Dodged a bullet yesterday. FreeGee unlock, chose TWRP and then went to flash stock v9 odex. Wiped Cache/Dalvick and then flashed. Upon reboot I saw LG screen then black and nothing. Tried to LGPNST from download mode with LG driver and could not detect phone. After messing around in TWRP for about 2 hours where I performed about every function available (just before throwing the phone into the fireplace), I queued the z9 odex twice let TWRP flash it twice and everything worked. Here's the thing, my wife's phone is incessantly prompting to update, so I need to flash her phone. Should I use clockwork? Anyway to avoid a similar issue and near total bricking of her phone?
Same thing using Clockwork on wife's phone. Now I'm trying everything to get it back. Still have recovery, but unable to complete system reboot. Black screen. Used to flash evo all the time, never an issue. Now I'm 0 for 2 with a miraculous boot and update on my phone. This one doesn't look like I'm going to get as lucky. CWM is a bigger pain too. Frustrated. Not looking forward to lgpnst (still not sure how it all works) and then trying this mess again.
I had a similar problem to yours last night to. Except I didn't really do anything to it. It was just sitting there charging and I took it off the charger and it was doing some kind of boot loop, But every so often it would just stop on a black screen. I lgnpst about six times back but after running root and freegee I would try to get into bootloader and it would do it again. Eventually I tried doing freegee with clockwork instead and it did it again, Than I forced the phone off and pluged it in to my computer to get ready to lgnpst again so I could at least use the phone. All of a sudden I look at the screen and there was a battery charging animation. And then unpluged it and for kicks turned it on and it booted up no problem. Then I tried booting into bootloader and all works now. It was really strange, I did put twrp back though. I like it better then clockwork. I think I sore you asking questions in irc while I was in there asking question to ha.

I had the same thing happen and couldn't figure it out so I took it back to sprint told them I did the update and it messed up so they gave me a new phone for 35 bucks and from now on im staying STOCK.........................
DId you try to lgnpst back yet? That may help you.
-Frank
Frank...yup that's how mine worked. Just not sure how to do this. I don't think my failed lgpnst attempts did anything, b/c mine took the update eventually. I'll keep trying. This phone is so temperamental. Does Shellnut have some input on this problem? I can't figure out why some phones take and others don't when doing the same thing.
Talk to Shelnut2 over pm or find him in irc. I just found out there is a special version of freegee that may fix the problem. I seem to have fixed mine but I sent him a pm asking some questions about the problem. I think you are going to need to lgnpst back. Then root and run the special version of freegee. You have to get it from him because it does some things different that may brick the phone permanently. Thats why you have to ask for it. From what I understand it fixes that kind of problem.
-Frank
I will. I'm going to see if this thing will self correct. Otherwise I will check with him on that. The LGPNST is something I'm not looking fwd to doing.
LGPNST is not detecting phone in dl mode but does detect when in recovery. This SUCKS. Frustrated and out of ideas.
When you installed lgnpst did you install the file that says auto-lgnpst? Also did you run install.bat as administrator?

I've been working on mine for a day and a half. I can't figure out the thing with renaming the ".tot" file to ".bin" because I don't even see a .tot file. After I unzipped the big ZV7 there was only one file without an extension so I can't figure out if thats the one I'm supposed to rename. Can you point me in the right direction?:crying:
[ I figured it out, I had to go into Preferences on my file explorer and set it to show all file types...DUHHH ]
In Windows, go to control panel, file settings, show file extensions. Something like that.

Always backup your phone before tinkering with system files, and experimenting with launchers, kernals etc.
Titanium backup in WORTH the investment to upgrade to PRO.
Rom manager is a good one to boot directly into recovery without fiddling in the fastboot menu. And for backing up settings and roms.
Always KNOW what your doing. lol. sometimes even the big guys forget this. RESEARCH!

Hey guys, I think I screwed up here and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem:
Basically, I had a rooted E4G Touch with a custom ROM installed. I went to install ANOTHER custom ROM THROUGH ODIN, as this previous ROM (I believe it was a Calkulin variant) did NOT have CWM recovery. During the ODIN process, something went wrong, and my computer/ODIN...basically, everything froze up while doing the MODEM portion. NOW I can't do anything.
- CWM was able to install on the thing...but it does not recognize my external SD card now. Every time I try to mount it, I get a "Error mounting /emmc".
- I'm still able to get into download mode on the phone, however the phone is not recognized on any computer I've tried. I've attempted multiple computers/USB cords and nothing picks it up.
I'm running out of ideas here. I picked up a USB jig that should be here soon, so I'm going to try that and reset the counter....which leads me to my next question: If I use that, can I take the thing back to Sprint and get a replacement? I have the insurance plan and everything, so if they won't take it back because of the custom software I guess I could always smash it or something...
Any help would be appreciated!

