I have noticed that sometimes the LED is lighting dimly with no valuable reason.
For instance I receive a mail, the LED is lighting normally and 10 mns later I receive another mail and its intensity is weak.
Did anyone have notice such a thing ?

I've looked around a fair bit and haven't found anything, but does anyone know of a good way to get a constant blinking status light on the Rhodium (specifically Tilt2)? My old Kaiser had a blinking green light to indicate network status, which was useful, not only for verifying that the phone was locked onto the cell network, but also for finding the phone at night, or in a pitch black room. Also, there was an excellent tool "kaiser notification" that let you configure all the different lights, and events attached to them.
I know all about the stock ways of adjusting the led notifications (for missed call, new text, new email, etc) but i wanted to know if anyone knows of a tool to customize the led notifications, or of any way to make the light blink continuously when the phone is sleeping, but connected to the cell network.
Thanks in advance for any input!
I was recently going through the phone's settings menu, and in sound and display there is a section called pulse notification light which according to the description, pulses LED light repeatedly for new notifications. I have this checked to do this, but I have never seen the LED pulse for any notifications, whether it be incoming calls, sms, or email. I have checked and unchecked it, rebooted the phone, but to no avail I see no pulse notification.
Am I missing something here?
My phone is totally stock for the OS, and applications.
The notification LED light only blinks if the screen is off and if the notification LED light setting is enabled within their respective applications.
The screen is off, and I don't see any setting within the default messaging app, or the gmail app that says anything about LED notifications. I don't think that is very smart for a smartphone. I hate the phone vibrating while sitting on my desk, I would rather have the LED flashing to notify me of new messages, and/or email.
I'm sorry, there is no LED notification in the settings, bad memory LOL. The LED should work as long as Notifications is checked, although it may be defective, like blinking 5 times when you first receive an email or message, and then blinks sporadically afterwards. It could very well be the case that your LED light is not working and you should go to a repair center to get it checked out.
Ive just noticed my notification LED isnt working, how do i make it work, i have got someone to text me with the screen off, still no led on silent, no led, on vibrate no led. what could be the issue
i had the same problem.
i knew the LED works because it lights up when i get an incoming call. but thats the only time it ever lights up. as soon as the call is missed it goes out, no pulsing light.
i downloaded an app called Light Flow (the free version) and works, as well as giving you much much control on the colour of the light and the different notifications it can be used on
Still cant get missed call led to flash even with light flow
any tips on setup ?
Pulse Notification Option in Settings, Display?? (Android settings that is ;-) )
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
yer its ticked, before and after installing light flow and still nothing
Is more settings for light flow im after, if people say it works for missed call ?
We only get one notification alert for notifications? Is there no way to change this to every minute or five minutes, etc? I have read of an app that will use the light to notify you again of an unread notification, but is that all?
Well Light Flow / Light Flow Lite handles the LED and can continuously notify you and setup repeat alerts. It also does the same for sounds/vibrations, although it gets a bit mucky because it doesn't mesh well with the stock sounds/vibrations. Lots of configuration needed but it will do what you want.
Hi,
How long should last the LED when it's blinking ? SMS received etc...
In my old HTC, I believe it was 5 min.
I am asking the question as when I receive a sms at 1am...it will blink until 6am in the morning....
No really good for my battery even I know it's only a LED...but....
Thanks for your reply.
Cheers,
I miss that option too.
It seems that there is no way to control led blinking time. Led keeps blinking until the missed event is cleared.
I found that better, LED keeps blinking until I check the notification. Hated the 5 mins notification in BlackBerry.
Anyway, you could use Light Manager app, and set sleep time.
Besides, continuous blinking of LED doesn't drain any battery. I often have a SMS or a missed call for more than 4/5 hours, and I never noticed any drain, at all.
