn Shop for $80. However, I think that it has some software issues and I want to reinstall the stock 4.4.2 and eventually get root without using KingRoot..
Is it possible to wipe and start fresh from Kies? Or should I use ODIN? I downloaded an update.zip, but I'm lost when it comes to Odin.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
I'm afraid there's no way to do that, not without odin flashable 4.4.2 image. All you can find is 4.1.2 flashing which would corrupt the bootloader and put your device in soft-brick.
So something I did went wrong and I'm at a lost to what to do. I tried searching google and here but if someone could point me in the right direction, I would be most greatful.
So I install 6.0.1 using smartswitch which went just fine, but I decided to root it using odin and cf-autoroot, but that seemed to fail and I was stuck in download mode. I manage to exit download mode but it just remains stuck on the samsung logo. I am able to boot into twrp recovery (had installed already from 5.01. root) and I did a factory reset but I'm still stuck.
Any ideas? Any hope?
Update: Got it working buy downloading henklbr stock rom located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...firmware-selection-sm-t700-sm-t2960225/page18 I think I screwed up odin the first time by not having auto-reboot checked. And can I say samsung-updates needs a better download provider, I did not want to wait 8 hours for their download to complete.
If you are reading this because you ran into the same issue, rooting with cf-autoroot still didn't work for me, I ended flashing twrp via odin and and then going into twrp and flashing superuser. Now I have root again.
Just saw you fixed the problem.. may my time wasted rest in peace
Yeah uh last I and others I know checked cf-autoroot does not work with android 6.0.1
Feel free to try this though:
Okay so here is how you can MAYBE fix your T700.
1. Download a firmware or ROM from here or other source: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T700/
2. Download Odin v3.10.6 on your PC.
3. Use Odin to flash the firmware or ROM on your T700. (Don't know how? Try to find a general guide on flashing firmware)
Once you do that feel free to use this root method that works on the T700 running 6.0.1:
http://android-rooters.blogspot.com/2016/10/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-tab-s-84_27.html
yep, just download a TWRP with a TAR extension for ODIN and happy flashing... You can root after installing your Rom. The same can be done if you install the stock ROM before installing TWRP and rooting for debloating.
Thanks anyways ZimriTech, Google lead me to be leave CT auto root would work, lesson learned.