The ROM you flashed through ODIN was for this phone, right?
What custom ROM are you referring to that was available through ODIN?
assuming you flashed the right ROM, start with the basics..if you can get into download mode then try a simple reboot of your computer. Sometimes Odin won't recognize after it has been run

It was the CyanogenMod 9 rom that is out there right now. IN the post (I'm having trouble finding it as I'm not at that computer right now) they had an ODIN variation for people such as myself, where you were to flash that and then go back through to update it to the latest version.

I attempted this as well Went through and rebooted the computer with the phone plugged in. Rebooted with it not plugged in. Plugged the phone in with ODIN on the screen and started it up. Started it up unplugged, went into download mode on the phone, and then plugged it in. Still nothing.
And I just realized I posted this in General and not Q&A...and chance I could get this moved since I am clearly out of my mind right now?

The only odin component involved with flashing CM9 is flashing a gb kernel with a CWM recovery. I haven't seen a cm9 tar, this is why I'm confused. Finding out exactly what you flashed will help in understanding what the problem is.
To flash cm9 you need to odin a gb cwm kernel and then boot to recovery and install cm9. However, that's not a tar, its an update.zip.

Yeah it was definitely a tar.md5 file, which leads me to believe I was incredibly dumb and possibly flashed a ROM for a different model phone. I'm having difficulty finding the post now which is very strange. This could be one of those moments where I take a good hard look in the mirror and figure out just what the heck I was thinking.
I'll keep looking for what exactly I did wrong, but in the mean time is there anything else I could attempt or look for short of attempting that USB jig and making a trip to Sprint? I'm feeling like a huge idiot right now. I've done this how many times now and when I finally make a mistake, it turns out to be huge.

Well ultimately you can try uninstalling / reinstalling drivers. But you say this issue exists across multiple pcs so that likely isn't it.
You can try another cable and see if you have any success with that.
Other then that, it kinda really depends what is in that tar you flashed. Once you find it, post the link, and that will help troubleshoot your issue.

Negative, I started right at the "Using the noob-proof ODIN method:". It said noob-proof and I decided that would be the easiest. It turns out it is very easy...if you're flashing to the correct phone Plus, I'd used ODIN before and felt comfortable with it.
Ha ha that's the first one for this method......look up jtag they may fix it for u if u don't have USB .... About 60 with shipping

I just downloaded the tar to have a look at whats included.
After flashing this you'll have a bootloader for the intl. sgs2. This is a problem many ran into when original SGS2 leaked tars started surfacing as well.
JTAG might be able to fix it, I'm not sure whether people with this issue were successful or not with JTAG repair as the intl gs2 flashing boat seems to have sailed now. However, a jig will likely do nothing, unfortunately.

Ok thank you for your help on this. You don't think a jig will reset the counter or anything so that I can take it back to Sprint? If not, I'm not above "dropping" it on the ground and using the insurance I have on it for a replacement.

I don't foresee it working only because your phone isn't recognized by your pc and the problem doesnt lie on the pc side.
The problem is instead with the port on the phone which leads me to believe it won't recognize a jig either.
A jtag if successful will leave you with more money in your pocket and a non-returb. Something to consider if you've got a backup phone you can use for a few days.

I don't see sprint replacing it with cm9 On it .... And u will need mobile Odin to get back to stock but with it not mounting the Emmc probably can't do that .... That is your hope to get back to stock using mobile Odin someway .... Triangle away app will reset Odin count but with no radio you need to get apps to do it and no sd from what u said ...maybe tell insurance u lost it and get it replaced
Jtag should work also since there is no emmc failure like the blue light of death bricks ...

