Don't know if this is because of a faulty phone or there is a fix for this, but i tried disabling auto-rotate and it still causes the same problem for me. Anyone have experience with this issue and how it can be fixed?
Which ROM, kernel and CDMA or gsm. Carrier info also please.

It seems never happen to me.
Just change one stable rom.
Problem solved.. Probably caused by faulty radio image.. Reinstalled latest radio and that fixed the video recording

Hi guys, got a strange issue here. Whenever I dial a number the phone will ring a few times then the signal bars will jump from whatever they are on to nothing with an x and call will fail. However; the phone will still be ringing on the other persons end, and if I redial then it will jump into the call I tried to make previously. The same could happen again during the call. Strangely, this only seems to happen when I bring the phone up to my ear, if I use hands-free it only happens 1 time out of 10. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using SuperNova Xtreme ROM, any more info needed?

Same peoblem here with stock... Heard it's a bug with proximity sensor. Does your phone drop the signal when you lock the screen?

Unfortunately, I have also read that there is no fix for that bad luck for us, I guess
Well, I've just done a quick Google and found that sometimes simply taking the back off the phone and hoovering everything out can help, as well as blowing/hoovering on the line between the earpiece and the screen. I'll try it out and post my findings.

Hey, I've managed to fix it, but only by flashing with an entirely new ROM/RUU. It's the only thing I could find to fix the issue.

Hello,
I have been having issues when it comes to receiving the voicemail notification icon. I am running the latest MIUI ROM
(1.11.11). I also had the same issue with CM 7.1.0. I'm on the Bell network in Canada. For the life of me I can't figure out how to fix this. Google Voice would be a viable option if I lived in the States.
Has anyone figured out a fix for this yet?
Thanks in advance!

If all your voicemail settings are correct, it might be a hang over from the "own number" bug; check Settings>About phone>Status and make sure your phone number isn't listed as unknown.

It does show up as unknown. I know I fixed that issue before but now I don't remember how. Any advice?

Apparently I must have fixed this when I was running CM7, but I have not come across a way to fix it on MIUI. However, I'm not entirely sure that will fix the voicemail issue.

I'm not sure the fix in MIUI, in CM7 it was under Call Settings. I'm not 100% sure that will fix it for you, as you're running MIUI but, that was one of the symptoms of the unknown number bug in CM7.

whenever I install CM10 on my tmobile galaxy S2, people seem to not hear me correctly. is there a fix for this. anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Disable/enable noise suppression in call settings menu. The case is usually the culprit. Also can try flashing different radio as a last resort.
Also Google it. Xda has hundreds of people with same issue. I'm sure u can resolve this.

Hey everyone,
I'm running 01/06/13 CM10.1 and have been having an odd issue. Its been occurring since flashing 4.2.1 so it may be a 4.2.1 issue...
I'm running a d2att, twrp 2.3.3.1, cm10.1 i747.
Occasionally, probably twice a day, for an unknown reason, my hardware keys act like they are being held in instead of a regular single touch when pressed. This is causing Recent App List to pop up on a single touch of the home key and Google Voice to come up when single pressing the menu key.
Thinking this was an issue with CM10.1 I disabled hardware key shortcuts in the CM settings but I am still having issues (due to the default mapping).
Only temporary solution is a reboot, but it just happens again a few hours later.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is this a known issue? ...and are there any fixes? Thanks!

You should probably try another rom (make a nandroid so you can go back easily and quickly) just to see if it is hardware or software. That is what I would do, it is a hassle though I know.
I'll give it a try. kinda wanted to try slim bean anyway. I'll report back and let everyone know how it goes after a couple days =)

hey just saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085171(10.1 known issues) remembered seeing your thread about this issue.
Your problem is one of 10.1's issues, so it is most likely software.
Thanks for finding that!! =) Now I won't be left wondering if its my phone while I test new ROMs =) I decided to flash Tasks AOKP and am very happy. As of today in call volume and speaker distortion were fixed. I think I'll stay on this one a while. Just wish it had lock screen shortcuts. =p
