Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (SM-G988U) from Verizon Wireless. I am not from the US, I got the phone from a guy who bought in the US.
I am currently in Romania using Vodafone SIM card (Idk if this is relevant but thought I should give as much info as possible).
The thing is, no dialer code works, *#06# for IMEI code, *#0*#, *#*#88#*#* and all the other ones. It either says invalid code or something like that or "UNKNOWN APPLICATION".
I am running original unrooted firmware Android 11 One UI 3.0 (G988USQU1CTL4).
Is there anything I can do to solve this? And is there a way to get rid of the Verizon stuff without rooting? (like changing CSC or something I don't know I'm not all that knowledgeable regarding this stuff, I just read the stuff posted on the forums)

Not sure if it will work. But try downloading the Google Phone Dialer and see if they work in that app.
I get the same errors with the Google Phone app too.
Codes won't work if the BL is unlocked or rooted.
Happened on my old S9
At least read the whole post before replying , I am running completely original unrooted software. Didn't touch a thing on it.
Didn't mean to make it sound passive aggressive, just frustrated with the whole thing.

Hi Guys
I bought the galaxy s6 G920P used from eBay and have ran into troubles after rooting it.
See my other thread which i accidentally posted in General Q&A, May be i can get some better answers here..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/help-samsung-g920p-root-t3289569
So basically now I have a device thats running stock rooted ROM, but I Cant get 4g to work. I have made sure the APN settings are correct from my provider. Also after a restart, the device takes about 2-3 minutes to pick up any cell signal.
My main question is that when I got my device it was not rooted, and everything was working fine ( I did not have to manually enter my career's APN settings and I had 4g data). Also there was no traces about the "sprint" on my device, no splash screen or anything.
Anyone has any idea which ROM the device could originally be on? Is there any stock non-sprint version of android 5.1.1 for G920P?
Thanks in advance and sorry about the noob questions ( Biggest mistake is I should have made a backup of original ROM)
No one ?

How did you root it? Also, you may need to unlock it.
Make sure to check your carriers bands with the ones the phone supports:

}
You should beable to find the support bands on your carriers website, you may also be able to call a store.
I have this phone from Sprint and of course there is always the splash screen and the annoying sprint apps. If this screen wasn't there if may have been a custom ROM although you would have seen the red text about the system when booting. Although it wasn't really possible in the past (due to CDMA and carrier locks), it is possible with the s6 to bring this device from other US carriers to sprint (http://www.sprint.com/landings/bring-your-own-phone/). I am not sure if you are basing the model based on the fact that it said Sprint or if you are certain that was the actual model (I believe the model number is also sometimes changes by some ROMs).
From my understanding you now have the stock sprint ROM with the sprint screen and annoying apps? I don't believe there is a "Stock" version for this model. U.S. carriers love to put their annoying junk on phones and generally have plans to lease or pay extra per month to subsidize the cost of the phone.
You could check this thread out and maybe it would help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...de-success-sim-unlock-sprint-samsung-t3130294
If not maybe trying another ROM would be a good option especially since you are outside of the U.S. You may even be able to use this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423 since you don't need sprint radio support (this is a risk since the model is not officially supported, but may be worthwhile).
Ok, forgive me ahead of time for anything I've overlooked, but I need a point in the right direction at the very least. I have rooted and flashed multiple ROMs to my N900t , applied countless tweaks, and tested 100s of Xposed modules. The device used to work on the t-mobile network, but I switched to a N910a to use as my main device. During that time I continued to flash, wipe, and repeat trying to learn how android works. I lost the note 4, and when I went to put my new Sim into the note 3, I could not register on the mobile network. I full wiped, went back to full stock nk3, Uninstalled Xposed framework, tried to figure out what the problem is, but I am stuck and have no idea which way to go. I want to get my device working on the network ASAP but at this point, I'm stumped as to what the problem is, let alone the solution. I'm guessing the solution lies in the hidden service menus, but I really don't want to mess things up anymore. I have no problem donating what I can for the help and time. I really want to learn android programming and development, and more than anything I'd like to be able to use the service and device that I have paid for. I've attached screenshots, and I can provide more information to anyone willing to help. Thanks to anyone and everyone who takes the time help.
Device info: SM-N900t, Knox warranty void: 0x1, CSC: TMB ENK3, bootloader pda and baseband: N900TUVUENK3, kernel: 3.4.0- 2587359, rooted, supersu and busy box installed.

Hi guys, I am in Pakistan. I am trying to use my Note3 on several networks but every sim give me error "Not registered on Network". I am able to use data services on every Sim but not calls and SMS.
I rooted my device, installed couple of custom Roms but nothing worked.
Is there any Radio or kernal which can solve my problem? Thanks in advance
Hi, I don't know how but one day i was using my phone and it got stuck and turned off and its been a year now it never turned on. It is hard bricked i guess. It never surpasses the Samsung s4 mini logo. I can get into download mode and recovery mode. I have cwm recovery installed in it. I tried to install if i remember correctly 3 or 4 different stock roms but they don't work. I dont know where the problem is.. It used to work fine. I used to have cm12 on it and use it as a normal phone just without sim access. Thing is I dont know where it is from so I cant decide which firmware to install. On the back of the phone under the battery it says i9195xgsmh but i can't seem to find anything or any firmware related to it. I don't know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.
I made this post in the general forum but someone suggested that I should ask here too, I hope you guys can help me!
@hammadneto
Remove the battery and look at the IMEI number. If you get the 7th and 8th number, you can tell the region(s) it is from. Have a look at this site. Match the number and try flashing a stock rom from there

So when you remove the battery, there is a Samsung sticker on the device(in the battery cavity), that has a barcode near the bottom? Just above and below that barcode there should be a S/N number and IMEI number. From what I can tell, every samsung phone has this.....

It also doesn't see the firmware version and bandwidth
Never heard of any such issue. Try flashing kdz.
After installing software using LGUP, the phone keeps resetting itself
It works!!! For those in need: I turned on LGUP and selected the "ChipErase" option

But now you have wiped your IMEI and serial number. In all my guides I warn people not to use that option.
Right. I haven't checked it out. There is no IMEI or SN now. Can it be restored somehow?
Such things are not allowed to be discussed here on XDA, as far as I have heard. You'll have to find another site to see if there's a way to do that.
In the future, don't go running around without knowing what you're doing, because you will break things, as you have just now done. Most people should never use Chip Erase, as detailed on many threads here.
Success with adding IMEI. Now there is still SN

Yeah this sounds a lot worse than playing with Windows Regedit.
Cloned hdd copies are a beautiful thing...
I've tried everything, please help.. I factory reset a few times, used a VPN, turned on Find device and sync (except SMS and phone because it won't activate my SIM), USB debugging, OEM unlock are all on and it's still the same. Of course I've waited about two weeks... It's on MIUI 12.0.6.0 Global and won't check for updates (says can't connect to network) I'm pretty sure something about its IMEI or something is broken too but IDK how to fix it. I'd love to get some help please
How many hours did it tell you to wait for unlocking?
Are you 100% sure the drivers are installed correctly on your computer and the phone is detected correctly?
When you start MiUnlock, did you click in the top right corner and update the app to the latest version before requesting unlock?
Edit:
When I unlocked my phone, the Mi Account said that the sim wasn't activated but I could still send and receive SMS.