Ok wasn't sure if I should post this in Q&A or Dev... but since it's a question:
"Can anyone help with this?" ..
Here's the situation.
Sprint Galaxy S3.. using Blazer ROM 1.6
Team Epic Recovery (non-touch), don't recall exact version
Everything has been fine the last week or so.
I changed 2 things earlier today:
1) Using NFC Task Manager, I enabled "NFC during AirPlane mode" after which it asked me to reboot. I did not at that moment...
2) I modified build.prop to change the default alarm ringtone.
I also did not reboot as I was about to make some other changes...
Since I'm at work, I got sidetracked, but noticed something since the phone was on my desk face up. It suddenly rebooted on it's own.
No big deal, I had thought... except it never came back on.
And now.. It won't boot up at all. I cannot go into recovery either!!
I CAN go into download mode... so I did so and tried to reflash recovery.
Still unable to boot up or go into recovery..(Phone flashes the samsung logo , then disappears forever).
I'm attempting to download the stock ROM via the toolkit and see if that will fix things, but without recovery I'm pretty sure nothing is going to work.
Has anyone seen something like this before? Where it will go into download mode but NOT recovery?
Try flashing the stock tar in odin if nothing else works.

Just flash the stock tar ur downloading in Odin. Ur fine even if you managed to Bork recovery as long as u can still get into dl mode ur ok
I've haven't seen this problem on the Sprint variant yet but it definitly sounds like it's fixable
Like others have pointed out, since you can get into Download mode fine flash the Stock Odin tar file found here
When you boot up I would consider doing a data wipe (Factory Reset option in Settings>Back up and reset) but that's up to you
Yep.. that stock ROM fixed it... now to 're-root' and reapply my ROM... fun fun fun.
I'm thinking that the build.prop change must have caused it.. will be testing that over the weekend to be sure

So far all is working and I didn't even have to wipe the data (actually couldn't at first because I couldn't get into recovery hehe) , and I'm guessing the build prop must have been because I did it on the device, and 'maybe' I hit a stray key or something.. usually I edit at home and push it to the phone but I was in sort of a hurry.
WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!
As I watched it attempt to boot up each time, I kept coming up with different excuses to try to tell the Sprint store

Hello all,
I am facing problems with my SIII right now. I was running AOKP but due to the bluetooth not being able to sync with my stereo, I decided to go back to stock rooted. I just flashed back the stock rooted image using Odin, but now my phone sits at the Samsung screen with the blue notification light on. I have tried rebooting, and it gets to this point (after the rethink possible screen) and just sits. I am thinking another flash in Odin is in order? Is there a stock, non root image I can flash via odin? I am just really lost for ideas right now and any input would be appreciated! Thanks!
Update:
I tried flashing with odin again and this time I got a failed. It was in the process of flashing the "system". I am kinda starting to freak out. I am hoping that it's just the file I'm using (though it just worked not even a few days ago.) I am trying again and if this one bombs out, I think I am going to try a different file. The one I am downloading to try next is the "stock unroot" from the how-to video. Anyone have any luck with this?
Another Update:
I just re-flashed with odin, this time it says it successfully completed but once again it's stuck at the flashing Samsung logo with the indicator led on.... I am starting to really freak out lol. I have another file downloading that is supposedly just stock, no root or anything...

I've always noticed the LED being on during boot (or some of the boot) and it was also on when I had a bootloop during cm9 so I don't think it means anything.
Fair enough, I guess I never paid that much attention till now when things don't work heh. I do recall reading about someone else having the similar issue using odin...I am trying to find the post and if there was any follow up on it.

Correction : Used that link you had posted, it was still stuck so I loaded up the toolkit and used option 20 for reboot options to force it into default recovery, wiped data & cache from there and let it reboot, it seemed to have hung but waited a few minutes and it came back to life. Back to complete stock here now, hope it works for you.

Should have explained a bit better. Yes that toolkit
While it was stuck at samsung screen.
1 For AT&T (Obviously)
20 For reboot options
1 For recovery.
Then wipe data/cache
Then wiped cache (no idea why)
then rebooted.
When i did an Odin to stock I also froze on the Samsung logo. I had to boot to recovery and do a factory reset I side recovery to get it to boot. Keep in mind everything will be deleted though

That is exelent. I am downloading the toolkit right now and will report back shortly.
Once you got it to boot, did you still have root? I am wondering if you flashing the "stock rom" that I posted, if that had any impact. I have only pushed the root66 file, so I am expecting root when(if XD) I get this thing going again. I appreciate you being more thorough with your instructions, and will report back with my results as soon as I get some
Also, are we loners on this? I am not seeing any other posts about going back to stock/stock rooted from modded roms using odin? I am trying to figure out the best method to go back to stock. I made a nandroid and I am sure that would work, but all of this word about having to flash different kernels and bluetooth/wifi drivers to get stock working properly makes me wonder if just using odin is the easiest method, as it restores everything on the phone (to my knowledge).

