Screen Rotation problem - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently running latest Wanam (DLL7) with Perseus 30.1 where for no reason the screen rotation stops working and is fixed by a reboot. This has happened twice already anyone else experience this? Is this a hardware or software issue?
Thanks

Flickering screen

Not sure if this has been brought I tried looking a few pages back but didn't see anything. Anyone else having this problem with the screen flickering while its dimming ? I noticed it was doing this even on a stock ROM unrooted. Then I rooted and loaded a custom rom and it still does it. Does anyone else have this issue ?

It dims really slow and there is a flicker otherwise. Known thing.

Had the same problem, I did a factory data reset. It's a pain in the ass but it fixed the problem.
Good Luck.

Dropped calls when rotating to the side

Don't know if this is because of a faulty phone or there is a fix for this, but i tried disabling auto-rotate and it still causes the same problem for me. Anyone have experience with this issue and how it can be fixed?
Which ROM, kernel and CDMA or gsm. Carrier info also please.

I have two t989's. The black one was good, while the white one had the rotation issue. Turning it one way caused it to flip in the opposite direction, etc. Flashing rotation fixes didn't help.
The fix was to install cm9 and go in to settings > gyroscope, and then to calibrate. After that, I could install AOKP and it would work without any further modifications.

Hello everyone, today i flashed my phone for the first time with Synergy Rom , everything went smooth but now i have a problem.
Now when i rotate my phone , the screen DOES rotate, but it does it in the opposite way, this is rather annoying and i wish to fix it
Any solution?
I believe you just need to flash a tmo kernel.

help with issues with synergy spr gn2 note 2 rom

Hi all, I finally decided to root and install a custom rom on my note2 however im having some issues with the synergy rom I need some guidance on please.
1. I installed r83 and then r85 over r83 but my device still says my build version is synergyrom_r83 #
2. while running this rom I am experiencing many freezes that require me to pull the battery and seems to be freezing when the phone is in landscape mode.
thanks for reading.
1. That doesnt matter. Its an oversight on my part.
2. Turn off the ripple effect in Settings>Lock Screen> Ripple effect

Thanks for the speedy reply, I will try your suggestion and report.
@the_plattypus
I turned off the ripple effect as suggested unfortunately it is still freezing. Any other suggestions?
Also my battery is being used to quickly, like 10% in 30 mins.
Also when the screen is off and I hit the home screen to turn on the screen sometimes it is bringing up the recent apps menu as the stock rom did before the last official update.
Can anyone else assist with above issues?
I would love to stay on this rom, I hope these issues are fixable.

ok I will install the perseus kernel.
how about the freezing and the home button turning on the screen but bringing up the recent app list?
I really appreciate your assistance buddy!!!
I tried turning off the ripple affect but it still froze so I installed the No Lock app and my note2 hasn't froze since.
I installed the perseus kernal and my battery life is now great.
what can be done about the home button issue? once more the last issue is that when pressing the home button to turn on the screen it is also opening the recent apps list as if I was holding down the home button. this same issue was fixed in the latest official note 2 update.
how can I stop it from doing this?
Platt posted a fix for several things in the synergy thread OP. Flash that and see if the home button issue is resolved.

It probably wont be resolved with that. I still experience it. Ill need to redo the mc2 update to see if a mod from ma7 carried the code over to mc2 base.
