[Q] No fastboot mode, Flashtool gives Bad TA Config... help - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I own a prototype AT&T play, the bootloader was unlocked but it was still sim lock to AT&T. I used wotan server to attempt to unlock sim but it was a no go (oddly)
Later I read a post where someone used omnious. So i bought some credits and used omnious and it failed repeatedly, and the error it was giving was "Bad TA Config".
Now I can no longer get into fastboot, everything I do results in a green light instead of blue. Any help?
Side note, I do not have a TA backup for this device.. is this phone permanently screwed?
Also, now when I attempt to use wotan servers unlock tool it says " No IMEI found"...

I searched and found this, don't know if this helps
Your fastboot is locked. Branded phones have fastboot locked.
You will need to pay to unlock fastboot. Find someone who have setool box.

I should probably clarify, I had fastboot access prior to this issue. Bootloader was unlocked and I had fastboot access, only the sim was still locked. However as a result of attempting to unlock the sim (as it was a prototype AT&T did not have a unlock code for the sim) my IMEI number for this phone is gone, and will not power on and will not enter fastboot mode.
I PMd alejandrissimo but have not had a reply.

Alejandrismmo has a site where you can unlock bootloader (you pay first). The real question was the prototype working on at&t service before. Your xperia play might be a barebones phone (nonserviceable).

I received photos on request from the seller, very reputable on eBay. The images were time stamped for 5 minutes after I emailed him and showed it powering on, powering off, and several photos of homescreens and apps, all showing AT&T in the top right.
Will the unlock-bootloader.com fix my phone bad TA file? Currently it shows up as no IMEI # in several softwares.. and again will not power on or access fastboot.. despite having this before..
Edit: I as on the site you provided earlier and fixing a bad TA is listed as "contact us"....... which I have both through the site and through PM and a gtalk chat invite

Got a hold of Alejandrissimo, this guy is freaking awesome. Fixed my phone......in minutes... this guy was a life saver... Thank you Alejandrissimo...

Dialer Codes Not Working

Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (SM-G988U) from Verizon Wireless. I am not from the US, I got the phone from a guy who bought in the US.
I am currently in Romania using Vodafone SIM card (Idk if this is relevant but thought I should give as much info as possible).
The thing is, no dialer code works, *#06# for IMEI code, *#0*#, *#*#88#*#* and all the other ones. It either says invalid code or something like that or "UNKNOWN APPLICATION".
I am running original unrooted firmware Android 11 One UI 3.0 (G988USQU1CTL4).
Is there anything I can do to solve this? And is there a way to get rid of the Verizon stuff without rooting? (like changing CSC or something I don't know I'm not all that knowledgeable regarding this stuff, I just read the stuff posted on the forums)

Not sure if it will work. But try downloading the Google Phone Dialer and see if they work in that app.
I get the same errors with the Google Phone app too.
Codes won't work if the BL is unlocked or rooted.
Happened on my old S9
At least read the whole post before replying , I am running completely original unrooted software. Didn't touch a thing on it.
Didn't mean to make it sound passive aggressive, just frustrated with the whole thing.

Can't flash ROm with odin - S20+

Hi everyone,
I'v got a S20+ 5G but the old's owner can't give me his google account so my phone is locked.
I tried to fix it by flashing the ROM but when odin told me success, the phone was still locked by this google account.
I would like to try an other firmware but the bootload has changed and now i can't try again the method with odin.
Check the picture of the new bootloader.
What can i do ?
Thanks for your help !

can you enter download mode ? The way you enter download mode has changed so you need to power off this phone then press and hold both + and - volume buttons and then while holding these 2 keys connect usb C cable to your phone and hold till you will see blue screen. Oh and make sure that your cable is connected to usb on your PC first, then connect it to phone
Ho my god ! Your method give me access to download mode ! Thank you for that
Furthermore, do you think that the google account will disapear ?
nope, flashing different firmwares will not remove lock that would be too easy
So, is there any way to bypass the google account ?
it depends which firmware have you flashed, each month there is a security update and old methods are patched and it is getting harder and harder i think the fastest and easiest way is to ask previous owner for password or return the phone, once I bought s10 and it was locked same as your's but there was possibility to enter previous owner lock screen passcode to unlock google lock and he gave me this code and it worked, check if you can enter previous owner passcode instead of his email and password

Add Account and Device in Mi Unlock Status says Request parameter error

I've tried everything, please help.. I factory reset a few times, used a VPN, turned on Find device and sync (except SMS and phone because it won't activate my SIM), USB debugging, OEM unlock are all on and it's still the same. Of course I've waited about two weeks... It's on MIUI 12.0.6.0 Global and won't check for updates (says can't connect to network) I'm pretty sure something about its IMEI or something is broken too but IDK how to fix it. I'd love to get some help please
How many hours did it tell you to wait for unlocking?
Are you 100% sure the drivers are installed correctly on your computer and the phone is detected correctly?
When you start MiUnlock, did you click in the top right corner and update the app to the latest version before requesting unlock?
Edit:
When I unlocked my phone, the Mi Account said that the sim wasn't activated but I could still send and receive SMS.

Question T-Mobile Bootloader Unlock Code ERROR - Serial number or unlock code is invalid

I had this problem last week on my previous phone.
And again today on the new 9Pro I just bought.
I type in all the usual stuff and I get an error.
I triple checked my info.
I did this without any issues last year.

I'm using the unlock code in this format. What you see in the bottom of the pic is what I'm pasting into my phone.
With the exception this is a random Internet pic, not my actual outpout.

Not sure what to tell you, did you do this from the phone or PC?
If you flash the Tmo->Eu MSM, you can bypass needing this process at all. If you are planning to use custom roms on this phone, it is recommended to start with the Tmo->Eu version and then do updates to the version you want and flash from there. I don't think any current rom builds are specifically for the Tmo variant but I may be wrong about that.
If you're planning to stay on the Tmo rom and want me to try, PM me a picture (I will manually type it out) of the unlock code and the other info and I will try to submit it for you. It takes 1 full week to get the unlock.bin back

It would be cool if you could just test yours to see if the TMO unlock website is just broken again or not. It's gone down before.

Question Unable to unlock bootloader

I am unable to unlock the bootloader (I know every little detail of the process and I have done it successfully again in another xiaomi lisa device).
All the drivers are installed, phone is recognized, I have tried with adb and with miflash_unlock without success. It doesn't start countdown. I get the message that I must have a Mi account registered in my phone (as of course I do). With adb I get the error 'Token Verify Failed, Reboot the device'. I have to mention that I used Windows 10 and the original usb cable.
I believe the problem is that in Mi Account -> Devices , the SIM card seems that is not recognized, although is working fine.

Check that your device appears here and use the same account/sim.
I confirm that my device appears in Xiaomi cloud. I also tried to make a new account and warned me that my phone number is also connected to another account. I continued finishing the creation and tried again to unlock bootloader. The result was exactly the same, with adb and windows application too.

Surely correct but check anyway.

Edit:
Have you tried logging in this way?
My mistake. I hadn't add my account.
At last I continued the unlocking process and started the countdown.
But Sim card continues to be shown as missing in my account. Nevermind anyway...