That is great, this may sound a little silly, but how do I boot to recovery? Thanks!
UPDATE:Nvm, google hehe. I just did the factory reset...Things are looking good so far, the haptic lights turned on at least...BOOM! We are good gentlemen. It looks like all it took was the recovery wipe. This is great news! I will try to figure out how to mark this as solved, and you crash822, you get a thanks
NP sir. We all have to start somewhere. Luckily for me I was already planning on doing a full wipe so I backed up everything I wanted to keep from my phone onto my computer before using odin.
I seem to be having the same issue. I've downloaded the toolkit as you guys have suggested. are you guys in download mode on the phone while you use this? it seems to want me to be in debugging mode and i can't get to that. I've tried a factory reset with no luck.
ive tried the lg flash tool with both the files it worked before last time i got soft bricked well i flashed that stock kit kat for the f whatever series that is on the e980 dev it flashed a diff recovery on my phone now i cant get to revcovery and download mode fails after it not being a e890 device anymore sorry i have been up all night trying to fix this and now im completly stuck.download mode fails after it not being a e890 device anymore sorry i have been up all night trying to fix this and now im completly stuck. download failed 5 sec says the pid number imei number and then device model is different check phone or dll f0000002
What Rom did you install the stock 4.4 zdk or the sphinx 4.4 flashable Rom?

i flashed the sphinx 4.4 flashable Rom idk why it installed a recovery with it couldnt see sd card then when tried flashing another e980 rom it wouldnt let me said i had the wrong device or something idk im pissed about to smash it

i was on a cwm before but it ended up flashing a new one and thats when i started having problems now no recovery stuck at lg logo and i know my battery is low
The first thing I would do is pull your battery, wait a few minutes, put the battery back in and connect the charging cable. It may not want to boot but it will charge the battery while the phone is off. Get your battery charged first, then worry about getting it up and running again.
Keep in mind I'm not picking at you or anyone. But why would someone choose to flash a Rom designed for one version to another version? I know our devs make tweaks to allow one to run on the other but it's a chance I wouldn't take. If you have the E980, stick to E980 Roms. It's risky enough flashing Roms as it is because no two devices are the same. You know what I mean? And don't smash you phone. There are many smart people here that can get you up and running again. Smash the phone and you will be upset with yourself later....trust me. I did it and I was pissed at myself later when I found out it was easy to fix....stay calm....lol
i know i knew i should not have idk ive been flashing zips for a very long time guess it happened to still get the best of me even though i read through the thread and i seen a couple e980 users saying it worked haha well not for me i just hope i can get her back up and going soft bricks are ok its when i cant fix this that makes me crazy. slammed around my dual monitors and almost went after my evga build which would not have been good. Man i can not thank u enough i even had to make another account my old one was lows10 and i guess it was inactive for to long but been here since 07 only place i trust to exploit my devices.
Well I'm not the smartest person here. I just got this phone about a month ago and I haven't even got flashing it back to stock down pat yet. It's a work in progress....lol. But just get your battery charged for now. Then you will most likely have to flash it back to stock. I don't know if you have done this process yet on that phone but if you have then you know basically what you need to do. Just don't go flashing any more Roms made for other versions of the g pro....lol
this will be my 3rd time flashing back to stock but with my phone not being read as a e980 i cant get back to stock.
Did you use the Lg Flash Tools method?
Yes lg flash tool has worked perfect until now after that ROM
Sent from my d2lte using xda app-developers app
Ok. Give this method a try....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459825....I don't know if it will work for ya as it didn't work for me. But hey, you gotta try something and maybe you will get luck and it will work for you. Give it a go and see what happens.
Lol idk it thinks its a g2 then it FCS

