It would help to get more info on what you flashed and how you flashed it. Perhaps it's one of those wipe things or what not? Or restoring an app?
I get 'baseband unknown' on a few ROMs that I test flashed. I got it on JMT when I flashed it recently.
So you have to restore from the NAND backup just to get the phone working?
hi guys, i flashed the lte modem on my phone and it seems that its wiped out my efs folders, ive been trying to restore my efs folder with nvtools and qpst, neither seems to work since somehow dm mode is not responding to them
any solns? ty in advance for any help
a couple of things:
ive already odin'd back to stock, no luck on restoring efs(perhaps im doing something wrong?) i dialed *#7284# and put it into the RNDIS+DM+MODEM mode, nvtools says phone failed to answer while QPST says that comm7(the samsung serial port) is not a phone
its pretty had to do this since the phone is rebooting itself every other minute

Been there, sucks. For me to get out of the constant restarts I had to flash the lte modem again. Flash stock (odin) flashed cwm (odin), put the modem on my external sd card and flashed that.At least that way I could work on it a little. And below is basically what I did to finally get it to work. Hard to say all my steps as I was trying everything.
Well I dont really know how I got mine back to life, tried all the standard stuff from the threads, got my imei back but had no network, network type, service nothing helped. last resort I said whatever ill try anything now. Came across this
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...3g4g-aws-bands-on-att-galaxy-note-2-sgh-i317/
whatever it did it restored everything (cold see carrier, network, etc)but corrupted imei, next i followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
If you need this is a complete no imei nv backup I used before flashing my imei with the generator
http://db.tt/4hunZ7qy
used the imei generator, then the writer (link on post does not work for the imei generator,so found it here
http://d-h.st/vVV
Wrote my imei back and presto, back in action. Fully functional again, including 4G
Like I said this was a last resort, but worked

got it fixed on friday, was so tired that i went to sleep
basically i followed someone's post on the forum(forgot name) and flashed the tmo modem, since the mct one always gave me the bootloop, then i enabled DM mode and finally got nv tools/qpst to recognize my phone, it appears that the issue was that the drivers does not recognize the new modems..
anyway, once i was done restoring nv, i flashed the tmo lte modem and paranoid android
now i have my imei back and i can use lte
although my bluetooth address still says unknown..not sure if normal
My bluetooth also says unavailable, I would think if you are not hooked up to bluetooth then it should say unavailable. Im to scared to flash the tmo lte modem again...
Hello,
i am back again with a new problem!
All the previous problems that was mentioned in this forum is GONE. i was a happy owner. Until i got this problem.
so i wanted to try new Modem, just so i can increase my Signal, and right now, my data plan is keep going on and off, and most the time i can't get it connected it.
i did the wipe date /factory reset from the ROM manager, and wipe cache and dalvik. and yet the problem is not solved.
right now, am running cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL
and the Modem am currently running which sometimes works ( I747MVLDLK4 ) am with Rogers, Canada, Edmonton, AB
If anyone helped me out with this, your next coffee is on me! for real!
anyone?
When I have Wifi or Signal/Data issues, I just Odin back to stock and then re-root & flash ROM again. Works every time.

Did you use ODIN to flash the stock ROM and factory reset in stock recovery ?

Yes! i think i did a mistake. While i restored to the stock rom, The baseband that i was using it was I747MVLDLK4 and not the STOCK modem. So maybe that is why its not getting connected? am trying to apply the stock modem into the the stock rom, but its giving me Fail error.
am just scratching my head right now to be quite honest and this close to throw my cellphone outside of the balcony.

What type of fail error?
How are you trying to flash it?
i managed to make my modem into the stock version. However am just getting "E" in my data connection. Reminder am still in STOCK ROM and stock modem now. is that a good sign that i slighty getting everything back??
should i just install the CM 10.1 now and see the results or what you guys recommend?
annnnnnnnnd my " E" is gone.. Beautiful
do you guys think it might be a actual physical sim card issue?
UPDATE: i restored my phone into the stock rom by Odin3 and now i just re flashed the Cm 10.1 again. sadly i still have no connection and my income and outcome for calling and texts is also not working.
please help!
Try flashing Task's AOKP and see if you have the same issue. Additionally, try deleting the current APNs (access point names) and manually enter the APN settings for your carrier. Could also just be a faulty SIM card as you mentioned.

You have your imei still ? I don't see that mentioned.... this sounds like that issue. flashing between TW and Custom it can happen
Thanks guys for the feedback, but i have managed to fix the problem, this post was before i know that i lost my IMEI...
All good now, everything has be resolved.
cheers,
Greetings Folks,
Yesterday, I was trying to install the Resurrection Remix Kitkat ROM on my GT-i9082, and it got installed fine, but I wasn't getting any network, no network bars. So I tried that SIM in another phone, and it works fine. That thread said that this might happen, and I may need to flash another modem, which I did, but still nogo. Here is the loist of 3 different modems which I tried:-
I9082XXUBML1 (INU)
I9082XXUBMK3 (INU)
I9082XXUBMJ3 (INU)
I had taken a ROM backup through ROM Manager before flashing the new ROM, so I tried to restore that backup. Restore completed, and I could now see some network bars, but I still couldn't make calls/sms. I noticed that my IMEI number was coming up all garbled, which is probably why I can see signal bars, but can't make any calls/sms. I tried a different SIM in this phone too, and same issue. I have 2 old ROM backups taken from ROM Manager when the phone was working fine, but no separate EFS backups taken, as I wasn't even aware what EFS was until now. I know what the IMEI number is for both the SIM slots. Is there any way I can fix this?
EDIT:- The funny part is, in the status bar, I can see an "Insert SIM" icon, as well as full Network bars, even though there is no SIM inserted in either slots. Sounds fishy?

the same problem
I had the same problem after flash any custom rom the network working and the calls /sms not worked . this problem disappear after flashing official rom.
so here's the deal:
my phone no longer recognizes my sim card. at first i thought it was an OS problem. but i flashed the stock. and nothing happened.
i tried re-rooting. but nothing happened.
i searched about it and found out that a lot of people have been dealing with this problem and might be a hardware fault. so i bought a replacement and had it replaced. (redundant) haha.
so anyway after getting it back. trying multiple other sim cards. it still isnt working. and right now im flashing it back again to a stock rom.
if anyone has any ideas. any at all. please. post them. one is better than none.
Check your Imei no. By dialing *#06#.
Does it show your real imei no.?
If no, corrupt efs could be the reason for not showing the network
