It would help to get more info on what you flashed and how you flashed it. Perhaps it's one of those wipe things or what not? Or restoring an app?
I get 'baseband unknown' on a few ROMs that I test flashed. I got it on JMT when I flashed it recently.
So you have to restore from the NAND backup just to get the phone working?

[CDMA] Can't Activate Phone

So I recently attempted to flash CM10 to my phone and I think it royally screwed everything up. After messing around with JB for a bit (no working data) I decided to flash back to stock and stay there for a bit. Well, once the flashing was done, I attempted to activate my phone, and it kept failing. Tried re-flashing just to be safe, and it failed again.
I then tried restoring from a nandroid I had, hoping it would restore service like it normally does. But it didn't. It showed my phone as unactivated. I was still unable to activate my phone. D:
I looked in About Phone > Status and my MDN and MIN were screwed up. My phone number displayed as "000-000-5472" and the MIN was all 0's. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
Might Help
I also did the same thing a while back when i tried out the UK Firmware and when i flashed back with the stock Verizon firmware it erased my phone number and a lot of other stuff but here is a link from a while back explaining how to change your phone number back it worked for me but i never got my 3G working right some info will be different I have the C Spire R800x.

Good Luck
U need to flash the baseband to stock baseband as well as the firmware, and re activate your phone
Happen to me when i flash new baseband and kernel to my R800x
Can't activate since the prl was not loaded properly and i can't get through activation process (ics glitch)
End up flashing to stock, re-inject and activate. Then restore the new ROM via nandroid. This way the phone stay in activated state.
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
When you flash a baseband before installing a rom, activate your phone on the stock firmware first, then install the rom. Same happened to me but I couldn't see the numberpad.

restoring efs with nvtools/qpst

hi guys, i flashed the lte modem on my phone and it seems that its wiped out my efs folders, ive been trying to restore my efs folder with nvtools and qpst, neither seems to work since somehow dm mode is not responding to them
any solns? ty in advance for any help
a couple of things:
ive already odin'd back to stock, no luck on restoring efs(perhaps im doing something wrong?) i dialed *#7284# and put it into the RNDIS+DM+MODEM mode, nvtools says phone failed to answer while QPST says that comm7(the samsung serial port) is not a phone
its pretty had to do this since the phone is rebooting itself every other minute
Questions and help issues go in Q&A
Thread moved
Thanks
FNM
Been there, sucks. For me to get out of the constant restarts I had to flash the lte modem again. Flash stock (odin) flashed cwm (odin), put the modem on my external sd card and flashed that.At least that way I could work on it a little. And below is basically what I did to finally get it to work. Hard to say all my steps as I was trying everything.
Well I dont really know how I got mine back to life, tried all the standard stuff from the threads, got my imei back but had no network, network type, service nothing helped. last resort I said whatever ill try anything now. Came across this
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...3g4g-aws-bands-on-att-galaxy-note-2-sgh-i317/
whatever it did it restored everything (cold see carrier, network, etc)but corrupted imei, next i followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
If you need this is a complete no imei nv backup I used before flashing my imei with the generator
http://db.tt/4hunZ7qy
used the imei generator, then the writer (link on post does not work for the imei generator,so found it here
http://d-h.st/vVV
Wrote my imei back and presto, back in action. Fully functional again, including 4G
Like I said this was a last resort, but worked

Let me guess. You've git a Canadian phone

+1
got it fixed on friday, was so tired that i went to sleep
basically i followed someone's post on the forum(forgot name) and flashed the tmo modem, since the mct one always gave me the bootloop, then i enabled DM mode and finally got nv tools/qpst to recognize my phone, it appears that the issue was that the drivers does not recognize the new modems..
anyway, once i was done restoring nv, i flashed the tmo lte modem and paranoid android
now i have my imei back and i can use lte
although my bluetooth address still says unknown..not sure if normal
My bluetooth also says unavailable, I would think if you are not hooked up to bluetooth then it should say unavailable. Im to scared to flash the tmo lte modem again...

T989D Wont accept any carrier sim cards, IMEI unknown, Baseband Unknown

Currently having this issue with my friends t989d. It happened after a factory wipe and after it booted bad into android before you can even register it, the launcher just hangs and freezes. you can swipe to get to the notification bar but thats it. I flashed a telus image through odin and can boot into android so i can see under the about screen that the imei and baseband is unknown. I've seen this issue on a few other forums but no resolution. Has anyone come back from this before? Could is possibly be a corrupted EFS Folder?
Thanks

Maybe you have to manually flash the telus modem to get it to recognize it. Seems like a radio issue

I lost my IMEI and baseband version when i tried loading the literom onto my phone. I tried restoring/repairing through the EFS Professional application but had no luck. I then tried flashing dman's rooted (UCLJ3) rom. The install went fine and when i booted there was No IMEI again. I tried pulling the battery and restarted again and voila it was all there all of a sudden . I have no idea how that happened but am really glad that i am able to use the phone.
See this link for the rom I flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994902
Oh and I've the At&t version and not the Rogers one.

So you didn't delete your /efs. It wouldn't magically appear again, deleted is deleted.
However, I had a similar case yesterday. I first run my phone and it told me to shutdown and insert SIM card. I inserted a SIM card without shutting down. After some time I realized I can't call. "About Phone" said IMEI is unknown. Restarting the phone didn't change it. But shutting down and removing the battery did. This is just my guess that this inserting a SIM card on-line was the cause of the problem. @tanmayk, maybe you did the same?

I know it can't magically reappear. And I am not entirely sure if the /efs folder was corrupted or the folder was deleted!!
I had tried flashing the liteRom when i got null/unknown(got both) IMEI errors. I tried flashing every other possible rom to get it back but it didn't help.
Even now when i try to flash the PAC-man nightlies I end up with Null IMEI and the only way I am able to get it back is going to Dman's rooted stock UCLJ3 rom.
If only I could get PAC-man nightlies running on the phone....

But did you do a clean install ? Or did you just freaked out and started flashing one ROM over the other without wiping anything ?

Wiped and did a clean install..tried dirty installs..but NOTHING has worked ! Just tried the most recent PAC build and i again have no IMEI :crying: :crying:
You won't have IMEI again without the files. Reflash stock rom, go to SSC and tell them you can't make calls.

I am able to get it back when I flash back to dman's UCLJ3 rom!

No sim card Problem.

so here's the deal:
my phone no longer recognizes my sim card. at first i thought it was an OS problem. but i flashed the stock. and nothing happened.
i tried re-rooting. but nothing happened.
i searched about it and found out that a lot of people have been dealing with this problem and might be a hardware fault. so i bought a replacement and had it replaced. (redundant) haha.
so anyway after getting it back. trying multiple other sim cards. it still isnt working. and right now im flashing it back again to a stock rom.
if anyone has any ideas. any at all. please. post them. one is better than none.
Check your Imei no. By dialing *#06#.
Does it show your real imei no.?
If no, corrupt efs could be the reason for not showing the network

Update:
so i tried rooting. and flashing new modems? still doesnt work. also please note that it seems super SU isnt working either. i do have the philz custom recovery working. i used the philz recovery to root it then Dr.ketans multitool to flash philz and TWRP to root it. but it seems that it isnt working right.