Tricky bugger it's gonna be ah? Did you try running it in Administrator mode? Be sure to follow the steps exactly as he lays them out.
Well in the left it says lge988at maybe thats why it isnt working with the lg flash? Grrrr idk this sucks and it keeps stopping working and its not in english
It has to be on com 41. I have noticed the lg flash tools method can be hit and miss with allot of people. I finally got it down pat enough to get it to work every time. You could try doing it this way........http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476........He gives a link to a newer lg flash tools. Maybe you will have better results.
damn it still closes with that its right after it gets done loading my phone i guess i cant flash a e988 stock and see if that works? thats what it reads it as right before it closes idk maybe its cause 8.1 but dont think so the app doesnt even open in english idk seems like everyone elses is.
Honestly I don't know why it isn't in English. It is for me but I'm on the stock E980 FW. All I can think is you, somehow, flashed the Korean version of the F240. Just as a precaution I keep a flashable stock 10k on my sd card just in case the need for it arises. But not being able to get into recovery isn't helping your cause here. Keep an eye on the battery as well. If it starts draining down too far just power it off and let it charge more so you don't get so involved with the phone you forget. The problem for me is I'm more of a hands-on person. it's harder for this type of person to walk someone through fixing a gadget.....lol.
An honestly man, I don't know how else to help you. Hopefully someone allot smarter than me is gonna come along any minute now that will know exactly how to fix this issue. All I can suggest now is to keep searching the forum for this type of problem and find a solution. Just don't lose your temper or give up. The solution is here somewhere. I'll search around too. See what I can dig up.
exactly what i thought man ahhh and idk why its not in english either i mean im on my pc there should be no reason for it not to work. Idk I appreciate all your help. havent been in trouble like this since back years and years ago on the old first gen g1 hahahah. and ya flashing the Korean version of the F240 is what i did i really hope there is a way to fix this i had a backup but external sd card quit working so tranfered it on the phone when it still worked flashed back seemed fine went to try flash the e980 baseband and still no good now im just stuck. tempted to try and see if the e988 will work since it wont flash the stock e980 sorry for keep on talking im just going crazy.
It's all good man. I understand your frustration. I have been doing this for a long time now as well. Most of my experience is with moto's and Samsungs. Now I'm learning all over again with another phone myself. But anywho, yeah, give that a try. Flash the e988 if you can. At least if it works you can get into your recovery and sd card to try and flash it back to stock from there and be back on the E980 fw. It's like going around your ass to get to your elbow but hey, if it works who cares right?.....lol. And if you get it working again I suggest putting a flashable stock zip on your sd card just in case. But as I said before, It doesn't help if you cant get into recovery. But when you can it can be a life saver.
I do remember reading there are permission issues if you're running windows 8 or 8.1 on that last method I linked you to. You may want to look into how to overcome that issue and try again. If you haven't already that is.
Hmm at least it says e980 now but can't get past this

Rooted Sprint Galaxy S6 on Lollipop 5.1.1 with Teamwin recovery
http://tiribulus.net/pix/Phone/1.png
http://tiribulus.net/pix/Phone/2.png
Sporadically lags a bit everywhere, but I cannot receive incoming calls. I use another phone to test and it rings on the calling phone several times, goes to my voicemail and THEN rings on my phone and of course can't be answered. It just hangs there all greyed out until I hang up and takes like 20 seconds for the phone app to disappear. Other times it doesn't even ring at all on my phone. I can make outgoing calls.
The Sprint support guy took me through re-provisioning the phone with some dial pad codes, he did something to the SIM card too , I've uninstalled Drupe (which has been great) and reinstalled it. Tried both when on and off the phone. No difference
Wiped both the cache partition and the davlik cache.
This started a couple days ago when the phone rebooted ITSELF without my touching it and then booted back up into an error that said "Unfortunately, NetworkSystemProvider has stopped.". Couldn't do anything. Tapping OK made it go away for half a second and it was back. A friend of mine managed to get some Sprint specific thing either disabled or yanked and the error went away. Everything seemed to be fine. I'm not sure when the phone issue started exactly or even if it's related to that situation or not. I just noticed today that someone was calling me and I couldn't answer. (I do most of my communications online and don't get that many phone calls, but the ones I do get are very important)
Oh yeah, I reseated the SIM after an error saying there wasn't one after the Sprint guy sent some info to it and that went away.
i am at total loss here. The Sprint guy of course wants to wipe the phone. That would be a monstrous drag for all the reasons you guys already know for a phone that has been working great for over a year like it is.
Please be my new hero and tell me what to do if anybody knows. I have good PC skills and SOME with Android, but this is beyond me.
Thank you SO much.
It also keeps re-sending me old txts
The Sprint store gave me a new SIM card and that didn't fix it either. Restoring a TWRP full image restore from April didn't fix it. A factory wipe in Teamwin recovery didn't fix it. Same exact symptoms no matter what I do.
Ring ring ring ring ring on the calling phone, it finally rings on mine, but is already in voicemail on the calling phone. Once in a GREAT while it will ring just a bit earlier on mine and it will flutter between being greyed out on the answer screen (all the options like speaker etc) and eventually connect the call after a second or two. Nobody I can find has ever seen anything like this. This S6 was working absolutely flawlessly for well over a year.
It also appears I am not usually getting incoming txt messages either, but I am getting only certain old ones repeatedly. Sometimes old voicemails too. It's almost more like it's a remote server issue somewhere.
I hate to say it, but it sounds like your phone is failing and will need to be replaced. But before you do that, here is a relatively easy thing to try:
Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...uide-links-files-update-root-restore-t3366862
Using Odin, flash the latest firmware. You are at 5.11, the latest is 6.01. That will restore you to stock OS, take away root and TWRP, but you'll be able to restore those. You shouldn't have any data loss.
Once that is done, go to Settings and System Update and then Update PRL and Profile. See if that solves it. If it does, you can quickly Root and Recovery again.
Good luck!

