DRM Stripping Software? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hey guys, I'm in desperate need of some DRM stripping software for iTunes content and was wondering what you guys are using or recommend. For now I just need free one that will work for music. Not planning on stripping any movies right now.
Thanks in advance guys.

I'm really not doing anything that's not legit. DRM stripping may be frowned upon. And I did try Google but nothing I found was free.

It's not illegal fist of all. The best way is to stop using that virus called itunes. But if you must then burn the album to disc and re-import it as mp3 format.
I did this with all of my itunes albums when I stopped using iCommunist devices. Xbmc organizes music so much better.

Well I won't stop using iTunes because I am a Mac user and do a lot of work with iPhone's and iPad's whether it be jailbreaking or beta software stuff and iTunes is just to easy since I am using my Apple products all the time. I ended up getting a virtual CDRW because getting an actual one is so old school. The virtual ones work very well for music but I need to go to Best Buy and pick up a real one for Movies because the virtual ones aren't large enough.

Try double twist

Currently using the Incredible, but Windows Phone 7 seems really awesome. Microsoft says devices will be ready for the holidays on Verizon, and my wife just said Merry Christmas...so I wonder, should I?

It's hard for us to answer that question without a little information on how you use your phone. Personally I had to sacrifice some functionality coming from Windows Mobile but for me it's well worth it because the overall experience is so much better with WP7.
I really like the idea of xbox live gaming, netflix streaming, and office being built in. I do use exchange, want some form of tethering, like apps that use my camera for things like augmented reality and bar code scanning.
I have multiple gmail accounts, multiple live accounts, and work exchange. On Android I can have these all setup with active-sync.
This is just a sampling and given how young the platform is I would expect to give up some things I have return use too.

I highly recommend an HD7. They come with sound producing front grills at each end. There is a lot to like about WP7 but right now it is a little shy of features. That will change as time goes by.

Syncing all your various email over the cloud is no problem although you have to have a seperate tile for each account, no tethering yet except by hack only the lg phones have any sort of augmented reality - this is version 1 software - I like it and will stick with it but some features are missing
I have tried all three main phone OS's and even though there are a lot of missing features, I prefer Windows Phone 7.
What about DLNA streaming to my xbox? I'd like to browse and beam multimedia from my phone to my xbox. I don't want to navigate with my xbox. What about video?I hate that .3gp isn't supported by the xbox or ps 3. I thought I read that they shoot in wma right?

Wp7 uses activesync for hotmail and exchange, and google has google sync. It supports multiple activesync accounts. That isn't a factor. Activesync IS microsoft technology, you know.

Its really a nice gadget to have, fast smooth but you may feel the lack of some features which you are already familiar of. If you have the extra cash to burn then go for it, just dont expect WP7 to satisfy all your 'techy' needs.

battery life for me seems on par with my hd2, not great, not bad. Depends really on screen brightness and how much you use the device.

I think only the lg's have dlna streaming right now, seems like if one supports it, it shouldn't be that hard for all wp7 to support it down the road.

I may have to hold off since Dish released their app today!

One thing Google needs to improve - Podcast integration

I love ICS, especially for the small things like the Google Music controls on the lock screen (even the secure lock screens). but, it makes their podcast app Listen look even more dated than it already was.
i know there are quality third part podcasting apps, but you guys think Google will touch this soon? Will they add features like speed control, drag-able organization, and quick controls on the lock screen? Or will they finally integrate podcasts into Google Music?
Anyone have any insight?
As far as I can tell, Listen is dead. A good replacement which I use is Pocket Casts. It's well worth the low price.
BeyondPod has my vote for best podcast Manager.
I just have it use my Google Reader feeds to transition from Listen.

Beyond Pod is what I use as well. Not a real polished app but definitely gets the job done. Easy to setup and can automatically download new podcasts and delte old ones from storage.

