[Q] The right RUU for my HOX

i want to go back to stock jb. Now i dont know wich ruu i need

Go to software number in settings..it'll be easier to find it that way

first what do u mean with this ?
and on software number there is ordroid 11.1.2 that i am actually running ... but thats not important for the ruu or ?

Dude the software number is the most important thing ....the name if the ruu comes as the name as the software number

Fastboot oem readcid
And
Fastboot getvar version-main
Post these 2 results here !

After that run the ruu from pc WITH admin rights !

maybe ok i extract the rom.zip...there inside was an .img named HBOOT 1.36..but im on an cid that only support hboot 1.31 ... what now ?

Why don't u just run the ruu as it is ?
Ow and by the way ..... Your cid is in the list with the 1.36 hboots !
Ow and back up your sd card as it may be wiped !

i see i am not up to date okay ehm what are the steps to go back to stock ?
i read so much tutorials and some says flash first stock recovery and so on...
i heard a lot about bricking hox after flash an ruu so i want make any mistakes

Do you have the stock nandroid backup ?
Strange.....i never saw somebody brick his phone by running a ruu
But you should have took a backup from the original Rom.
Flash is.back with its boot.img after that you download the 3.14 stock recovery and you are done !

no as i flashed the first custom rom i missed to backup with nandroid

:thumbdown: well if you don't want to run the ruu you have to extract the rom.zip and the boot.img. I have the stock recovery here

Run the ruu WITHOUT the phone connected, it will create a temp folder (search for the newest temp folder) it will contain the Rom.zip with the boot.img inside (at least i assume that, as i never did this)
Flash the boot.img, perform a full wipe and flash the rom, boot into android to confirm that it works and then flash the stock recovery

I think you need to install java sdk and the HTC drivers ....
Maybe this tool can help you

It gets the CID & MID for you if you follow the instructions of the tool, but i don't know if it needs the drivers and sdk platform pre-installed...

succeeded. I did HTC driver installation
this is my version. / 3.14.401.600

This one matches the european cid and software

You have to relock the bootloader and keep the phone in fastboot usb mode and run the ruu with admin rights from the pc
Make sure you see fastboot usb in the bootloader menu otherwise the ruu will fail (connection loss)

You do not have to flash anything for this ruu, you only have to relock the bootloader with this fastboot command
Fastboot oem lock
The ruu flashes the stock rom, stock boot img and the stock recovery back for you.
And charge the batt full before starting ! In case of trouble you have enough batt to recover

[Q] The mysterious vanishing 5.1204.162.29

For the life of me I can't find the RUU for 5.1204.162.29 (unbranded HTC__621 Taiwan).
I'm trying to restore to stock but having a hard time about it. Before I throw this phone into my junk draw to be forgotten forever, I thought I might as well put out a call for help.
So. Help?

Cheers, but I've tried this file before and I come up with an error 155.
Reconfirming what I've done:
charged phone to 100%
relocked bootloader.
plugged into PC (windows 8)
run RUU with admin rights
RUU does its thing for a few minutes and then comes up with error 155.

Try it on a windows 7 machine !

Just did - gave me an error 170 this time. I tried with multiple cables and USB ports.

Maybe the 2.17 ruu will work
Edit : I don't see the 2.17 only a 3.14 here

Well if the ruu gives you an error you could always find the ROM.zip file located in your temp folder and flash it via fastboot.

Otherwise you can flash the standalone JB firmware and restore a "new" nandroid backup.

[Q] HBOOT CID problem

Hi guys,
let me fill you in on my situation.
I live in The Netherlands, last year i got my one x.
My service provider is vodafone, current HBOOT version is 1.12 and my CID is VODAP102
At the moment i''m running slim bean 3.1.0 official (android 4.1.2)
I would like to upgrade to a JB ROM but i cant because my HBOOT version is to low.
I followed the instructions from the link below (short version: lock phone, fastboot oem RUU, etc..)
But after locking the phone it wont boot into RUU and it wont flash the new HBOOT version.
I checked and i downloaded the correct HBOOT for my CID.
I followed the steps in the video to the letter but always fails when trying to reboot into RUU and after that to flash the new HBOOT.

My best guess would be that the CID that my phone returns to me is not the CID my phone realy has.
Because when i look up the CID it is assosiated with either vodafone UK or vodafone germany not vodafone NL.
Can u help me ?

If you have a backup of stock ICS rom, restore this and lock your phone.
Take the upgrade by OTA and re-unlock your phone with the first code by htc.
p.s. SlimBean works on 1.2x hboot?

i dont have the stock backup anymore.

I searched a backup of ics or the ruu for Jelly, but i don't found nothing.
I hope that someone can post the backup or RUU.

Correct, its fastboot oem lock
The file is a ruu, it should flash back the stock rom,kernel and recovery back to the phone via a setup menu on the pc. It reads the phone and flashes all for you

You can't run JB roms now ! First you need to update the bootloader. Are you on full stock then first ota all the way up to jellybean ! Otherwise return to stock first and update

Im wanna get back to full stock rom using a nandroid backup i found:
Nandroid Backup 3.14.206.27 CID O2__001
Nandroid Backup 1.29.206.11 CID O2__001
which one do i have to use im currently running HBOOT 0.43

At least the 1.29. The 3.14 is not going to work because of your low hboot. If you want to be certain you need to do a fastboot command

i installed the 1.29 but now the phone is stuck in a bootloop what can i do please

Did you flash the boot.img from the nandroid backup ?
Made a full wipe before restoring the nandroid ?

First i cant access clockworkmod from the recovery menu, when i try to it stops loading the clockworkmod and reboots the phone.
i tried to flash the boot.img from the nandroid backup with no luck
is there anyway to restore the full nandroid backup from a zip file
