For those that use the default email app, does anyone know how to enable the width of the email to fit the screen? All my emails falls short of the width and have to scroll left and right.
The Gmail app has the fit to screen feature. Was wondering if an update was coming from samsung to enable this.

Just curious as to if anyone has ported over any of the gesture controls from the GS3. The main ones that would be cool to me is put the phone to your face with the contact info up to start the call. Or swiping to the left or the right on a contact will either call or open SMS window.

The swipe gesture can be found in the DW contacts app. I reckon there are some dependencies from touchwiz needed to port that other function.

I've just upgraded from the original Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 to a Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100
On my old Tab if there was a notification that was too long to fit on the screen I could long press on the notification and it would begin to scroll right to left allowing me to read the whole message. On my shiny new super phone that long press no longer works (instead it brings up a button for App Info which is no help at all!)
Is there a way to read the whole of a notification without having to go to launch the app associated with it?
Thanks!
In 4.1 JB you have to put two fingers on it and slide down to expand the notification. Although it doesn't work for all notifications.

Thanks for the reply.
That seems to work for Gmail but not for Pulse and if there is more than one email then the expanded version is basically no better than the unexpanded version. You still need to go from the notification screen to the Gmail inbox to see any of the message.
Seems a bit of a step backwards from the older version on Android.
Hey I found his nice app for displaying missed called, email and text message notifications on the lock screen somewhat like the iphone. It's setup as a live wall paper to show notifications in the background, that way you don't need to change our your original lockscreen.

can someone post the apk, it says that my nexus 7 is not supported for some reason.
The app is pretty good but I notice the home screen lags just a bit with it enabled.

I had major lag with this. Might need a 4.2 update before it runs right. Great app tho.

Same here. Too much lag to use.
Trying to figure out how to make the widget show on the main screen (under the clock) like in your image. Can't see a setting that does it... anyone else figure that out?

That's a screenshot of WidgetLocker, not the stock lockscreen.
My buddy has the Note 2 on T-MOBILE and had these pink [email protected] on it not on outside of screen though. Wondering what is it and how it got there.

Really NO ONE AT ALL?
Its the tmobile my account icon. With that app your plan’s usage information will be updated once per day and display in your phone’s notification bar. The T-Mobile My Account icon will also display in your phone’s status bar until this feature is disabled.
To disable this feature, open the T-Mobile My Account app and select Menu > Options or deselect the check box located on the first screen of ‘What’s new in T-Mobile My Account’.

Honestly its hard to tell. But the screen facts: each amoled screen is made up with certain amount of chemicals and that pink spot might be from an excessive amount of one chemical or just a pressured pixel area. Either way it should be under warranty

I'm guessing by the Google Window. Is there a screen protector? Could be that, just do the screen test in *#0*# and see if it still appears. Otherwise, maybe he spilled some ink or something, I really doubt it's under the screen but anything is possible, in that case do a rma.

I've looked and I haven't found a solution to this. I check my work email on the road, but when I'm at work I don't need notifications for email I already can see on my desktop. Any way to make sure that I can disable the notification lights between certain times?
If on TW, have you tried blocking mode

If you can find the command line to toggle the lights, you can use chron4phone app to schedule it. Requires root, I think. Chron4phone available on google play.