What makes BeyondPod so much nicer than Listen? I mean i'm open to paying for a great app and such, but Listen has yet to demonstrate any huge flaws that I've felt the need to replace it.
Very curious what has made others dump Listen/pay for a replacement.
i love listen but since labs has been shut down so is further development of listen. i still use it though. im just very used to it.
Just use Pocket Casts best app on the market for podcasts and they have just amazing support team,,,, amazing support team... I can't say it enough.
I do a lot of podcasts and have tried them all, the one that works great for me is dogcather

I got it for free via Amazon's App Store promotion. However I feel bad for getting it for free now. Apparently, Amazon asked them if they wanted to be a part of the Free promotion; Amazon gave them a bunch of numbers about why this would be good for pocket casts, how it would increase sales overall, yadda yadda yadda. Well after the promotion, they obviously had a TON of new users (all of whom did not pay nor did Amazon pay PocketCasts), but they really did not make any money and instead had to find ways to support all these new users. With that said, I probably never would have downloaded (and tried) the App, so while I didn't specifically give them money, I recommend it all the time and encourage users to buy it. I'm super upset that Google cancelled updates/support for Listen but I can at least hope that 3rd party developers such as pocket casts can cash-in.

So sad that Google doesn't support Listen anymore.
I've tried almost every similar app but I always go back to Listen for one reason: no other app lists podcasts by date/time added.
I hate the way some apps place the number of unlistened items next to the podcast's name, forcing you to check every item individually. I just want a single, chronological list.

Listen was abandoned long before Labs was axed. The affiliated Google Groups page was forsaken by the developers 12+ months ago.
This is especially curious since Google Analytics must show how widely used it is.

Music

How do you handle your music? I've got a pretty big collection and I use google music most of the time, but some of my flac files have trouble loading on 3g. So i started putting most of my music on my phone, however, I do have some albums that have individual jpg files for album art and are showing up in my gallery. I read that theres a way to actually embed the art into the file itself to prevent it from showing in the gallery? Do any of you use Media Monkey to handle and sort your music?
I use a program called Mp3Tag. It works well.
Here's the link: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
+1 for mp3tag. It's awesome. Fixed my entire mp3 collection with it and Monkey before uploading to Google Music.

Hmm, I deleted all my jpg files that I had, did you fix each album separately or did u just do them all at once? Is it worth making playlists too?
That looks like a great program!
Anyone on OS X know of an equivalent?
I use media monkey and mp3gain before I put them on my phone. They work fine in poweramp, no problem with album art.

Bummer
I saw there was no Mac version of the specific program, I was just interested in a utility that would do the same on Mac.
Years ago I used one but I cannot remember the name. This isn't the one I used but I might give it a go tonight.

I use Media Monkey. Best app in existence.
I have about 19000 tracks on a synology ds211+ running twonky server and use media monkey over smb shares to manage it all. I have one share I dump all my purchased mp3 in. Have media monkey scan that share when I start it up. After I make sure it's all tagged properly I auto-organize (move) them to the share that Twonky sees for music. Keeps Media Monkey from having to rescan the main library since it's kind of large.
Works for me.
Edit: yes, I ask media monkey to store all art in the tags. And I delete the image files afterward. Amazon mp3 has their stuff tagged so well I never have to do anything more than auto-organize it.

wait, does media monkey auto tag? I just spent hours manually tagging each album (120+) with mp3tag
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Monkey will use parts of the existing tag and search for the rest (including covers). It's not pure auto tagging but it's better than manually doing it.
It's great for finding covers. I use Mp3tag when I want to manually embed a better quality cover than what monkey finds. ...or for tag cleaning.
But for mass album tagging, I use monkey.

[Q] Google Play Music

Is there a way or an application that will take music off of my T989 and upload it to the google clound directly? I download music from other sources and want it to be put into my google library. I know I can d/l to my computer, then sync back. I just want to avoid the extra step.
Thanks
Anyone???
Dnt think there is any other way to do that
Sent from my Bulletproof_Doubleshot using Tapatalk 2
I don't think so.....I think only playlists created may sync/upload not the actual song files in the playlist....Google Play Music is awesome in theory but flawed in execution....Its the little things that hold this app/service back from reaching its full potential

Downloading music

Can someone please tell me a legal, easy way how to download music directly on the device (not using a computer)?
It would help get me in my boss's good books. He just got a note2 recently. He is looking for something similar to iTunes, where he can purchase (if necessary) and download music directly on his note2.
P.S. I am surprised I don't see a way how to download music from the Google Play Music app

I've removed the app from my phone, but the included samsung (?) Music hub app. Did that not allow for the purchase of music?
