Many of you know that if you root the phone u cant use Samsung Allshare cast
With the Triangale away app you could fix that problem! and make counter 0 and that works on the Older stock rooms.
But now after flashing latest stock room and stock kernel & root Triangleaway dose help no more.. At least not after a restart..
Problem is that if you use Tri-away it will reset counter and restarts and then Counter will be 0 and you can use Allshare Cast.
But, after a "normal" restart again... Phone will go back to flash counter 1 .. so if you wanna use allshare cast, you will have to do the flash reset before that every time..
So if someone find out a another way to fix this, plz share
Edit Using Stock Room 4.1.2 France DLL7 .
i am sticking to omega 7.3 rom because of that reason...i do make cvw backup once in a week, then triangle away, and i am good to go for a week with allshare cast

I have tried Allshare on rooted stock rom and It worked beautifully.
So allshare cast dongle works if for example i have custom kernel with flash counter 1?
Im talking about STock room 4.1.2 and stock kernel
For example France DLL7 that im using now, and before that several other stock rooms.. When rooting Allshare cast dont work
Right now im on DDL7 with stock kernel and CWM, and use TR away, but after restarting phone counter rases to 1 and ALlshare stops working
Hi all, I got the allshare cast dongle to pair with my Note 2. I also found out after a couple of hours scratching my head why it couldn't connect that custom roms/counter >0 were the problem.
So to poster mentioning at #3 that Omega 10 works, does this mean that you can successfully pair to your allshare cast dongle with Omega 10?
I'm forced to be on stock rooted deodexed LL4 from i9000's thread for allshare. It's livable with the Xposed framework and a couple of mods.
It will be good if other custom roms with counter=0 can work.
Appreciate responses.
Anyway, for combinations I tried (Triangle Away was also part of the whole setup):
FAIL
monx DLK7, DLJ3
stock root + custom kernel
SUCCEED
stock root + custom RECOVERY only

have you tried with this? http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/m...device-status-normal-modification.17/viewfile i have perseus kernel, flash counter 1 but status now shows normal. Maybe like that could work with allshare cast dongle

Hmmm ok worth a try, but do you have the dongle yourself to try? When I tried stock with Redpill 1.0, TriangleAway could reset the counter to 0 without a reboot, but it still failed. Even now, with DLL4 stock root deodex, it's also showing Device Status as Modified. This combo works though.
A note about the display quality - static pics, movies are fine. Games suck, very bad blocking for Bard's Tale, and NFS:MW had tearing at all the high speed areas. NOVA3 was somewhat bearable.

Sorry but i dont have. Wanted to buy but cant live without custom kernel, so atm skipping dongle +heard that gaming is a bit jerky because of laggs. :/

It's not laggy, rather suffers from tearing of the image and bad blocking/artifacting. Happens only in games, pics and movies are fine. One more thing is I notice the static images are also slightly oversaturated on the TV. Don't know if that's the word, but the image is bright but not vibrant.
it works!
omega 17 + triangle away 3.0 on my gt-n7100
and it works perfectly...
I'm on Wanamlite 4.0 and the dongle is not working. Triangle Away just reset to 1 the counter, but not up to zero

Hi guys. I'm forced to surrender my work blackberry and bring my own device. So I got me a Note 2 and gave the S3 to my wife.
The catch and question:
The phone needs to be bone stock in order for the Good Enterprise app to work. If the device is rooted or otherwise tampered with the app will fail to load according to Good, it does some security check.
Of course I rooted the Note 2 the minute I got it in order to do some tweaks and stuff. I also unrooted it and as far as I can the ROM appears to be untouched.
However: the ota 'software update' function (in settings-about) no longer runs. It starts but than hangs forever.
To check I flashed a stock ROM (without root ) and than 'software update' runs fine. As soon as I root (CF-Auto-Root) and unroot (supersu-remove root) the updater hangs again. Without making any mods, just root/unroot.
Anybody any idea what causes this?
. ... every time you Flash a rom. ..the Flash counter rises. .go to download mode to check. ... Use triangle away app to reset your counter back to zero (only for root and not for cwm)

Life goes fast in the fast lane, I found the cause.
After rooting my tablet today using the prerooted.tar.md5 worked succesfully. however it changed my model to t210, i lost use of my IR blaster, been bogging down, sometimes coming unresponsive i did a hard reset on it thinking maybe i had too many apps as well as the 3d next launcher and instead of picking and choosing just did that. So is there a firmware out to get my IR blaster working and model back to the t210R. is there a different md5 file for rooting which has better luck and what is everyone's take on using SuperSu's unroot method. i would also like to still be able to get samsung updates as well.
Thank You much in advance,

You hve 2 ways to become your ir module working
1. Flash Stockrom with Odin
Or
2. Take a look to the rocket tab lite thread at the dev section.