TWRP (or Teamwin if you like) won't be an issue. Download Odin on your PC, download the zipped TAR file in the first post of my link. Extract the .MD5 in the zip to the same directory as Odin (you don't really have to, this is just convenient. Install the latest Samsung drivers to your PC, make sure that your computer recognizes the phone. Put the phone into Download mode. (Hold the Volume Down, Home and Power buttons at the same time.) Plug the phone into your computer. If the com light lights up in Odin, you are good to go. Flash the TAR using the AP slot in Odin.
This sounds like a lot, but it is easier to do than for me to tell you. But WAIT! In my linked post, there is a video that will walk you through it all!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv0BnfpNxEs
How easy is that? The only thing that Tim says that is no longer true is that data won't be wiped by default.
OOPS WROTE THIS BEFORE I SAW YOU REPLIED LEMME LOOK
I'm sorry man. I'm actually a seasoned PC support guy. I know I'm being a pain. I don't have muich experience with these phones though and it's been 14 months since I flashed this one. I don't know what most of that means over there.
I don't have the regular recovery. I have Teamwin. There IS an ADB side load function in there. Is that what I use in place of the regular download mode? If so, won't that leave Teamwion on the phone since that's what I'm using? Sprint won't give me another one while it's on there.
How do I know if Odin is seeing the phone? It doesn't appear to act like it knows my phone is attached to the computer. Does it have to be in download mode that I'm trying to find out how to get into here
Forgive my abject ignorance please.

Here is where I'm lost. Holding the three buttons does not give me an option for download that I can find. It puts me in the Teamwin interface.

Could you be holding the Volume Up button, not the Volume Down button by mistake?
Doesn't matter. If you are in TWRP and you select "Reboot" one of the options should be Download. That will do the same thing for you.
You can also install something like this (if you are rooted) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jc.rebootmanager
And one last thing. You need to have your phone in Download mode to be seen by Odin.
Oh goodness me!! I AM A MORON!!
I have been using the volume UP and other two buttons. Not down LOL! For Pete's sake. Aren't I jist a ninny
Let's try this now

Yes, that's what I was doing
It is restarting now, but didn't actually erase anything. It looks like it just upgraded to Marshmallow. However, I am being barraged with txt messages so maybe it fixed it. I'll let you know. Thank you very much for your patience.
That fixed it!!! The phone works!!! I didn't even lose any of my data or pix or contacts or anything.
Now all I gotta do is get ROOT back and TWRP reinstalled.
Thank YOU sir!! The other fella too. His instructions probably would have worked if I had pressing the right button.

What I don't understand is why a known good TWRP recovery from months ago didn't fix it, but an OS upgrade did. You'd think that both should work or not. Its' the same phone and a full backup from when it worked fine. Oh well. I'm just glad it did work.
X-Posed?
While I have you here. You don't happen to have a guide for installing X-Posed on this phone do you? I have the zip installed from TWRP, but when I go to install the APK from within the OS I get what you see in this screen and the guy who's guide I was following doesn't respond. It occurred to me that koop1955 might know. Thanks. Even if you don't.