I did the rocket tab this morning IR seems to still not be responsive. I have a newer philips tv so should work amd has worked in the past. My model number is still changed to t210 instead of the 210R. I never made a recovery of the stock rom. Anywhere I can get it?

[Q] P605 Towelroot, then Titanium Backup, now my Statusbar & Task Manager are gone
Hello Guys,
i couldn't find anything specific in the forum yet. I really hope you can help me and i can explain it right (i'm from germany)
I successfully rooted my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE with Towelroot yesterday. I was super happy, Knox was still 0x0 and Status perfectly official.
I just wanted to install some apps that needed rootaccess and kick some bloatware off the device.
So today i installed Titanium Backup and even before i backupped everything, i wanted to get rid of "ChatOn", Businesweek+" and "NY Times". While i was at it, i also removed "Samsung Galaxy App purchase" (sth like that?). I thougt it was the one, that gets you into Samsung App Market, just to show you some cool apps for the galaxy phones?
And that was it. I wanted to freeze the rest with greenify.
Just when i searched for it a few minutes later, i realised that my statusbar was completely gone. Nothing happening when i try to get it down with my finger, its just gone.
Same thing with the task manager, i can press the home button twice, and theres samsung voice but if i hold it pressed longer, no task manager shows anymore.
After i found one Person with the same problem online (no solution) i also checked for incoming calls. They are not shown on the display anymore when the call is happening.
Long story short, i guess it must have happened when i deleted stuff with titanium backup (without backing up anything, so stupid, i know...)
Because everything was fine yesterday and all morning.
What is the best way to solve this?
Flash the original Firmware via Odin? What would that do to my Counter? Flash something else? I never planned to do any of this so that is where i get a little scared. What happens, when i try to connect the device to Kies?
Or should i rather unroot the device and try to get a new one? (I basically bought an extra insurance, so i technically even get a new one, when the displays broken etc.)
Oh and i've already did the cache wipe in recovery mode an multible reboots.
I know it must be so annoying to have people do something without obviously knowing exactly and then ask about it on the internet ...
but i would be so happy if you could give me any hint what to do.
And again, sorry for my english!
Why don't you try to flash the same stock ROM as the one you have with Odin ?
I think this would put the things back to square.:fingers-crossed:
You can find the stock ROM's here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ or here http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=SM-P605
Then restart the procedure of rooting, debloating but make a backup with Titanium backup first.

Okay, thank you very much for your answer! Then i guess i'll just try it with Odin now. Thank you very much for the links, i've already found the firmware (P605XXUCNF2)
Does it matter, which version of Odin i'm using? And i'm still not sure if this sets my knox Counter from 0x0 to 0x1 if it's a stock firmware?
For anyone elses information: I did a factory reset today and the problem is still there, together with the background staying completely black now and a constant message "KeyguardTestActivity has stopped" popping up every second.
I really hope flashing the stock ROM sets everything back to normal.
Thank you so much for your help!

No risk at all to trip Knox to 0x1 if you flash a stock firmware , I believe you have just suppressed a necessary APK !!

Does anybody know how to fix screen mirroring in a rooted stock rom? (SM 310).
I copied the line wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable into the puild.prop (to disable hdcp protection) and after that the message that appears when connection fails is not a hardware incompatibility (as it was before adding the line into the puild.prop) but a error in connection.
dude i did the same thing and i only managed to transfer sound through ez mirror.I have searched all the google and i am afraid that there is no hope in our rooted device...

No dongle. Samsung smart tv
maybe if we flash the stock recovery?? ??i ve searched everywhere but i can not find it! some people with various devices said that this way restored the problem!! !!if you find a link please post it here!! !
i tryied stock recovery also but again no image...
I guess the only solution so far is flash the stock rom and become unroot again
Hic et nunc
today i am going to remove the line i have added in build.prop "wlan.wfd. hdcp=disable" i will flash again stock recovery and i will see.Otherwise i will wait till triangle away app support our model.

No.I think that CUSTOM BINARY:CUSTOM is the problem. We must set it to official. The only solution is to find out if triangle away app will support our device in the future. I tryied to contact the developer but without success...

I installed the official T-Mobile 5.0.1 update N900TUVUFOB6 via Samsung Kies and rooted via Chainfire. I can take pictures okay but when I try to record videos through the stock Camera app, it freezes then reboots the phone, which happens every time! I've tried to install other camera apps from the Play Store but none of them work for video recording. I suspect it's an api issue. Has anyone run into this or know what the problem is? I've even wiped cache and did a factory reset through Recovery but still the same problem. I really need to be able to record videos on my phone, so if anyone has a solution I would be so grateful!

I have the same issue. Wiped the entire phone including internal sdcard, went back to stock firmware but nothing worked. Taking pictures works but as soon as press the record button it freezes and a few seconds later the phone will reboot.
Just to let you guy know what I am sure is going on, this video recording damage has been caused by none other than aosp! if you all have previously installed liquid smooth like I did in 3 separate devices
1.tmo s4
And 2 note 3's (one is tmo and one is sprint) I think it is any asop although each person having this damage to their device should answer if they previously installed aosp and specifically liquid smooth.
I was going to assume this damage was only going to happen on tmo note 3, so I tested it on 2 other phones and sure enough they must be forced to remain running asop (the s4 has candy 5) the sprint note 3 currently has the ever so bugging liquid smooth. I also have tried every clean Odin delete everything known to us layman's on the planet and now I am looking for a NV restore. I already tried so sort of a NV item restore Using the dialer *#9090# then pressing Q and then pressing 0000 then option 2,1,2,3 then all with no change. I read somewhere in the xda's grapevine lol about a flash able zip called "Brick_Loop_FIX_afterRestoringBackup" that starts an built in feature that restores or rebuilds the modem then upon boot restores the NV items. I am assuming they are the same thing. Although, with no thought it will fix anything I will flash the zip tomorrow and let you know. I got a couple things to back up incase whatever may happen capin, unless one of you guys try it first, let me know
Haven't heard from the grapevine what protocol, ims or a static rebuild even does except if your imei is all zeros and your don't have any network or stuck in a boot loop after a nandroiid restore I erpose this will fix those couple thing I have read. Although I assume the dialer hidden menu NV rebuild does not really NV rebuild all like it says it does or the all its referring to is really just the first 2 options that are just a couple basic stuffs or it would have fixed my aosp camera damage. Well never listen to anyone who says aosp is all the rave and how you should try it out lol its blackmail to get you to stay on a bugged out ROM forever! LOL

I had this same exact problem and i fixed it finally after hours of research and trial and error. I noticed that my baseband and bootloader was Nb4 even tho i had flashed lollipop, so i ended up flashing stock lollipop using odin from http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-tmobile/general/5-0-n900tuvufob6-extracted-stock-t3047672 then after flashing i downloaded the lollipop bootloader and used odin 3.09 to flash that bootloader in BL, and the modem in ap, video camera works now and youtube has been fixed also.
How does one find the bootloader version? I checked and noticed the baseband is in fact Nb4, although looking for the bootloader version I just seen the build is Ob6.

Try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en
it tells everything including bootloader version
OK thank you, I will check it out. what does the baseband and bootloader need to be? I mean what does yours read so I know what files to search for and load using version 3.09?
BL and AP, what do they need to show exactly?
Thanks a lot for the help, if this fixes the video recorder I will post many places that you fixed the problem and link back to this thread. =)
After looking at my current setup it does make sense according to what you are saying if the current firmware is 0b4
And both the baseband and bootloader are Nb4.
Should they all 3 be ob4?
- never mind my son said I am sweating over nothing, just to make sure they are all ob4. If this works I am going to be able to use my camera again! Thanks again!
